Everything about the hotel is great, however the service is what saves its flaws. The hotel can improve with updated tech for the phone charger, energy output of refrigerator, and charging capability of USB ports (amenities/facilities). The reception is aware of this, and helped accommodate need. The staff has strong bilingual skills for those more novice with translation devices. Much appreciated. I would say the check-in/check-out staff as well as concierge and restaurant staff carry the needs more so than other hotels. However, the hotel need not have prices so high compared to nearby hotels considering location amenities limited in the Expo/Poly area. I feel the Marriot Bonvoy umbrella can ensure Westin implements better rates. I give a 5 on the location as it relates to the reason of my visit for a conference. I did not leave the island with the exception of Canton Tower buffet, as there is enough to do for a short weekend (beer park, metro museum, ancient port). The room service menu choice was perfection, and way better food options than the revolving restaurant at Canton Tower (compare price).

The preferred accommodation location for exhibitors. There are washing machines, dryers, and refrigerators in the rooms. The location is 3 to 5 minutes away from the exhibition hall and the subway entrance. The handsome guy who checked in gave us an upgraded suite. His attitude was serious and the service was considerate. I would have written a good review. However, the female employee at check-out was very unprofessional. She communicated with the customer for the purpose of asking for a good review and assisted her in completing the review. She had a rigid attitude and wasted other people's time. She was extremely disgusted!

Thank God, people speak English at the reception, they also charge 300 RMB as deposit. Rooms are spacious, but not all of them are nice, you need to really check and ask to get what you need. Unfortunately they were not able to give me early chicken so I had to wait for 5 hours to do that. And then they gave me the wrong room,not the one I booked and also, it smelled like cigarettes on that floor, also there were a bunch of people being loud so I went back to the front desk and asked them to change the room for the one I actually booked so they gave me a low floor number 7 but the room turned out to be nicer and very quiet, bed was very comfy, and I had a good stay there. Also, there is washing machine so you can do laundry there. And the rooms have good sound insulation which is very important for me

The front desk was not always staffed, so we were given a password to enter the room by ourselves. But who would have thought that the password was changed when we went out for dinner halfway through our stay, without any notice. This sudden situation really made us at a loss, and we hurriedly tried to contact the front desk, but there was no one there, and no one answered the phone. Now we couldn't get into the room we paid for, so we had to wait outside the door, which wasted time and ruined our good mood. To be honest, I was really disappointed. How bad is the management and service of this hotel if they can't even handle such a basic thing as staying in a room. Isn't the hotel's business supposed to satisfy guests? The room was good, and we upgraded it for free. It's a five-star rating, but the elevator was hard to wait for. The front desk was very nice. Although it's an apartment, the cleaning is also hotel standard. The room was very clean, but there was no razor. I suggest you add one. A regular razor costs only a few cents.

It seems the hotel is content to coast on its convenient location for the Canton Fair, charging premium prices without investing in proper upkeep. There is a stark contrast between the room's condition and its cost. The room was in a state of disrepair. Half of the drawers and doors wouldn't stay closed properly. The nightstand drawer was particularly frustrating, opening a full foot on its own. I had to resort to stuffing toilet paper in it to keep it shut - not exactly what you'd expect from a supposedly high-end hotel. The bathroom-bedroom divider drape was visibly dirty and hung crookedly when pulled up. It's clear that basic maintenance is not a priority here.

Thanks to a hotels manager Cyril who went beyond to make sure our stay is memorable. We enjoyed our time mostly because we felt everything hotel could help with they were happy to provide, reception stuff were great as well. Weather was not good, so we couldn’t enjoy outside facilities much, but we loved the indoor pool. Best hotel in Guangzhou, we went to Ritz afterwards and it’s not even close couldn’t be compared. So if you think to prolong your stay or try another hotel, don’t think twice 😂. It’s really the best. We will be back ❤️
