For solo divers, couples, friends or groups, Oonas makes you feel so welcome and part of the family. The hotel is basic but has everything you need, the restaurant does a varied and filling breakfast, and the bar for beer o'clock is always a highlight of the day. Obi Wan is a great dive boat with a brilliant crew and excellent food, and the team at Oonas makes the day on the water fun and informative. When we go back to Sharm it will definitely be to Oonas

Trip officer has tried all possible ways to contact the hotel (emails and calls), but this hotel is so difficult to contact. Almost impossible.
When my boss was on the spot in the reception, the hotel reception said the modify is accepted and we only have to pay for 2 nights. But I was charged for 3 nights anyway.

There is a large quiet pool with a bar and another pool with music and parties, with slides, with a lazy river and another bar, so you can choose what you like. The beach is rocky with picturesque views and colorful fish right on the shore. The food is good and varied at the main restaurant. There are also a la carte restaurants, beach bar, 2 pool bars, fruit and snack bar. Many thanks to manager Mr. Moataz who works very hard from morning until late at night to offer the best solutions to the hotel's tourists. He helped us a lot and is a professional and kind person. The room was always clean, the bed linen and towels changed daily and the mini bar filled daily with bottled drinks.

|8.2km from city centerI am still living here. The hotel environment is very good. It is next to SOHO Square and has several swimming pools. It is all-inclusive and very worry-free. Food and drinks are available at any time. The meals are very hygienic. There are seafood meals every few days. All the employees are very polite. There is a minibus to the beach, which arrives in a few minutes, or you can walk there. The hotel has its own beach and beach bar. You can get towels with a card and snorkel from the platform. The scenery is beautiful. I think the price-performance ratio is extremely high! If there is a shortcoming, the room the front desk guy gave us at the beginning was behind the children's area. We asked for a big bed room and gave us a family room with two small beds. The facilities were very old and the balcony door could not be closed. I suspect it was because of the price increase during the peak season, but Ctrip's price is still okay compared to other platforms. The front desk did it on purpose, or it may be due to other reasons, which cannot be distinguished. Anyway, I asked to change the room and I was changed. The facilities in the new building are obviously much better.

The breakfast and dinner variety are wide and the hotel vary some dishes on a daily basis. Food is okay. We had lunch at their seafood restaurant (a la carte) but we felt the food was not as good as those served in the common banquet hall for dinner. The massage was very good and price reasonable. The spa is not worth it as the facials we had were not the kind of facials we are used to. They were very basic and our faces were steamed for a good 15 mins! So hot and uncomfortable. Products used were claimed to be organic but we are not convinced what were used.

The rooms are spacious and cleaned every day by the great housekeeping team, the food in the restaurant is always very nice, Jaz Fayrouz has a beautiful sandy beach. Whilst at Fayrouz you must checkout the Pirates Bar great food in there and Mohamed behind the bar will look after you. We will hopefully be returning Jan/Feb, I can honestly say you wont be disappointed with this excellent hotel.

The variety of food was low and the taste was mediocre. As for cleaning, the dinner plates in front of our next room were not taken away for 2 days. The leftovers dried out in that heat. Therefore, the cleaning staff did not even visit the area where we stayed for 2 days. Our room was located in the central area right next to the pool.
It's not a hotel I would choose again.

Asked for my usual room to be blcked off for me as I gave 9 months notice to coming.... Tatiana in Reservations is a superstar and so so helpful.... at the end of one of my dive days she even came down to the diver reception area to say Hi and introduce herself, which was a very nice touch... so thank you to her for that. It was nice to get back into the water here and great to see old friends like Sambouka and Hana on the boats, who looked after every one in a superb and safe fashion as always. I stayed an extra few days to just chill out by the pool after my 5 days diving, and was glad I did... it was a very relaxed time and nice and quiet... The teams in Pomodoro looked after me well for breakfast with a big thanks to Mamoud in particular. I ate most of the time in the evening on the roof bar and the team there again were excellent... and Sadek did an exceptional job of looking after my cocktail demands... Camel is the only place I will stay and dive from in Sharm... it is my Na'ama bay home... I have stayed over the years since 1986... So a huge thanks again to all the team and I will see you all again next year...

The area is clean, green, there are no mosquitoes or any kind of living creatures. The beach is sandy, like new in the morning, apparently everything is put in order early in the morning. The sea is shallow, which is convenient for children. There is no reef as such, we went for snorkeling to the private beach for 3 dollars per person, a 10-minute walk towards the Baron Hotel, the beach is located behind it. There’s a reef there, it’s just super, and you can go diving for 30 dollars 15 minutes.
The food is good, varied, the chefs are great. Crabs, seafood, tuna, mango, lamb, everything was very tasty. I especially liked the pastry chef - fruit baskets with mangoes are just heavenly pleasure 😌
I didn’t like the local alcohol and all kinds of sprites (they taste like bleach), and there were no cocktails made from them. And the glasses are reusable plastic, shaped like glass. Only in the lobby bar are there glass glasses and cups. Reusable plastic after so many people is somehow not very good, apparently because of this and chlorine drinks, the eldest son got an upset stomach. Paid minibar in the room, which was surprising.
Check-out was late, the room was vacated by 12:00 and we used all the hotel services until late in the evening. It was not possible to extend the room because the hotel was at a standstill and the rooms were fully occupied.
The only downside of the hotel is the plastic reusable cups for drinks!

