I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Royale Chulan Cherating Villa, and I must say it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I arrived until the day I checked out, the staff and services at this resort exceeded my expectations! Without a doubt one of the best resorts in Malaysia and if you're ever in Cherating, THIS is the place to stay! First and foremost, the staff deserves a standing ovation. Their warm welcome and genuine hospitality made me feel like a VIP guest. Whether it was the front desk staff, the buggy drivers, the housekeeping team or even the F&B staff, everyone was attentive, friendly, and always ready to assist with a smile. They went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable, and for that, I am truly grateful. Kudos to Rizam for introducing us this hidden gem. The dining experience at the resort was exceptional as well. The Ocean restaurant offered a delectable array of dishes, catering to various tastes and preferences during my breakfast and dinner. I was particularly impressed with the chef's culinary skills and the waitstaff's impeccable service. Shoutout to Mahdi and Nizar in building a strong service team. Each meal was a delightful journey for the taste buds, and the dining experience added another layer of enjoyment to my stay. However, while the staff and services were outstanding, there is room for improvement when it comes to the resort's facilities. Although the property is well-maintained, some areas appear a bit outdated and could benefit from a renovation. I was told that they have very limited budget provided by the management and the improvement process is quite slow. They don't even have a gym or a large banquet hall which I understand is a requirement for a 5 star resort. The rooms, while clean and comfortable, could use a modern touch to match the high level of service provided by the staff. Additionally, the pool area, though enjoyable, would be even more appealing with updated loungers and a fresh coat of paint. These are my two cents which I hope the management would consider to do as soon as possible in order to maintain this amazing place and their regular guests. Despite these minor facilities-related issues, I wouldn't hesitate to return. The exemplary staff and top-notch service is more than enough to compensate for any facility shortcomings. In fact, I look forward to seeing how the resort evolves in the future, as I believe that with some upgrades, it has the potential to become an even more remarkable tourist attraction. I truly hope the management takes care of it's staff by giving rewards or incentives as I can see they worked really hard to maintain this resort's standards. In conclusion, my recent stay at The Royale Chulan Cherating Villa was a delightful experience, primarily due to the exceptional staff and services. While there's room for improvement in the facilities department, it doesn't overshadow the overall positive impression I have of t

There are 2 types of rooms i.e Villa & Chalet. We stays at Chalet which is more cheaper & different types of buildings. There are 2 terrace buildings with 2 storey & 3 storey . We took ground floor of the 2 storey. The room is just nice for us with living area (forgot to take the photo) and clean. Since our room is just next to the staircase, we can hear upstairs guest talking & kids playing & knocking the floor 😀 The ambiance of the chalet is good and clean. It’s about 150 meter to the beach. Clean fine sand beach! I was informed by one of the guest, the beach is the only beach in Peninsular of Malaysia that suitable for surfing! No rogue waves with sloping beach. No wonder there is a cottage for you to rent surfing board and there is a coach for those who want to learn surfing. Not much menu for breakfast but is acceptable since i assume it’s just a 3 star chalet. If you prefer to eat outside, there are eatery place nearby. Just a walking distance. We have dinner at a stall in front the chalet entrance. Will i come here again? Definitely!

