Had a fantastic one-night stay at the Matterhorn Inn while driving from Phoenix to Salt Lake City. The hotel is a perfect example of a refurbished roadside motel done to absolute perfection - supremely clean + comfortable updated rooms with nice lighting, plush bed, sparkling clean room + bathroom, excellent shower. Excellent bang for your buck in the overpriced hotel scene in and around town. 100% recommend for your stay in Sedona.

I was underwhelmed, and frankly would not recommend staying here. The mountain view was over a busy road and row of buildings, with cars, exhaust, and noise a plenty. Nearby restaurants were surprisingly weak, and the shops were filled mostly with junky tourist stuff. But what really messed me up was the way the heater turned on and off throughout the night. It was either too hot or too cold and I woke up constantly. We ended up leaving a day early, loosing the money for that night as I just couldn't take it. Our room was clean, but old and tired, and it was smaller than I expected. If there was a way to get ice, we did not find it, and of course since this motel is not staffed there was no one to ask. We ended up buying ice from the grocery store a few blocks down the street. There was a fridge in the room, and I believe a microwave as well, thought we didn't use it. The personless check-in worked fine. I got a text with the door code which worked fine the first try. No worries on that front. Bottom line: Skip this place and pay up for one of the nicer places with a pleasant view. Or just skip Sedona and try one of the other mountain towns. Could I redo our trip, I would have skipped Sedona and spend time in Prescott, which had way more going on and a really fun vibe.

The Best Western Plus Arroyo Roble Hotel in Uptown Sedona, Arizona was a great experience for our family. The rooms were clean and had a beautiful view of the Sedona Red Rock cliffs. Right below our balcony was the nicely landscaped outdoor pool. The pool saltwater filtration made swimming less irritating than the typical high chlorine pools. This is a heated pool, so it was nice to swim. They also offer guests the use of the private Clubhouse on the property, which has an indoor/outdoor pool and hot tubs. Additionally, the Clubhouse has a game room, ping pong, pool tables, racquetball court, sauna, steam room, workout room, and showers. The kids and adults loved it. One other great thing for families was the fantastic free breakfast available every morning. They had oatmeal with all the fixings, scrambled eggs, quiche, sausage, ham, hashbrowns, waffles, cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit, pastries, and beverages. We saved a fortune and a lot of time not having to go to a restaurant. The quality and attention to detail were excellent. All of the staff at the Hotel were friendly and helpful. This hotel's central location makes it a great location for exploring the gorgeous Sedona Red Rock area, shopping, and restaurants. We'll be back!

OK, I signed up for a weekend with the timeshare presentation. You would think they would try to give us a nice room, etc. Seriously? Right next to the overflowing dumpster. Parking is realllly limited at all times. And they are continuing to build. We were in one of the renovated studio units. It felt really confining. Yes, it had a patio -- but it looked at the parked cars. The toilet seat was broken, the coffee maker didn't work, the vertical blinds do not keep out the light, the AC cycles on for while with freezing, blasting air, and then it cycles off and it gets truly hot. On top of that, the entire complex feels really congested. Our room felt like an inside cabin on a ship. They offered us another week for $1,000 so we could consider it further. No. Just no.

I have stayed at The Orchards Inn twice now, my parents on many occasions and it is just the most wonderful hotel. The rooms are so beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and the beds are the comfiest I have ever slept in. The real highlight is the incredible views from the balcony of the red rock and landscape, just stunning early morning or evening and the stars are incredible. It is quiet and the most amazing location right in the heart of Sedona. I can't recommend this hotel enough from every perspective. The guy who works on the front desk from NZ is so helpful and couldn't do enough for us. Currently they are awaiting renovation to reinstall the pool, which is the only missing feature. You can use the facilities at The Auberge which is down by the river (bear in mind it has a Vegas vibe of loud music blaring out all day), but that hotel has nothing on Orchards Inn and has a very swanky vibe whereas Orchards Inn doesn't need all those fancy frills adding on, it is wonderful in its own charm and authenticity. It is quietly exquisite in every way and I really hope it doesn't go too upmarket like The Auberge and maintains its wonderful identity just as it is. It is a magical place for me and my family and we cannot wait to return again soon! Always feels like coming home.

