|6.17km from city centerIt was a rainy day on our entry, we parked our car at the gate and walked under rain and waited at the main gate for 10 minutes more until the receptionist opened the door. We were as wet as rats until welcomed to main building after a 100 meters more walking. Hotel is a fantastic old palace like building, architecture is breath taking, it gives a different sprit, however rooms are at base level with small windows, most probably which were servant rooms originally, not suitable to spend much time. Hotel is away from Palermo center, if you don't plan to use car, it will be very hard to manage your Palermo visit. Breakfast was excellent, the lady serving the breakfast was so friendly and so helpful. After spending 4 days in Palermo, I would say, Gattopardo was ok but we saw better alternatives in the city center with the same price range.

|1.41km from city centerFor the hotel set by cruise ship, the location is just opposite the pier, and there is also its own free parking lot, which is super convenient. The room is a budget hotel, which is quite satisfactory. The most unexpected thing was the hotel's breakfast, which was hearty, and overlooked the harbour. It's not far from the scenic area, if you can, you can walk along the beach to Sijiaochang and the Royal Palace. We walked slowly for about 45 minutes. Overall very satisfied.

|0.92km from city centerWe stayed at this hotel two separate times during our stay in Sicily in April 2022. It's a lovely hotel. It's right in the middle of so many sights and felt safe. Our rooms were spacious and comfortable with big bathrooms. One of our rooms had a view of the hills and the other was street side. My mom's room had a huge balcony that we spent time on soaking up the sun and the sounds of the city. My main reason for writing this review to highlight the AMAZING care the staff provided to my mom and her friend. They caught COVID and were quarantined to this hotel. I was terrified leaving them in Sicily while I went home but the staff took such good care of them. They knew their room number and would ask how my mom was feeling when she called to order breakfast (which is a great breakfast by the way). They helped coordinate retesting. They reassured my mom and were always available to help. My mom and her friend were living off room service and would rave about how great the food and wine was. One employee in particular, Barbara, went above and beyond. She would stop by to see my mom and help her with whatever she needed, such as going to the supermarket to get medical supplies. They were stuck there over Easter and she even brought my mom a chocolate Easter bunny :) and she brought them flowers too and it really brightened their day. My mom and her friend both said she had such a pleasant personality and made them feel cared about and loved. I truly believe their great service actually helped my mom and her friend recover quicker. It was so reassuring knowing that they were in caring hands. We want to go back as soon as they can and will pick this hotel again. Thank you everyone who works there!

|0.9km from city centerOttimo ...ma.....una piccola nota per nn perdere il pregio che il proprietario merita La struttura è situata al centro di Palermo,il proprietario una persona disponibile ,gentile,ti consiglia ecc....nulla da ridire ...solo tanti complimenti.Ma il personale è da rivalutare, abbiamo messo il materassino da mare sul terrazzino per asciugarlo insieme all ombrellone (ovviamente chiuso),il giorno seguente nn c era traccia di nulla.Allora dopo varie opzioni ho deciso di andare nella camera deposito lenzuola e l ho trovato nascosto in un angolo e dell ombrellone nn c era traccia.il lgiorno della partenza mi sono recata dalla ragazza dicendole di essermi permessa di entrare nello stanzino per cercare il mio materassino ecc....lei ha risposto che nn sapeva nulla né dell uno e né dell altro,in realtà la sua faccia è stata poco convincente dato che l accesso al balcone era consentito solo a loro attraverso due modi:1 la chiave della stanza 2 il balcone in comune con lo stanzino dove loro si soffermavano a fumare.Mi dispiace per il proprietario che è una persona meritevole,ma wlla ragazza nn ha creduto nessuno.Ah ! Dimenticavo nn avevamo nessuna intenzione di portare l ombrellone a casa ,l avremmo lasciato lì comunque,ma per il materassino le è andata male

I was dumb enough to lock the safe while the door was open and they sent someone immediately to reset it. Breakfast was a nice variety of pastries, fruit, yogurt, etc. They have a nice back patio for breakfast and dinner, and there was live music one night and a soccer game another night. Cleaning staff were very polite and friendly. I’d recommend that you hit the streets for lunch and dinner, as the opportunities are endless. Highly recommended!

We were welcomed by very friendly and helpful staff. The rooms were very nice and modern. It made me wanna stay in the hotel all day. The breakfast was really good. Their croissants are delicious. The cleaning ladies did an excellent job, they left the room and bathroom really clean every day! After checking out, we still had an appointment in the city that day, without hesitation they stored our bags until we got back. Overall, amazing experience and worth your money.

The hotel is very well located and is close enough to all the tourist spots in Palermo. Olga at reception, is very helpful and knowledgeable about places to visit and things to do. Note that the hotel is old but is very clean with fresh linen being supplied as needed. We would definitely stay there again. Great restaurant downstairs from the hotel is a bonus.

