As I reflect on my 3 week trip around Alaska I can't help but realize this was the worst of my experiences, and I stayed at a super 8. The room was musty and in dire need of a DEEP clean. the mattress was indented and old. I left this property with a rash on my neck and face. I brought this to their attention and was simply told ”sorry” and also that there were no bed bugs found in my room. I beg to differ, it took me over a week to recover. This was just the beginning unfortunately. The staff is obviously not happy and not treated well. The overall energy is very stiff and uptight. Restaurants were closed and understaffed, no bartender during the day to make drinks. I went off property for dinner and found great food elsewhere. Overall, its outdated and not worth the price of the room or food. I will say that the spa is so amazing and worth going to and worth the price. Go there and stay someone else in town!

I stayed for a day, and when I took a shower, I found a layer of small sputum on my leg, especially itchy! ! I took a bath every day, I didn't have it before. I just lived here, especially disgusting. The sheets here are not too dirty. I think it is uncomfortable. I have scratched it. The last one was a skin disease. The room was clean. Change the sheets! ! ! too disgusting! Going back to China, I have to check my blood.

The nicest people and accommodated me on anything and everything I needed or wanted. I would love to come back and stay again. The bed was the fluffiest and the view amazing. Off I come back to Alaska, Marriott will be the place for me to stay. It is well worth the $$ for sure!
Maria and Sai in the Great Room were very friendly. Maria served some amazing cocktails too. The view from the hotel room towards the Inlet is fantastic. Perfect place to curl up and read a book! December, however, is off season. So lounge services are suspended.

The most iconic hotel in Anchorage, I had to stay even if I could only afford one night. Everything was good, the room was a bit small. Definitely paying big city prices for little old Alaska, which can feel like price gouging.

The location is very good, the hotel's restaurant is also delicious, the interior of the hotel is nautical about the decoration of Captain Cook

I'm a Platinum Elite member and stay at Marriott almost exclusively when traveling work business or pleasure. This was one of the worst experiences ever (only one worse than this stay was one in Denver last year). The AC was broken in the rooms and it was 85 degrees in our room. We were not told this upon check-in and discovered it once we got to the room. When we went back downstairs to tell front desk staff to tell them the AC wasn't working in our room, the response was ”You and everyone else.” They told me we could have a fan for our room. I requested one be brought up while we went to dinner and was told ask when you get back. When we got back, I asked and they said they would look for one and bring it up. An hour later, I called downstairs and was told there weren't any left. After 3 hours with our windows open in the room, the temperature in our room only went down to 84. At 9pm, we drove to Walmart and bought our own fans just so we could sleep. I believe it was fixed sometime the next day or the day after. I honestly don't know as nothing was communicated. When we went to check out, I tried the AC in our room and it was working. The front desk staff was completely indifferent to any concerns we had. This hotel is in a very sketchy part of town and I honestly was surprised to see my rental car still in the parking lot each morning. The one positive I can say is that the place is clean as we saw so many people constantly cleaning throughout the day to keep it that way. For the amount of money charged to stay here (over $400 per night in late July) this was a terrible experience and I would never stay at this hotel again.

This is a clean hotel, 10 minute cab ride from downtown, Anchorage. They have a very nice breakfast. The pool was being renovated when I was there and while the lobby looks new, the rooms could use updating. The room has a kitchenette which is a nice feature. While I was there, we had the one room where the air conditioning was Not working. Being that the temperature at night was in the 50s, we left a window open and had a fan running. We managed but that really was annoying considering we paid over $400 a night. They would have changed our room but they were fully booked. Despite the inconvenience I would still recommend it.

This was my first and last time at this hotel. The checkin was easy, the room was clean, but around 9:30 pm I started to try to take a shower. The water would not run warm. We called the front desk who insisted we run it longer. This began a series of calls where the front desk would insist we just needed to run the water longer, and we kept it running. An hour later, at 10:30 pm, maintenance came, agreed our room had no hot water and we would be moved to a different room. We moved — and although the second room smelled like pee, we stayed there because we’re exhausted and we needed to be able to provide good care for a family member with health difficulties. The hour of missed sleep was one I really needed. The pee-room was not great. The breakfast is good. But for the money, I expected hot water with the room. And whatever was causing the smell in the second room is gross.
Company made an error in booking the hotel 1 day later, but this wasn't a problem friendly receptionist made the change and off I went to my room. Very spacious room, kitchen area, comfortable bed with choice of hard or soft pillows. Walk in shower. Next morning a very good breakfast spread a very large choice.

We liked how the room was clean and the pool smelled like chlorine and was clean unlike other hotels we stayed at. But the front desk clerk was very rude. I tried to check in a couple mins early and she only said I don’t see your name anywhere and pretty much only left me an option to leave and come back later. So instead of being friendly she was opposite and made me feel not wanted there. But we stayed anyway. And the breakfast really sucked! COVID made them feel like they can treat people however they want.