We are not staying at Amara, but came for dinner at Saltrock on October 20th. Our server for dinner Lydia was delightful and took excellent care of us. We overheard her saying that she had been there all day yet she was very attentive and courteous. Amy, the hostess, handled a busy crowd with grace. The parking attendants ( didn’t get their names) were very polite and efficient.

This does not look special upon arrival but, the staff was friendly and attentive. Check-in went off seamlessly. Our room was comfortable and well appointed. Having stayed at many places, this is on my list of most memorable. Best way I can describe is that it feels like the comfort and relaxed vibe of a bed and breakfast but with the privacy and quiet elegance of an upscale hotel . The bed was so comfortable, the shower better than at home ! I loved being able to grab a coffee or snack at anytime- I feel this was very considerate and generous on the part of the owners . The staff/ owners were so helpful and gave us the best tips . When we finished our hikes and outings, it felt like coming home ! My only wish is that we had more time to just relax and bum around in the hotel for a day so I could admire all the beautiful artwork ! Just beautiful and loved seeing the dogs . Loved all of Sedona but staying here really made our trip special.

Sedona is a wonderful place to visit. It is a tourist town and traffic reflects that. Spent almost a week there. The hiking and biking are great. Los Abrigados is a nice hotel resort. Very close to shopping and dining (all walking distance). The resort sits behind Tlaquepaque Arts & Shopping Village. Room was nice. Quiet. Pool was nice. Did have a few little bugs running around the room but nothing major. Didn't really use any of the services at the resort because I was out on the trails everyday so that's why I give it 3/5. The staff I did encounter were friendly. I just hate spending an extra $26.50 per day for ”resort fee.”

We checked out on 9/16 after a 5 night stay. The gentleman wearing black shirt unfortunately was not the embodiment of warm hospitality, especially in a place like Sedona. Presumably he did everything by the book, which was fine, but certainly did not improve the reputation for this property. We booked this place for 2 reasons, proximity to the conference place which we flew in for, and it’s part of Marriott which we are of Titanium elite status. If you are looking to stay here because of your status, and are expecting some sort of status related perks, forget it. We didn’t really get any perk, no breakfast, no room upgrade (hotel’s not busy), we did get a room facing the mountains so not sure if that’s what they called “an upgrade”. No guaranteed 4pm late check out, and we only got some daily 10 dollar vouchers per person per room, not good for anything anywhere except for the bar onsite, and they close for lunch. No daily housekeeping either, only once every other day. The hotel lobby decor is quite pleasant, match the Sedona vibe, a nice outdoor area with a decent pool. Small gym, but better than not having one, and they also have a coin laundry. The room itself is fine, overlooking the mountains, has a small fridge and a microwave. Other amenities that a higher end hotel would offer is not available in this property. Overall an alright hotel, but I would suggest looking around more for other options.

Magical location. Super clean and updated rooms. Phenomenal staff that are accommodating, professional and hospitable. Breathtaking vistas. Our room was awesome but our water wasn’t getting hot. There was an issue with the hot water heater. The manager, Megan, took care of us and we were compensated.. she also gave us a bottle of wine. There’s an outdoor patio that has happy hour from 4pm-6pm. 50% off beer and wine. Very lovely experience. You can walk to the Mesa Grille ( very close) for wonderful meals, breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Hotel doesn’t have food service. The front desk is open 24/7 with staff to help you. They provide complimentary fresh brewed coffee/tea, purified crystallized water and snacks from 4:30 am on. There is a free shuttle from 2pm-10pm that will bring you anywhere within a 5 mile radius. The driver Larry is awesome!!I highly recommend this slice of heaven.!