Stanza ampia, luminosa e pulitissima. Servizio professionale e sempre attento al dettaglio. Il ristorante è di ottima qualità e varietà di scelta. Potrebbero secondo me sfruttare la zona piscina anche la sera, visto il tanto spazio e la presenza del chiosco bar, con della musica da sottofondo, e luci soffuse per un bel aperitivo o cocktail bordo piscina con vista panoramica. Creare una situazione tranquilla, rilassante, dove poter interagire con gli altri ospiti, semplice ma efficace. La posizione infatti, un poco fuori mano ti obbliga la sera a prendere l'auto o una navetta e andare a Palermo. Un consiglio, il ristorante è un po' caro, soprattutto in rapporto alla quantità delle porzioni, anche se la qualità è alta. La pizza è nella media generale. Potrebbe invogliare più ospiti a restare a cena, anche se poi devi creare qualcosa, come detto prima, per far vivere la bella struttura anche nelle ore serali. Unica nota dolente, ahimè, dopo il check out delle 11, sei obbligato ad andare via. La maggior parte delle strutture invece, ti consente di restare un'altra mezza giornata in piscina, dove tra l'altro è facile prendere delle consumazioni al bar. Questa cosa va migliorata secondo me. Volevo restare fino alle 14, per godere un'altra ora della Jacuzzi, ma nonostante ho chiesto varie volte, la cosa mi è stata negata e non insistendo, sono andato via. Tornerò sicuramente, perché mi sono trovato veramente bene. Spero che la direzione dell'hotel prenda le mie considerazioni, non come critiche, ma come consigli. Per il resto tutto veramente ottimo

Our one bedroom apartment on the second floor was very spacious with lots of living space, a handy kitchen/dining room and separate bedroom with a balcony. It was light and airy. The bathroom was functional although the shower was on the small side. It contained a washing machine which came in handy as the weather was very warm! The staff at this place were friendly and helpful. Even though the apartments are not in the centre of the action there are plenty of restaurants, cafes, grocery stores etc. Shout out to the Orient Express cafe. The only negative thing I have to say is that when we first arrived the apartment smelled strongly of cigarettes, which as non-smokers was a bit off putting. Luckily it dissipated quickly.

Very helpful and informative about where we could visit in Sicily. Helped us with booking tickets and nothing was too much trouble for her. Visited Cefalu by train and the Sicilia Outlet mall by bus and basically walked the city of Palermo as well as using the hop on hop off bus service. Felt safe even at night. This was our first visit to Sicily and I’m sure we will be back. I recommend the B&B Maxim as the place to stay and Ottos as the place to eat

|0.02km from city centerI had a tough time giving InCanto an average rating, because it was definitely not average. The good qualities were really great, but the bad qualities were really bad. First the good - The room was large & comfortable, located right in the middle of everything, a few steps away from the famous Four Corners. I loved the breakfast every day delivered right to our room. Lots of great places to eat and drink, and sights to see, just a short walk in every direction. Now the bad - InCanto is difficult to find, since the main entrance, the one with a sign, is inside a private building up on the 2nd floor (or 3rd floor for Americans.) There is no signage on the main streets, and only a tiny sign once you find the otherwise generic door located down an alley. I asked many locals for directions when I was only 1 -2 blocks away, and nobody had ever heard of it. The Four Corners is very close, and very LOUD. Live music starts early in the morning and continues until late at night. Well after midnight, after the music stops, people walk through the streets shouting & kicking beer bottles. It's never quiet, and you easily hear all the noise from inside the room with all the doors & windows closed. The front desk is only staffed in the morning, so when we could not find the place in the afternoon to check in, nobody was there to answer the phone. There's no elevator and no help, so be prepared to carry all of your own luggage up two flights of narrow stairs. We had a misunderstanding regarding our bill. It worked out fine in the end, but we couldn't just go to the front desk to fix it, we had to do everything online, so something that would have normally taken two minutes wind up taking half a day. Our room had a nice wood floor, but there were tiny nails sticking up through the floor. We normally don't wear shoes inside, but after having the nails tear our socks and poke the soles of our feet, we had to keep our shoes on. For me, the negatives outweighed the positives, and I would not stay here again or recommend this place to anyone else.

