Booked for xmas day 2024. Was really disappointed. Service not good. Had to ask to clear table. Meal just average not a lot of choice for kids at £45 ahead. And £85 for adults. Didn't enjoy none of us did. So disappointed wouldn't book again. I did email the hotel but no response

In my opinion this is the best all round hotel on the Antrim Coast. I travel every week , with work and this includes weekly hotel experiences. I found the Hedges to be warm welcoming , friendly , very clean , well maintained and fantastic value. I did not eat at night but the pre-ordered breakfast was superb. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone and after reading some of the 1* reviews , I am not surprised they were not about the hotel itself and had not stayed there , more about the Open rates and using out of order toilets . Not sure why there is a surprise, this is a business and needs to pay staff and suppliers etc etc etc. I stayed in a hotel for the Northwest 200 , in Portstewart , room only x 1 night @ £450.00 . Simple supply and demand folks and nothing to get one's knick's, in a twist or leaving unfair reviews.

I booked this hotel for the open 2025 and got email below from Hedges hotel. We are writing to inform you that unfortunately we have no other option but to cancel your reservation due to an oversee on the price for those particular dates. As I’m sure you’re fully aware that the Irish Open will be taking place in Portrush (14.7miles) away from our hotel which we have had to increase our prices for. This cannot be allowed surely will.

I booked this hotel 06 Aug 2024 to attend the Open At Portrush in July 2025 Today, the hotel cancelled my booking as they “cannot accommodate “ me at the rate I had booked. So they are cancelling my booking to scalp me and others for fours times the amount . Shameful behaviour