There are so many different activities you can do for example volleyball or you can go to the gym. There is a very nice spa area with massages. |5.78km from city centerFirst of all let me say i'm a Huge fan of the Rotana brand in General and whenever i'm in a place if i find a rotana hotel i do like to stay with them This was my second visit to the Grand Rotana The hotel is very well kept and the level of service is still amazing except in the Main Restaurant The pros of the hotel - Excellent facilities including pool, HUGE beach with lots of sitting areas, spa & lobby - Staff including beach bar, restaurants & reception are all excellent & extremely helpful - Cleaning is top notch - Rooms are spacious and in very good condition ( especially the premium ones ) - Landscape is very very good with lots of green areas & palm trees - Night shows are very nice & interesting ( at the theatre ) Cons Unfortunately the food in the Main Buffet restaurant is still the main problem in this hotel, The Food is below average, and from other people's reviews you know that this has been an ongoing issue for the past 2-3 years, while the buffet is plentiful it is not of high quality, it's not about having 3-4 meat or chicken items & 2 fish items, this is not the point, the point is that the items all taste more or less the same, there is no point in having for example chicken breasts and then having turkey, the F&B manager can call this variety but in reality it's not, items are very similar in taste, another example which they should take into consideration, the pasta is very basic, the white or Red sauce is very light and watery and not of a good thick quality, also the veal/beef items everyday were the same look and taste with most of the time in some brown sauce, you already used a lot of meat so why not make it tasty & with real care ??! Lastly the desserts need some major attention, there is no point in having 7-8 different cakes but all with poor quality, make 1-2 with very high quality, 1-2 tarts with very high quality & maybe a nice umm ali or creme brûlée or something and people will appreciate it more, it should always be quality over quantity, one day make a molten chocolate cake ( people always like stuff like that ) and keep ice cream next to it, there's a lot of ideas instead of just having 12 cakes of low quality like it's a child's birthday, also fruits need to be more varied not just apples & oranges, ohh and please try eating the basbousa or konafa for yourselves before putting it out on the buffet, it's that bad ( not fresh & soft/soggy ) Please understand that there are lots and lots of Hotels in Sharm but only a very few that stands out to people, You should be one of them, you have to make QUALITY your number 1 priority ! Especially the food was great. A different concept every day, with a variety to suit every palate, leaving its taste on our palate.
As for the employees, they were all incredibly friendly and helpful. Although the interior decoration of the hotel was old, it was really sparkling. He has an incredibly hardworking team. On the first day, one of the cabinet doors fell off, we closed the door and forgot to mention it. It was repaired when we came from breakfast the next day.
The disadvantage for families with children is that there is no beach if you like the sea. You enter from the pier and since we went in October it was a bit choppy. They have free shuttles to the city center every evening. On the way back, it provides the opportunity to return every hour up to 12 hours. It is a good option since taxis are extremely expensive. It is an incredibly peaceful and quiet hotel. A perfect price performance hotel.

|5.04km from city centerMy friend Lorna & I were lucky to grab a week's break here from 5th October. We had the most wonderful time. All the staff make you feel so welcome and work incredibly hard. There are too many to mention but I would just like to especially thank Habib, the reception manger for making us feel part of the St George family and our special barman Mohamed Ali who kept us hydrated around the quiet pool. Our room was spacious and cleaned to a high standard and it was lovely to have fresh clean fluffy towels every day. We had plenty of water left for us and even our PJ's were folded up neatly on the bed along with the occasional towel art. The food was great & varied and always hot and we had some great banter with Magdy and the rest of the staff who made our meal times extra special. We arrived late evening but were told to head to the restaurant in 30 mins after settling into our room where Samir fed and watered us which was just what we needed after travelling all day. I just want to praise the shop keepers too were so friendly, non pushy but were helpful when I needed a new sim for the mifi box. We used the free shuttle bus to Sandy beach and that worked well. The beach was lovely with again great staff and plenty of shade. We used the hotel taxi one evening to go into Naama bay and that was a great service and so cheap at 9$ return for 4 of us. The driver was brilliant and very friendly. We preferred the quiet pool as just wanted to chill but we met so many lovely people around the pool and it was lovely to have a natter whilst cooling off with our new friends. Magic & his colleague were always on hand to help with sunbeds and parasols. I am so lucky to be going back in January with hubby and I can't wait. We have been a few times before and it's always special coming back here.

The hotel is located within soho square, a safe neighborhood that is foreign to the typical incursions of Egyptian sellers found in the rest of the country.
We were able to compare ourselves, during the various trips, with other tourists on the quality of the hotel, the size and type of the beaches, THE RESTAURANTS (sore point in Egypt) and I must say that the Savoy hotel came out victorious.
The comparison with the other resorts was then also compared by us on the occasion of transfers and dinners.
The resort is equipped with every comfort: 3 swimming pools, 3 restaurants (Rosmarino really has an excellent value for money, super recommended), a wide and sandy beach with a reef rich in typical coral reef species. Inside the hotel you will find several operators who will offer you trips and excursions (we opted for GetYourGuide apart from the parasailing we did with them).
The maid service was excellent all week.