First - let’s set the context: if you are looking for an experience of how it feels to live in Palermo - this place is for you. We wanted to have an authentic experience, yes, but also some luxury. We were looking more for a boutique type hotel than an actual B&B in the middle of an all residential area. The room we had was labeled a Junior Suite (“Rosalia” Room 1) and it was right next to the little breakfast area and facing the front street - so very noisy. Vossia is only on the first floor and so, you literally are on the street. We came by car and you need to make sure to get your license plate registered for the restricted traffic areas (i.e. capo market is right around the corner). You can drop your bags and then park your car at a parking garage - just drive around all the narrow streets and don’t let the GPS send you down Via Beati Paoli… that’s where the market is at and you can drive around to make it to Orlando Parking. The location of Vossia is great - literally right behind the cathedral and with many great restaurants in walking distance. The room itself was big and simple - yet nice and clean. Given the price tag of Euro 240 for 1 night however - we were expecting a little more. Essentially Vossia is an old refurbished apartment turned B&B with 5 rooms, a kitchen, reception and breakfast area. It is in an old Palermo house on the frist floor in an otherwise residential building. There is WiFi, the service is great and the room has charme but the price tag is just not justified.

|0.66km from city centerI spent over 4 hours researching Palermo hotels for what would be our last hotel on our two week European honeymoon. I am so glad I found Hotel Palco. I did note in my booking that we are honeymooning and we got the massive Romeo & Juliet suite. They created a cute display for us which was appreciated. The room was huge, clean, and so comfortable. There are two big balconies that open up onto the theater square. Air conditioning worked great too. It faced directly the Teatro Massimo, and despite the area being pretty rowdy until 2 am, I barely heard anything (with ear plugs). The balcony doors are duplicated and very thick (see picture), and the walls definitely have sound proofing. The tub and shower were perhaps the biggest I had ever seen (see picture) in a European hotel. The tub has jets and lights up too. The staff were very fantastic. I must note that on the morning traveling by train to Palermo I (think) I sprained my foot! Whatever it was, it was bad and I could barely walk. So when I showed up to Palco i needed some way to find crutches or a boot. Stefania was very diligent in helping me find medical care, but we couldnt find anything near by, and just when we were about to call an ambulance to go to a hospital just to get crutches ( Palermo...) they found an ortho supply shop right around the corner and I got crutches and a boot and my trip was saved! Shout out to Giacomo for being so friendly as well and giving me the ice packs at night time! Lastly, breakfast was small (its like a 4 or 5 room hotel), but just perfect for us. Very good quality of the selections. This hotel is an absolute steal in value and I highly recommend it.

|1.14km from city centerI really enjoyed my stay despite some minor issues. The suite was modern, well designed, clean with comfortable mattress and sheets. We were few minutes walk to Palermo Central Train/ Bus station, so when traffic is high, no need to take a cab and be stressed, you just pick up your luggage and walk. The property manager was very nice to us. The area was a bite odd, but I felt safe. Please note it would have been better to return before 22:30 if you were on foot. I travelled with my mum and my kid so I certainly needed an elevator. You have to give the door a Hard Push either to the elevator or your suite room and everything will be fine. I had one day an issue with the shower as the drain was clogged and a lot of water went onto the floor, my mum tried to fix it with some towels. As a Civil Eng., I understand that some technical workers did not do properly their work and I do respect someone else property, so I immediately sent a message to the manager to fix it. In the meanwhile I showered in the small bathroom we had in order to save time and enjoying our holiday. On our return it was fixed. Finally, Palermo is an very interesting city with friendly people and I particularly enjoyed my double cappuccino at Gran Cafe TORINO and dinner at SciuRum restaurant.

It's about a 10 minute walk Palermo Lolli train station there is a direct train from the Airport to this station. Trains in Sicily are slow but cheap compared to the UK. The host was very welcoming and provided a Map pointing out where to go. It's about a 5 min walk to the main area and there is a Supermarket a little further down the road. There is a Fridge in the communal Kitchen where you can keep your Wine chilled. The room was clean, comfy bed and a nice Bathroom. As in most of Italy there are stairs so if you arent so nimble be warned.

Great location, vibe and super clean. The solid windows meant we didn't hear a thing when inside our room which was an added bonus given it is located in the main street. The staff honestly were exceptional. We also needed to attend to some personal matters back home and the staff were available to assist us and went out of their way to do so. They were contactable no matter what time it was. Amazing service and support. If I return to Palermo we will definitely stay again. Thank you

This hotel is located in the center of Palermo, just a few minutes' walk to the Massimo Theater and the main shopping street is right next to the hotel. Along this street, you can easily reach the Quatro Canti. In fact, you simply live in the old town of Palermo. Paid parking is 20 euros/night. Weak points: 1. Little choice at breakfast. 2. Only one employee at the reception, so no one can even have time to give tourist information to guests as a concierge. I believe this is a tourist hotel but not a business hotel, so the hotel should offer some concierge-like services at the front desk.

A great little terrace to stand up and see the sea from the room. Top notch staff, very welcoming and make the effort to speak French when it is difficult. Extra breakfast with Italian specialties. Very original decor. Too bad the relaxation area was under construction. So no spa available. We did not try the swimming pool with the beach opposite. But the swimming cap is obligatory. Opposite the hotel, 2 minutes away, there are several coves where locals come to swim without too many tourists. To go to Mondello Beach you have to take either a bus in 5 minutes you are there (not very regular and punctual). Where on foot in 20 min. Next to the hotel there is a supermarket, restaurant and bakery. It was perfect!
