My wife and I spent 7 amazing nights here! The resort has everything, you don’t even have to leave! You can catch a 45 minute cab ride to port denaru for some adventure experiences of course, but so much to do here. Isikeli and Jim - as well everyone else at the water sports area were awesome! The 5 hr cruise with snorkel and wave runner safaris were definitely worth it. Joey over at the fish bar is great and pours some good drinks. Missi and Adam with activities also some great people to run into for a soccer game on the beach. Marcus was the friendliest person to run into everywhere at the resort throughout the day. Simon at the front lobby will help square you away with whatever you need. We had a lagoon view bure which was a home away from not wanting to go back home. Walk right into the lagoon from the beach or sit on your balcony while reading a book. All in all could not recommend this resort more. Safest part of the trip is was having to leave.

First and foremost before I get into my review we had money stolen at this property. The only time our money was not in a safe was the night we checked in when we dropped our bags off at the room to go check out the fire show. During this time a bottle of champagne was delivered to our room. $400 dollars was stollen out of my wife’s wallet. I immediately searched it on trip advisor and found multiple other reviews of money stolen at this resort. We travel around 60 days a year and have never had this issue. We generally stay in Hyatt properties but decided to give Marriott a try as we have reached Globalist status with Hyatt and are looking for another program to earn hotel status with. Due to the other reviews where money was stolen and no action being taken we did not report it. We chose to enjoy our stay and not waste time over $400. The money is not the issue the issue is a thief coming into our room. My wife stated had she been alone or on a girls trip she would have immediately checked out as she wouldn’t have felt safe. On to the review The Good Staff is very friendly (Looking past the one bad apple who stole our money) Spa Staff was great. We really enjoyed are massages. Spa prices are good for a resort. We ate at all of the restaurants and overall the food was pretty good. Really for us the highlight of the resort was the spa and the friendly staff. The Bad Our 1st night we had dinner at the Fish House. The food was great but when I used the restroom there was a kitchen worker in there. He turned the water on dipped his hands in and walked out. I had already ate my food or else I would have left it. Throughout our stay I witnessed multiple staff not wash their hands. This is a pet peeve of mine and I always watch for it. I understand other countries are not as strict on hygiene but the hotel needs to educate their staff better. I have traveled to many countries and have never witnessed such bad hand washing behavior at a resort. Marriott please educate your staff. You would think with a guest at one of the many sinks washing their hands they would not walk right past them and out the door. Overall this is one of the many places we have decided to stay on our honeymoon and we still enjoyed our time here. We chose to not let stolen money ruin our stay. That being said I would not recommend this resort due to its history of stolen money. If not for the theft and lack of proper hand washing I would have rated this resort 3.5/5 The friendly staff and the spa are its strong points. Respectfully, Tony

After getting rained out on another island we saw sunshine on Nadi so we changed our flight & were so blessed to get same day accommodations here. The wow factor starts with the short boat ride over to the island where you are instantly greeted with the biggest smiles & friendliest staff. We loved it all- the live music, Fijian night, pool table, swim up bar, relaxing overlooking the ocean, & the best breakfast. This location is an easy 30 minutes to the airport or Denaru marina which we utilized for a day trip to island hop. This is a beautiful island dripping in colorful flowers & dreamy palm trees everywhere. My only negative comment is there is a severely malnourished mare here that was being ridden. Both of the mares that had foals were underweight but she was all bones & it was heartbreaking. Please stop letting people ride these horses until they get up to a safe body weight & if they’re being fed “properly” than have her teeth checked out. Even while nursing a foal there is no reason a horse should ever be in that condition.

Beautiful resort with beautiful staff. Special mention to Sam, Temo, Pate, Sera and Kesa just to name a few. Came to Fiji for our first time and it was nearly a disaster after our originally booked resort was very poor. Luckily the Double Tree had room for us and they made us feel special with the greeting of “Welcome Home”. It was my partners 50th on this stay and the staff made it special with beachfront dining in a cabana with an amazing meal. Food was excellent throughout Resort was immaculately clean Our Bure was spacious and comfortable and great shower. Smiling and courteous staff everywhere in every department. On site shopping Activities to keep everyone occupied Really can’t fault this great resort and I wish we had booked here from the start. Vinaka to all for making the holiday a great and memorable one. Alan and Emily

The breakfast was good, the pool and the view were also good. The only thing I was not satisfied with was when we went to have breakfast. The restaurant staff said that our breakfast was not included and we had to pay for it. When I booked the hotel, it was included with two breakfasts. I showed him that it was in Chinese, but he couldn't understand it. I don't know if it was a problem with the platform or the hotel system. After we argued, he said we should eat first. He helped us talk to the front desk. Fortunately, the duty manager at the front desk helped us. Overall, it was not bad. We caught a 9 o'clock early flight and could have breakfast at 6:20. It was a 10-minute drive from the airport. It cost 35 Fiji coins to call a taxi. It was best to find a place to pick us up.

The lobby and restaurant are very good, but the room facilities are relatively old, which does not meet the five-star positioning. Of course, the price is lower than other five-star hotels near Nadi. It is suitable for overnight rest when traveling to outer islands.

This is the best hotel with Fijian siging at breakfast, lunch, dinner, happy hour and post happy hour. I just loved the vibe. The staff are superb. The night manager, tall IndoFijian bloke, found my wallet Where I had dropped It with about 20,000RRMB in It and he returned It intact. Just trully love this hotel staff witn signature Fiji smiles and hospitality. I highly highly recommend it.

