Best Western Hotel Crimea

We were really pleased with our choice of hotel for a four day break in Turin. Ideally located at the other side of the river it was quiet but easy to get to main tourist areas on foot or nearby bus/ trams etc. The staff were so helpful and friendly , giving us recommendations for local restaurants, phoning for taxis and even allowing us to charge our phones when we returned to collect our suitcases and use toilet etc before leaving for the airport. Rooms were really comfortable with air conditioning and mini fridges. ( would have been helpful to have had a note of cost of bottled water as we didn’t know if it was chargeable or not but it was only one euro so not really a problem) The breakfast buffet was lovely with plenty of choice including cereal, breads, fruit, yogurts, meats, cheese and cake! Although there was no cooked options there was more than enough to choose from. Communication with the hotel was excellent. They even had an electrical adaptor ready for me when I messaged to ask about sockets beforehand. Would highly recommend this hotel and would certainly return if I come back to Turin.

We chose this hotel because it was in the most convenient location for our road trip overnight stay. By the highway and with free parking. The breakfast is quite good for Italy, omelettes are also served and coffee is made by a barista. The hotel itself is old-fashioned, but everything is still in a more or less decent condition. The sounds of passing cars could be heard in the room, but it's a fairly low-traffic road (at least on the weekend) and it didn't bother us much.

Colazione all’italiana, ottima caffetteria. A sorpresa abbiamo visto una partita di calcio di serie A nel megaschermo della sala bar senza nessun costo aggiuntivo. Personale gentilissimo e prezzi chiari
Palazzo Del Carretto-Art Apartments and Guesthouse

Very central location (5 minutes walk from P. San Carlo), beautiful, large rooms, comfortable beds, good styling with modern and classical elements, fully-equipped bathroom, kitchenette and minibar, welcome amenity, friendly and helpful communication throughout the stay, self-service checkin outside reception opening hours without any problems and flawless --> VERY strong recommendation if you're ok with a no 24x7 reception, no embedded restaurant or breakfast place (for the latter - please remember that this is Italy - just go to one of numerous coffee bars in a very short walk, get yourself a cappuccino and a cornetto, and be happy!). Palazzo del Carretto is a perfect way to start your discovery of Torino. Loved it.

The hotel was in a good location near by train station and the city center. Room was clean and bed was confortable. Staff was also friendly. Unfortunately there was couple odd things that left us little dissapointed. We had an AC in our room but there was a sign that said not to use it. There was 32 celsius degrees in our room. We had to ask a permission from reception to use AC. After that it was ok. Also when we were doing check-out we found out that every 2 water bottles that was brought to our room everyday was not free. There was no any sign or price available so of course we though that its free. We had no idea that the waters in the fridge was some products sold by the hotel in a minibar. During check-out we had to pay almost 2€ for every bottle what we had drunk. It felt like a scam for us. So do not drink that water it’s not free and highly expensive. You can get the same amount of water in a grocery shop for 3€, now we paid 12€. The water in Italy is also good for drinking so you don’t even need to pay anything to take care of your hydration. Otherwise it was a good hotel.