Firstly, I have to say, The Kasturi is probably my favourite place in Pahang. I first came here in 2018 - and it made such an impression that I couldn't wait to come back. Came back as soon as PKP was lifted (review here somewhere) and a tad disappointed. Husband booked a night's stay for our 18th wedding anniversary and I have to admit the service has improved by leaps and bounds. Check in was warm and professional - villa is clean and hubby had made arrangements for flowers and some refreshments in the room which was so appreciated by yours truly. Had same villa as previous stay - toilet is still wonky. Hand bidet in indoor shower compartment is still non functional and the fish keropok was left untouched this time (learnt my lesson from last time - pls get new supplier - I am sure there are many more keropok makers who can make better keropok sira) This time however, husband ordered food to be sent to the room - FYI, room service is limited to the asian food selection (not advisable to preorder western dishes as these will end up cold by the time it gets sent to the room) Loved the caprese salad and the fried rice. The seafood fried in batter was above average. The white rice and chicken was too sweet for our liking. Breakfast was served 'unlimited ala carte style' The variety was ok - choice of nasi lemak, western and chinese congee. Nasi lemak - much much better than the last time I was there - but had an issue with the sambal sotong, which I informed the staff. Saw that they offered 'DANISH' as part of breakfast - but we only received toast and baguettes - so I'm not sure if I was confused about the danish being pastries? Barista also needs to learn to make proper latte art. However, the F&B staff - Deedi was extremely friendly and warm. He looked like he knew what he was doing despite being his 6th day at Kasturi - thought I would make a special mention about him. Would I come back for a fourth time? Some improvements have to be made about the upkeep of the facilities in the room and definitely better improvements with the F&B - but Kasturi's one life-saving feature is definitely its location....

Loved the property, so spacious, nice private pool, outdoor showers, great service from making reservations to arrival experience. Kasturi paid homage to keeping the nature intact; you feel like you are in the middle of a tropical forest...The restaurant had a new Manager from what we were told, his name is Didi; well mannered and very attentive and knows his work. Made reservation for dinner. The food however was really below par, the western dishes were if i may say the Chef was trying very had to be innovative but did not live up to the taste, the Asian dish too was a little too bland. I expected better dining experience from what we have received so far from the arrival and the Villa. However Breakfast was very good, despite the slow arrival of our coffee and Teh tarik, the Curry puffs in the bakery basket was a surprised and it tasted very good to top it up. We book for 2 nights and by the first night we were so delighted with Kasturi that we enquire if we can extend our stay for another night if the rate was right; however, another disappointment, we were quoted much much higher rate than what we paid for and was not even shown interest of our further business or discounted rates offered; so we decided to look for other options elsewhere which i think was a loss to Kasturi as we wanted to extend another 3 nights. Its ok, we decided to return on a later date.

My wife and I stayed here in October for an overnight staycation. For the high price paid, we expected much better. After all, the price is equivalent to a 5-star hotel in KL. The villas look quaint from the outside, but inside they are EXTREMELY dated - The decor is straight out of the early 80's, before my wife was even born ! The bathrooms are in a state of disrepair. You can't take a shower without the water backing up through the toilet and making loud glugging noises. The water took forever to drain from the sink, presumably clogged with decades of hair. Several lights in the room were not functioning and the safe box was totally broken. The only modern thing in our room - a large flat screen TV, is connected to an old-style Astro satellite box with only a few channels subscribed. Unfortunately the 'traditional' wooden sofa was as hard as a board, so uncomfortable to watch TV for long. The bed - set up as a mock four-poster - was fairly comfortable, mattress a bit too hard for my tastes; but we slept well, particularly with no outside noise. Luckily, the aircon was working very well . A kettle is provided, and there is a refrigerator in the room which (eventually) keeps drinks cold. Take note that only two small bottles of water are provided. Also provided are some sachets of no-name coffee, and tiny bottles of no-name shampoo/shower gel (it appears to be the same stuff inside each!); So make sure to bring your own. The small pool was adequate, dark, and actually resembled a fish/turtle pond rather than a plunge pool. The main pool of the hotel is a different story: It appears to have been recently modernised and is wonderful. Better still, we stayed mid-week so there were no noisy local families & kids. We had it pretty much to ourselves. Breakfast was nothing to write home about. A very limited selection compared with Holiday Villa Langkawi where we have stayed many times previously. Went for dinner in the restaurant, and our first choice for meals and drinks were 'finished already'. The satay was terrible, and the milkshakes were straight out of a bottle. I really hope that HV now spend some money to modernise these overpriced villa rooms, and improve their F&B offerings. Won't hurry back until they do.
We made a trip to Cherating, my frirnds and I. We stayed at the Garden Villas facing the beach. The check in was seamless and we were in the villa in no time. With a large picture window looking out to sea, the villa was well appointed, spacious and pleasantly designed to replicate a kampung house . It came with the cascading traditional stairs found in southern kampung houses. The staff were attentive and not obstrusive. That made our stay all thr more memorable. The poolside bar and the adjacent gym with seaview were my favourites. Service was prompt and coirteous. Went back again to stay on a work trip to Kemaman a week later.