The room was clean, but there were small cockroaches in the bathroom, which was estimated to have come out of the sewer. The environment is okay. There are many mosquitoes and flying insects in the restaurant during the day, so you need to put on an mosquito repellent. Front desk attitude was good. Just lived in for a while, the yard was on fire, emergency room change, the front desk was very cooperative. The bed was very large and comfortable.

Location is perfect and the staff are amazing. Reception was super helpful and very friendly. We enjoyed our 4 day stay however, we were hit with a VAT tax of FJD$495 on top of our bill. That shocked us as we didn't realise this would be an additional charge. I'm trying to see where I can contact the Manager to query this, however I can't find any details on how to make contact.

We had a great stay at the Fiji Gateway hotel! The rooms were clean and in great condition and the showers had excellent water pressure and plenty of hot water - perfect for helping us relax as we continued our trip. As opposed to other hotel rooms in Fiji, the air conditioning worked great and the safe in the room was in good working condition - something that is always important for protecting your valuables and travel documents. This was a perfect place for us to stay when we had to fly out of Nadi airport for our flight to the island of Taveuni. On this night, we ate at the restaurant which had excellent, friendly staff and good food. But the thing we remember the most about this hotel were the 2 live musicians Igenasio and Joape who play in the bar and restaurant. During our meal, I kept pausing and saying to my wife, ”listen to this awesome music”! Just about every day for the rest of our trip I kept saying to my wife, ”did I say how awesome those musicians at the Fiji Gateway hotel were?” On our final night in Fiji, just before we went to Nadi airport, we went back to the Fiji Gateway hotel to see if Igenasio and Joape were playing in the restaurant and bar area. Guess what? They were! I was beyond excited to see them and told them that we came back to the hotel just to find them. They did not disappoint and played 2 songs that we requested as well as songs requested by others. They are a great duo and they complement each other with their lead singing and harmony. We'll always remember this final night in Fiji at the Gateway Hotel!

We stayed at the Fiji Gateway three different times during our Fiji holiday. We picked the location near the airport, but were pleasantly surprised at the quality of our stay. Everyone on the staff was helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. Helped with rapid checkin and checkout. Front desk also arranged taxis for us and advised on our local sightseeing. The free shuttle was always available with little wait, both at airport and hotel. Staff was willing to store our bags so we could tour around Fiji. Food at the restaurant was very good. Live music at dinner. Large pool was clean and helped us cool off after a day of sightseeing or travel. Definitely recommend for transiting through Nadi International or visiting Viti Levu. Venaka!

We are an elderly couple. After arriving in Fiji, we found out how right we were to choose Leisure City Apartment. The property is well-equipped, clean and tidy, and has a very good location. You can find a large supermarket, bakery, bank, Burger King, at least two Chinese restaurants, and a Chinese supermarket in a 10-minute walk. Life is very convenient. The landlord is from Beijing and has lived in Fiji for more than ten years. He knows the local area very well. Because Fiji has more than 300 islands, and 20 to 30 of them have been developed, the landlord became our consultant and recommended two tourist islands with great tourism value. The tropical islands made us very happy. Usually we don't like to eat out, we like to cook by ourselves; so our homestay has obvious advantages. The kitchen here is very large, with a large refrigerator, a four-burner gas stove, an electric rice cooker, and a complete set of pots and pans. The next day we went to the supermarket to buy a local chicken, and cooked a large pot of chicken soup with carrots and potatoes, which was very delicious. The landlord is very enthusiastic. He drives to the farmer's market a few kilometers away every day to purchase agricultural and sideline products. Every time he asks us if we want to go and see? We drove with him twice and bought beef, eggs, local vegetables and fruits. The landlord has two cars to provide convenience to guests. In addition to the appropriate fees we asked him to pick us up at the airport, he took us to the pier twice and took us to the farmer's market twice, all for free. That night, the landlord also gave us fried breadfruit, a local specialty made by his wife, which was very crispy and delicious. The islands in Fiji are very beautiful, and the local indigenous people of Fiji are very warm and friendly to tourists, but Fiji is indeed still a developing country. The overall impression of Fiji left on us is very good; of course, this good feeling comes in large part from our landlord. So I would like to take this opportunity to write a message to thank our landlord again!

We chose the City Apartment this time, and we are very grateful to the boss and his wife. They made our trip very pleasant. First of all, the room was cleaned. The room is spacious, bright and comfortable. (2 bedrooms, can accommodate 4 people) The kitchen and dining tableware are complete. Clean and refreshing. The location is very convenient, there are two supermarkets and various restaurants next to it, which is very convenient for shopping and eating. It takes only ten minutes to take a taxi to the airport terminal. The boss and his wife will drive us to the Nadi market when they are free, because the boss and his wife are Chinese. So it is convenient to communicate. And the tourist attractions recommended to us, the heart-shaped island and shark snorkeling are particularly good. We took an 80-year-old lady there. She had a lot of fun. She was not the only one who had fun. Our whole family was very happy. Thank you again to the boss and his wife. Thank you. I will choose your home next time. If any friends go to Fiji for a trip, we will recommend your home. Thank you again🙏

The apartment hotel has no breakfast, the rooms are clean, the location is excellent, and the airport is relatively close. You can find a place to eat on foot. Cost-effective. There is parking outside. Much better than an adjacent four star hotel.

Its business suites - includes kitchen and laundry in room. Always great to have these services. Beach isnt much, think walk along rather than swim. This is one of 3-4 hotels in a row beachfront. Guests primarily those passing thru to islands, backpackers and groups. The hotels’ beachfront bars were quiet during week in May but came alive for weekend. Restaurant on top floor had great views. Service very slow in restaurants of all these hotels. Staff very helpful and friendly.
