My friend and I organised a trip to Bali and we stayed at Ubud for two nights.
This place is unique, secluded and exquisite. It's unlike any other resort with a massive sign to point at the direction. From the moment our driver entered resort driveway, we felt the great sense of privacy and seclusion. The whole place is like a village with the lobby, the restaurant and the gaming room as the centre and rest of the tents (aka your hotel rooms) scattered all over the property, with unique themes. We stayed at the Archiver's room. It's stunning and one-of-a-kind. The tent came with a private pool facing the jungle, and the outdoor shower is fantastic. I loved the bathroom design and all the facilities. Bed was so comfortable, and staff members were kind and helpful, and they remembered our names.
The complimentary afternoon tea and cocktails were so great. The cocktails are above and beyond my expectations. If you are looking for gifts to bring back to your family and friends, I strongly recommend the coffee soap bar. My friend and I loved how it exfoliates and in the meantime not leaving dryness on the skin.
The Indonesian food served at the restaurant is a must-try. I highly recommend the pork ribs and nasi goreng.
What makes Capella so unique is that it provide you with the chance to immerse into the local community to engage and discover local heritage and culture, and meeting some fascinating people along the way. Overall, this place is one of a kind. During our stay, I heard other guests compared Capella at Ubud with Four Seasons in Chiang-Mai. I have stayed at both places, and the two have completely different vibes and ambience. Four seasons rooms are actually brick and wood constructions but the Capella rooms are actually ” tents”, with wood frames and a canopy as the roof. So we fell asleep both nights while listening to the raindrops on the canopy. It's so soothing and relaxing. Capella has offered the opportunity to enjoy a luxurious service and experience while embracing the wildness.
Additional:
Shout out to Dedy and staff members who offered such above and beyond services. After we left Capella instantly we regreted of not purchasing the coffee soap bars as souvenirs. When I called the Lobby, Dedy arranged to have them delivered all the way from Ubud to Jimbaran to our resort. It's not only my escape experience but also the fantastic people from Capella that left such a deep impression on me. It's definitely a 10/10 experience. I highly recommend to stay.

Capella Bali is like a movie to our family. We were immersed in it for three days and two nights. The designer of Capella is a magician who made it impossible for us to distinguish between reality and dreams. The sense of immersion became stronger as time went by...
During our stay, the hotel took us on a room tour. Capella Bali has only 23 tents with their own characteristics. The hotel service staff is more than the hotel guests. If you are a couple or a family of three, the river view tent is just right. There will be small animals on the tent and outside the house late at night and early in the morning, and they will keep signaling. You can hear it clearly in the tent. The private swimming pool is small and exquisite, but the water temperature is cool. The keliki tent is the same size, and the private swimming pool is upgraded and filled with warm water. The Lodge is the best choice for a three-generation vacation. It has two bedrooms and three beds and has sufficient public space and a heated private swimming pool. The tent and the cabin are full of design details and powerful color matching.
The small and beautiful hotel is matched with the Capella brand. It is very immersed in the hotel's dining environment. The beautiful scenery is combined with the soothing and comfortable time, which is relaxing and nourishing. At this moment, time stops and any music is a disturbance. After the hotel helped arrange for the babysitting, the hotel's Omakase is a must-try part. The environment and service are both first-class. After being tipsy, at this moment, I am Dr. Jones, in the colonial period.
Finally, if you have any questions during your stay, find the hotel's duty manager Mr. Dedy. His communication, experience, efficiency, and decisiveness in handling problems are impressive and full of security.
