2024 Reviews: Watkins Glen Harbor Hotel Reviews from Real Guests.

We went there for the Wine Festival. The concierge desk had no information about the event! Said no taxis but offered no additional information for transportation. No instructions about how to get in and out of Watkins Glen. We ate dinner at the restaurant, thinnest piece of Salmon for $40.00! No water in the room. The hot water took a long time and faucet was difficult to adjust.

We visited as 2 families and stayed in the Harbor West home, part of the resort. It had an Airbnb feel to it, with 3 bedrooms + 2 full baths + 2 living rooms, and a large eat-in kitchen. The home was spacious, clean and comfortable. We had privilege to all the hotel amenities. The location of the hotel is superb! Walking distance to a Liquor store, cocktail bar, brewery/winery, plenty of yummy high rated restaurants, shopping, and the Watkins Glen state park nearby too! It was perfect and we would stay here again!!

We called the hotel to book the Commodore Room for Aug 30-31. I should have written down the man's name I spoke with. It was to have a King Bed, Balcony Lake View, Separate LR area, and a Jacuzzi Tub. When we got there, it had 2 queen size beds, a shower, no room separation, and a balcony with a huge tree in the view of the lake. We paid $630.87 with taxes for 1 night. They sent the confirmation to my husband who did not confirm it. It stated Deluxe Lake View w/Balcony Room. The hotel is very nice. The restaurant is very nice. Just be careful when you book a room that you double check your reservation because we did not get what we paid for.

It was overall a nice hotel, however, I am unsure why it is so expensive. There is noting included. There is a restaurant and bar on site however it is three times more than a restaurant it town, which everything is within walking distance. The only thing that was really included was a turn down service at night and they provided chocolates. I guess this was the extra two hundred dollars. I have been to Marriott and Sandals. This was nothing like a Sandals and it was comparable to a Marriott. The price per night should not be in the four hundred range it should be in the two hundred range like a Marriott. Hot tub and pool were not available for our schedule. We would have gone in the evening but it closed earlier than our schedule allowed. The toilet didn't flush right all the time and the pillows were way to thin. It was very clean and had beautiful views but it was way over priced.

A wonderful hotel experience. The staff (all) greets you with a smile and genuine “how are you”. Great bar and outside area for socializing. Rooms are very spacious and graciously appointed. Dinner at the grill was great. Don’t miss this hotel if you are in the finger lakes area. Walk to a quaint downtown and wineries on both East and west side of lake Seneca.