Hotel Swiss Garden in Kuantan offers an outstanding experience, perfect for families and leisure travelers. The rooms are remarkably spacious, providing a comfortable and relaxing environment. Each room includes a balcony, allowing guests to enjoy the scenic views and fresh air. The hotel's prime location near the beach is a significant advantage, making it easy for families to bring their kids for a delightful day of playing in the sand. Furthermore, the check-in and check-out processes are exceptionally fast and efficient, ensuring a smooth and hassle-free stay. Overall, Hotel Swiss Garden Kuantan is highly recommended for its excellent amenities, family-friendly atmosphere, and convenient beach access.

A very good for families! Went there with my sisters lil family and we had the greatest time! The pool caters to children more than adults. They haves slides and water fountains and bigger than normal. After fun play with the pool we walk to beach. The beach is fairly clean and not too crowded. And, the best is we get to have small puddles when it is low tide. The hotel room is large and comfortable for up to 3 people in a room. Comfortable bed too. The toilet could have been a tad bit cleaner but nothing too concerning. Recommend for families!

I went to Clubmed in Aibion in Maoqiu many years ago, and I have always wanted to go to other places, but I never had the chance. This time, I drove to another place on my own during the holiday! Service: Clubmed What I have always remembered most is the service. The enthusiasm and smiles of the GOs are really deep in my heart, but I was still very disappointed this time, mainly two things: 1. At the beginning, the GO did greet us at the door, but because we drove ourselves, we found that the gas was not enough when we arrived at the resort and wanted to refuel. When we came back from refueling, the introduction was over. We were asked to sit and wait for a while and someone would take us to the room and introduce the resort facilities. Because we did the same thing when we were in Maoqiu before, we waited and waited until a GO came and told us that the room card was a bracelet. After helping us put it on, we asked us to scan a QR code and said that the facilities and activities were inside. The room is in building x, just go straight. As a result, we were not familiar with it and could only ask all the way (the security guards inside were very good and enthusiastic!! I have to praise them here), and then all the facilities and activities tonight became self-service. . . . 2. Because we checked out at 10 o'clock, we didn't want to go back to get our luggage, so we wanted to leave our luggage in the lobby before we had dinner. As a result, he kept asking us to pay MYR6 (this is understandable), and then he confirmed various details. We two mothers waited there for half an hour with empty stomachs (there were only two of us in the lobby at that time, and we told him that we didn't have breakfast and were very hungry). In fact, we just wanted to leave it for breakfast. Finally, we learned that we didn't need to take our luggage by ourselves, and they would help us move it. But because we went to refuel, no one took us to the room later, so we didn't know! This is really disappointing. But the GOs' activities at night are still good, especially the pool show and white dress dance on the first night. The children had a lot of fun! Facilities: The facilities are still very complete. Although they are a bit old, they are well maintained. Hygiene: To be honest, for a person with obsessive-compulsive disorder, I have no hope for the hygiene of hotels in Malaysia. This hotel can only be said to be okay. 1. There are actually stains on the sheets (I don't understand why the hotels here don't throw away such stained sheets)! People with obsessive-compulsive disorder bring their own travel sheets like me! 2. The room smells musty (no way, the humidity is high at the seaside) But the bugs are not bad. I was afraid of a few bugs when they brought water in on the first night, but they were gone the next day! Environment: It is really primitive. You can see monkeys, geckos and other animals on the road! Don't feed the monkeys casually, and don't hold food in your hands for fear that they will snatch things! This trip was generally okay except for the little unpleasantness during check-in and check-out. The children said they would come to Club Med again next time. See you in Bali next time😂