Anchorage is small and the hotel is very close to the airport. Next door is the Wal-Mart supermarket, a few steps to a variety of restaurants. The Pho in Vietnam behind Wal-Mart is good, and it is enough. If you want to eat beef powder, you can go. Then there is a SushI sushi thing very good.

We rented a 2-room suite for family travel as our landing spot each day after our adventures. The master bedroom does not have its own private bathroom. The 2nd bedroom with 2 Queen beds has its own bathroom. The HVAC system in our particular room only had 1 temperature sensor for the entire suite which was located in the 2nd bedroom. This was an issue with comfort at times. The walls and floors are extremely thin as we could hear other guest room conversations from adjacent rooms and rooms above ours as well as toilet usage and even curtains being opened in the morning. There was extremely loud shouting from the street as two homeless gents were fighting with each other for hours in the middle of the night - that was not a one-time occurrence. There is also significant noise due to road traffic from both Benson Blvd and Seward Highway - that didn't bother us too much but it may bother people that are not used to it. There was significant parking and the location is extremely close to Seward Highway which made our travels very convenient. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and the hotel was reasonably clean. The hotel had a very nice breakfast with standard buffet items like eggs, bacon, bagels, biscuits and gravy, cereals, and a pancake station. They also include made-to-order items like omelets. Overall our stay was very pleasant.

Embassy Suites has a large parking lot, evening reception, free breakfast and comfy beds. We stayed her before boarding the train to Denali and again when we returned. We stayed in two different rooms and the beds are comfortable. Both rooms were very clean, laundry facilities offer a large table to fold clothes and several machines so no waiting to use one. The pool looked very nice but we didn't have time to use it. The hotel has many restaurants within walking distance but homeless people are on many streets but there was no begging for money or interaction. Both the train station and airport are only about a 10 minute ride so the city is very easy to get around even during morning hours.

In the angchge encounter with the embarrassing thing, the first is that when you are in the chic in, you can't find the reservation and the paid room rate information. The front desk and the reservation department contacted the phone for more than 10 minutes before checking the reservation information, and the check-in procedure was completed. The room card, we went to open the door, found that the room given to the person did not check out, the front desk found the wrong room card, catch up to change another room card, continue to open the door, or the room did not check out, even change the room, Can not stay, until the fourth, can finally stay.

Located in the heart of Anchorage, the hotel is convenient for eating and shopping, and not far from the Chinese restaurants opened by Hong Kong people. The hotel room is not large, but the overall clean and comfortable, the service is also good.

I am a Diamond Member with Hilton Honors and try to stay at Hiltons for all my travels. I am surprised this hotel carries the Hilton name. It is NOT on brand. 1. I called the hotel 3 times. First two times I was on hold for over 7mins each time, finally the 3rd time they said, ”Can I place you on hold” I said ”No, I can not hold”. I talked to Patrick and I indicated from reviews that I would like to have an odd room number because of the train and I needed a refrigerator. He said he would make a note of it. When I arrived at 2:15am, no note, no nothing. Very dissappoined. 2. There was no refrigerator and I was put on a waitlist. Two days and nothing. 3. Room was dirty. Housekeeping left blue gloves and wipes on the floor. I was thankful that I carry my own Lysol wipes and cleaned entire room. (I had to change rooms and both were this way) 4. I had an ”even” number room so I heard the train all hours of day and night. Even though I had ear plugs, you still hear the train. 5. Outlet in bathroom did not work. Had to blow dry hair next to bed. 6. At 4:30am, I had to ask housekeeping or Hilton employees to please be quiet because people are trying to sleep. This hotel is awful. Needs attention. Also, no acknowledgment from front desk regarding my Diamond Status. A simple ”Thank you” goes a long way.

I stayed here in Feb 2023 with my family. The room was extremely hot and the thermostat did not work. It was a very uncomfortable stay and we were unable to sleep at night due to the heat. Also there is no fridge or microwave in the room however they will bring a fridge to you at no extra cost. Just found that to be weird that it is not standard to have in the room. The pool looks nice and modern however it has no stairs. You just have to jump down to 3.5 feet of water which is the shallow end. This is not very kid friendly! Be prepared and bring your kid's life vests.

Pros: Staff was pleasant and accommodating Property lobby and common areas were kept very clean Like Home 2 room layout with kitchen and bath properly located Cons: Room in need of complete update, sofa was disgusting, bathroom door was damaged, mattress in need of replacement. Am Hilton diamond member, , and like Home2 layouts, but am finding many Home2 properties are not aging well.