This is a very nice 3+ star resort and we had an excellent experience. I read some negative reviews so I was a bit worried. Our king suites was as pictured on the website. Bed was very comfortable with nice linens. Big jetted bathtub was a pleasant surprise Really enjoyed breakfast at the restaurant. The pool was nice as well although the lounge chairs could be upgraded. When our plans changed unexpectedly hotel staff was helpful and allowed us a late checkout Location is good as well. Close to the downtown Sedona shops and restaurants but far enough away the enjoy the night sky.

This is a beautiful resort located in the middle of the canyon. It's a little bit far from the town, however, you get really connected with nature. I had a room facing the canyon, it's beautiful like you are living solo with nature. The sunlight is great, the rooms are clean and cozy. It does need some maintenance as it gets old over time, however, they are very comfortable to stay in. The best thing I love is the energy in the house and around. We had our Granddaughter and mom in for an Arizona visit so Grand Canyon and Sedona were at the tope of the list. In looking at places to stay this looked like a Southwest style they would enjoy. The pictures are current and the place is as advertised. Very clean, comfortable and spacious rooms. Good location close to town dining and shops. Pool and spa nice for this class of hotel. Breakfast is included but not much to chose from. If your need coffee and a bagel its ok but not much else. Second floor rooms have a balcony with table and chairs your can sit out and relax on also. Even though it was only one night we were very happy with this hotel for what we expected. Will go back again. Hint: Rooms on second floor have a better view, but there are about 10 steps up from the walkway so if that gives you issues climbing (with your bags as well) you may want to stay on first floor. You can see the steps in the photos.

First, the positive: 1. The staff was courteous, professional, and helpful. 2. The outdoor area was well above par. The pool was clean with in-pool loungers (4). Safety equipment and signage posted. Multiple cabanas (6?) were available. Large fire pit with plentiful seating. The pool is 5 feet deep at the center. This is not a pool made for swimming laps, but for lounging. 3. Rooms have an outdoor balcony with a table and 2 chairs. 4. Windows have both a blackout screen and a privacy screen. The window is able to be opened for fresh air and is screened. 5. HVAC was in good order and worked perfectly. 6. In room refrigerator was clean and worked well. Microwave, TV, and phone in room. 7. Breakfast area was spacious and breakfast offered multiple options though I did not avail myself of this amenity. Now, the negative: 1. The room itself was much smaller (king bed ) than expected. Room was cramped and looked nothing like the pictures on the website. 2. The bathrooms were recently remodeled, but the aesthetics are problematic. Why would anyone put wood laminate flooring in a bathroom with a walk in shower that has approximately a 2” inch lip and shower curtain in lieu of doors? You take a shower and the floor gets wet...no bueno. 3. There is a $10 per night service fee charged on registration. The fee is for wifi and other services. I don't recall seeing this posted when I reserved the room, but perhaps I overlooked it. I didn't object paying it, but the fee should be transparent. 4. Housekeeping is performed every 3 days and if you need more towels, etc., simply contact the front desk and they will have what you need brought up. Other: I booked the room for 2 nights but opted not to stay the 2nd night.

Two families stayed in this beautiful and exquisite villa, Sedona is indeed worth the people who like hiking and natural scenery. The location of the hotel is not only very close to devil bridge, it is convenient to go anywhere. The room is large, there is a fireplace, there is a large sofa bed. In the kitchen space, the utensils are all available, everything is available, and the shops around the seasoning can be bought. Very cost-effective.

Positive was location and free to use products in the bathroom. Had mini fridge and microwave, which as nice as well snacks to purchase. Breakfast (eggs and bacon) did not taste good so didn’t end of eating it. Room and carpet are outdated, didn’t feel clean and bathroom floor still had a tag and what looked like a dead bug, telling me that it wasn’t swept or cleaned. Being charged for a “parking fee” for a small town, with a parking lot with no lines and no security! Pool needed skimming, debris and leaves in it. Also, added hotel tax, why? Staff were okay but nothing to praise, sorry. The price was way too expensive for what is offered.
