After spending a week walking the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage, my husband and I sought out a beautiful boutique hotel for some R & R in Portugal. Estoril Vintage Hotel was the perfect choice. The mansion is spectacular with no detail overlooked. The decor was amazing and museum quality. The hotel is spotlessly clean. Our room was perfectly appointed with a very comfortable bed, in-room coffee, nighttime turndown service, and even chocolates waiting on the pillows each evening. The staff was attentive and met every need without question - starting with Jorge when we checked in, the concierge team, and all the way through the wait staff and maid service. The views are spectacular. We had to pinch ourselves each day to make sure this was real. How nice it was for Maria, the owner, to stop by and greet each of the guests individually while we had breakfast on the terrace each day - a lovely, personal touch. I cannot recommend this hotel enough for those looking for a unique and pampering experience in the Estoril/Cascais area. We walked to Cascais almost every day of our 6-day stay; only a short 10-15 minute walk. The beach is right there and many shops, restaurants, and places nearby to grab a souvenir, a sangria or Vinho Verde. This was a good location to catch a train into Lisbon (5 minute walk to the Monte Estoril train station) and we also spent a day in Sintra. The hotel is far enough away from the noisy downtown for tranquility, but close enough to the action when you want it. This place was amazing.
This hotel was amazing. We were in town for a wedding and they were incredibly accommodating to our entire group. The staff are all very friendly and welcoming, and were available to help with any requests. The restaurant also had amazing food. We were a short walk away from the beach and town, and there are lots of bars, restaurants and shops nearby. The property itself is beautiful and very unique, and I would absolutely recommend anyone stay here while visiting Cascais and the surrounding area.

First: the staff in reception, breakfast restaurant, proshop and everywhere were extremely nice, helpful and friendly!! If we had any problems, the were solved most quickly. We also liked the villa, big enough and well equipped. Masterbedroom is huge and bright, the beds are wide and comfortable. The whole hotel area is green and pleasant. We are sure we'll stay there in the future, too😊
We had a very nice and wonderful stay during the whole November. Everybody working there was so friendly and serviceminded. The resort was peacefull and the golfcource was near. Many thanks and Merry Christmas to all of You there! Maija and Eero from Finland

My wife and I stayed here recently on a golf tuition break, and loved it. It’s a beautiful hotel, and feels very luxurious and new. Our room was very nice — spacious, with a huge bed and sparkling bathroom (great shower!). We were lucky enough to have a view of the golf course, principally the second hole, and I spent a lot of time watching people tee off from the balcony. We weren’t on an all-inclusive rate, but still enjoyed plenty of food choices. The lower ground floor is essentially divided into three separate spaces — there’s the Rocca restaurant, for fine dining in the evening; Five Palms for the fairly substantial buffet breakfast; and our favourite, Trent Jones, which does excellent burgers, pasta and snacks. This is where we spent a lot of our time, particularly after realising that they were showing the English Premier League games! The staff were excellent — very courteous, knowledgeable and friendly. At one point they even let us have the remote control to choose our own games! We also spent quite a bit of time basking in the sun by the lovely outdoor pool. There’s also an indoor pool, which is heated (the outdoor pool is not, although you soon get used to it after a brisk dunk). But our main goal was to try to improve our golf game, and it’s here where Quinta da Marinha truly excels: Artur, the golf pro who gave us lessons, was wonderful and has really given us a solid basis, essentially teaching us the art of the golf swing from scratch. We really enjoyed the driving range, and I even got to play a couple of rounds on the wonderful 18-hole course. The 13th hole, with an incredible view of the Atlantic, is a must see! We loved it, and can’t wait to return to either this or the Boutique Hotel, where we also stayed for a few days. I’ll write a separate review for that — we had a golf course view there too! Highly recommended!
This is a great resort that we would stay at again. The rooms are clean and staff is great. My partner and I were on a 2 week vacation in Portugal and we wanted some place that we could have some pool time after doing morning excursions. There is a golf course that looks very nice. We didn’t play on this trip but maybe next time. The pool is nice and very relaxing. We did a trip to Sintra from this location and it’s only 20 minutes away. We went to Cascais which was only a 10 minute Uber ride. The breakfast which is included was very good. We would definitely stay here again.

The thing about ”boutique” hotels is they often have limited rooms with little consistancy between them. Often the hotel is a former mansion or castle that has been converted to create the accomodations. The rooms featured on the website often look amazing but many of the rooms are often former butler's pantries or attic rooms the crazy aunt lived in with alll her cats so you have to be careful when booking. This place has some of that. Had we ended up in a former little closet room in the corner, we would not have been happy here. Fortunately we had booked the designer room with a balcony facing the ocean (210) which was fantastic to enjoy the ocean views. We moved the long bench from in front of the bed onto the balcony during the day to use as a sun lounger. Room was smaller but had tall ceilings and nicely remodeled. Comfy bed and nice bathroom with shower with all kinds of water options plus toilets had heated bidet hose. It is important to know that the pool area is seasonal due to the close proximity to the ocean and doesnt open until mid-April. During much of year it is closed as the North Atlantic waves thrash over the pool area filling it with dirty sea water. The hotel should state this on their homepage to avoid guests feeling a bit misled. I attached some pictures showing the pool area we had without any lounges and water looking like a sewer discharge. The weather we had was sunny and hot yet couldn't use the pool so felt frustrated. I'm a daily lap swimmer so had been hoping to use the pool in the mornings for my swims. The view of the ocean with the crashing waves against the rocks made the stay very relaxing. Also it is a nice short walk to town with wonderful views along the way. Additionally it is a beautiful walk or run to the west along the rock cliffs by the ocean. Truly magical location. The hotel itself was lovely and ecclectic with fun art throughout. Hotel staff was very nice and the included a quality breakfast buffet was tasty and plentiful. We had to leave in the middle of the night for a very early flight out. The manager had take away lunches for us which was a nice touch. We booked the hotel in part because it was part of the AMEX Platinum Hotel collection which comes with some additional benefits if you have the card. We had been to Lisbon many times but so glad we discovered Cascais this time. Certainly will be back.

Well, I may be biased because we just stayed in 2 other 5 stars hotels, but this one is just not on the same level. I give it 10/10 on location, lobby, and pool area. Our room on the other hand was very dated. We saw some pictures of other rooms that look more updated but ours for sure was not. No full size mirror, no charging outlets for phones. We brought adapters, but all outlets were taken up with lamps and the tv. The tub height made it difficult to access and water was all over the place because of the type of shower head. The water pressure if very good. Breakfast is fine.

We stayed here for 4 nights and loved every second of it. This hotel was like something out of a Bond film. Every room in the hotel is unique with its own character. We had a room with a sea view (which I highly recommend reserving). The rooms were all charming, large with comfortable beds and amazing views off the (mostly) private patios. The pool was super clean and a nice area to spend time with a drink from the bar. Breakfast every morning was bountiful with fresh pastries, fruits, eggs, juices and coffee. The views from around the restaurant and pool area are the best in Cascais. Walk out the door and you are steps away from the town and some great shops, restaurants and bars. The train stop is also steps away if you want an easy way into Lisbon. We cannot wait to return!
This hotel is beautiful and the staff very friendly and helpful. Everyone speaks English. The hotel is very well situated on the seafront and in a quiet area near everything but if you want a room facing the sea, it s quite expensive. The pool is not heated so we didn t swim at this time of the year

First of all, the conclusion: perfect! From the left hand side of Cascais train station, go to the taxi station to take a taxi, 10-15 euros. I remember to order dinner at the Michelin Star Restaurant. The 4-way style is actually a 14-way style. It is best to reserve around 8 o'clock because it takes nearly 3 hours to eat, and must contain red wine! It is highly recommended to book a sea view room with a balcony. It is best to stay at the hotel at 4 o'clock and you will be able to stay in the hotel! Toiletries are Hermes! Take it away... Thank you! Everything is perfect, thank you for your broadband! Will definitely go again! Please take care!

The most satisfactory hotel I have ever stayed in this trip to Spain and Portugal. Very good hotel, just by the Atlantic Ocean, the hotel itself is a castle, the rooms have Chinese embroidery, and the price is very high. In addition, the restaurant is one Michelin star, but oysters are not recommended because they are more expensive. There are also two small beach baths nearby, suitable for beginner surfing.

Everything about this hotel was exceptional. The room was wonderful, Deluxe room with Sea view. Clean and lots of extra treats, cakes and chocolates daily and mini bar stocked with non alcoholic drinks. The staff here are exceptional, friendly providing a first class service. The Evening meal in the restaurant was gourmet food at its best and the staff were very knowledgeable about the wines. The buffet breakfast was fantastic, plenty of choice. The hotel itself was beautiful, the location great, the parking was easy. The spa facilities were truly wonderful. I would definitely recommend this hotel. They have the right balance of providing luxury whilst being family friendly.

A very special place to stay; combination luxury hotel, art gallery, historical fort. It was a special treat to drive in through the front gate of a fortress to arrive at the door to this hotel. (Although it was confusing that the signage indicated ”Pousada” rather than ”Pestana” which made us wonder if we were at the right place. Staff was excellent; room was beautiful; breakfast was delicious; amenities were perfect. All in all, I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Cascais, especially if they are visiting for the first time. It's a short walk to the centre of town and the wide variety of restaurants, shops and beaches. How often does one get to stay in such a unique setting!!

I Stayed here with 4 friends for 3 nights last week and we had the best time ever .. the rooms were amazing and worked with 2 sharing one suite and 3 of us another. We had so much space and 2 bathrooms for the 3 sharing. The hotel arranged transport from the airport to the hotel and then for our return journey. We were overwhelmed with how attentive ALL the staff were. From the breakfast team (breakfast was delicious ) to the pool staff who served cocktails, delicious rosè and lunch and moved sunbeds as needed and umbrellas to the reception team who couldn’t do enough plus recommending restaurants which were all fantastic. Then there’s the spa which was such a fun experience and my friend had a massage which she said was the best massage ever (she’s a massage expert) I couldn’t recommend this hotel more and cascais is a very special place
