With the exception of the parking fee of $28 bucks per day, I liked everything about the Hotel FERO in terms of customer service, facilities & cleanliness. The best part I like about the hotel is the convenient location to Interstate 5, the Honda Center, Angels Stadium, a walkable shopping center and restaurants.

I stayed 2 for watching MLB and sightseeing in California Disney. This time, it is convenient to travel by public transportation and the bus stop is right in front of you. The parking lot is also large, so I felt good for rental car users. The hotel room is very large, with a pool and jacuzzi, so you can spend your time comfortably. I was satisfied with breakfast and fruits and yogurt. The welcome coffee service was also good. Also, all the staff are very friendly and greet you well. I want to use it again next time.

We were happy with our one week stay at Ayres. We chose this hotel for our Disney vacation. The property was clean, well maintained and had lots of parking spaces. Check-in and check-out was a breeze. Our room was huge and had everything we needed except for a safe. We enjoyed having breakfast every morning as well. The people working at the restaurant were always friendly. There wasn't a lot of options for breakfast but that's ok coz it was just a bonus for us, we didn't really go there for the breakfast. We also tried the hotel's restaurant for dinner and we were satisfied with the food. There's also a lot of restaurants nearby so you have options if you want variety. We were on the 4th floor -- it was a little bit noisy as it was by the freeway so you can definitely hear the cars on the road but we just played some white noise to help us fall asleep and didn't bother us at all once we're actually asleep. All in all it was a great vacation for us!

My friend lives in Orange City. For the sake of convenience, we choose a hotel around his home. All prices are similar, this is a good review. Facilities: Although it is an old hotel, the facilities are very new and the layout is very clean. The room we stayed in was a suite. The bed was really super comfortable. Service: The hotel staff are very nice, but I have been playing and not staying at the hotel for a long time. Hygiene: The whole is very clean, including the public restroom in the corner. Slag map

The room is clean, the bathroom is large, equipped with a microwave and electric iron, which is good. Unfortunately, there is no electric kettle. The breakfast is great. Although it is an enlarged version of the traditional American breakfast, it is also rich and delicious, and the children like it very much. The service staff are very kind and polite, making you feel comfortable. Will stay at this hotel next time

I would give negative stars if I could. Our room was dirty. There was old pizza on a cardboard ”plate” in the microwave; Bacon on the carpet (I'm guessing a former pizza topping); White pieces of ”popcorn”on the carpet; An earring laying on the floor beside a chair; The rubber cover from an earbud; Hair on the pillow; and many, many mysterious carpet spots. Also, the window in the bathroom had no way to lock or secure it closed. We went and bought cleaning supplies and were going to tough it out. But when we returned, our key wouldn't work. Some how our key that was supposed to be for our room 105A opened 105. Unbeknownst to us, we went in and left our things in the wrong room. The manager/owner wouldn't allow us to use 105A (which was cleaner) because we had went into 105. And he was annoyed that we had been in 105-- like we had done something to make our key magically open the wrong room. After being treated so rudely by the manager/owner, I called my credit card company and we promptly left for a different motel.

Maritza Rocks!!! Anthony is Awesome!!! Adell is Cool!!! I needed to have my 3 rooms on the same floor and if possible to have 2 of them connect to each other. I understand how difficult it can be to have connecting rooms so I was hopeful. When I called, Maritza answered the phone and was SUPER friendly and willing to assist. I explained to her that I would be arriving by 2 PM and was hoping for the above as well as at least 1 room to have early check-in. Maritza not only took care of me, she amazed me!! She was able to secure 3 rooms on the same floor all close to each other and 2 of them were also connecting as requested. After that, she informed me that she could have all 3 rooms available for my early arrival as well. When I arrived Maritza was assisting another guest and Anthony checked me in. Anthony was also friendly and fun to engage with while completing the check-in process. Anthony is new to hotels and has been at this one for just about a year. You can really tell that his passion is hospitality. Adell was the 3rd team member that I had the pleasure of meeting while checking in. She has worked at another hotel before but is newer to this location and Sonesta. She too loves hospitality but enjoys wowing the guests after they come back from a long day at Disneyland. Update: my room lock stopped working and I had to call the desk for maintenance. It took 5 minutes and 11 seconds from me hanging up with the desk to maintenance fixing the lock. It took Maintance 2 minutes and 28 seconds to get the call from the desk and to come up to my room. Once he came up and saw what was needed it took him another 1 minute and 27 seconds to go back and retrieve tools and batteries to fix the lock. Once he had his tools He was able to fix the lock in 77 seconds. I am not sure if many will understand how great this is. I realize that responses aren’t typically this fast. However, a shoutout has to be made because they did this all in less than 6 minutes. That’s crazy!!!! Lastly, I have to shout out housekeeping for clean rooms. I always break down the room to inspect for bugs, dirt, or any other unwanted items. Not only were my 3 rooms super clean, they were dust free too! Great job to the Sonesta Anaheim for such a wonderful staff and leadership!!!

Booked a room for a family Disneyland vacation August 2022. At check in I was surprised when I was told there would be no cleaning service during our stay even if we ask. Their reason was 'for our safety and their staff safety.' In my opinion the owners have found a way to increase profit margin by minimizing the number of cleaning staff they hire yet continue to charge rates equivalent to a deluxe hotel. You can do better at a budget hotel or go to a deluxe for the same price and get cleaning service

The room was ok. More than $1,100 was inexplicably deducted. I communicated with the platform for two days before the hotel responded that I could refund. In addition, parking fees for 5 days will be deducted after check-out, which is US$20 per day. Everyone pay attention to the purchase order when staying in the hotel. Be sure to check carefully when checking out. The fried chicken opposite is delicious

The booking at Days Inn Garden Grove was most dissatisfying. I had difficulty finding the location and reached out to the hotel. The representative was extremely rude on the phone indicating there was no medical center nearby and he had a customer in front of him saying, ”you need to hold on.” Essentially, the customer who had just arrived was more important than me, who was lost on the phone. Turns out, the medical complex I was in was directly next to the Days Inn (Harbor Inn) motel. Upon arrival and check in, I realized the door was broken and wouldn't shut all the way. There was also a very strong cleaning/chemical smell that was truly overpowering. It smelled like a strong carpet powder had been spread all over the room. Lastly, there was very little water pressure and the towels were all very tiny, as if for small children. With these items in mind, and with the ironing board propped up under the handle of the door for safety, I attempted to sleep and checked out in the morning, an early checkout from my 4 night scheduled stay. The manager was unavailable and the same representative told me the manager would call me regarding a refund for the early check out. I had checked in around 9pm and checked out before 9am the next day. I was charged a full 4 nights' stay PLUS a deposit and never heard back from the manager. I had to send an email through the app and received a short response of ”Hi, we are sorry to let you know but the reservation was non refundable and non cancellation anytime.” I called back and asked to speak to the manager and was told by a representative that because I was offered another room, I cannot receive a refund. I left my phone number again and emailed again asking that a manager call to speak with me directly. I have not received a call. I was, in fact, offered another room. However, I was not offered quality/caring service, I had a room that wreaked, I barely slept because I felt unsafe (the screws were literally falling out of the door lock), and the shower essentially didn't work. I showed the representative videos and pictures of all of these things. I assure you he did not care and did not seem surprised. What was the likelihood that another room would be better? And the fact that a manager will not speak to me speaks volumes. I would highly recommend that you seek another place to stay. Best wishes to all for safe travels and a stay that affords you simple comforts like a working door and shower.

My wife has been an IHG member for 14 years and they usually are pretty good places to stay. We booked this place for a week thinking it was in Irvine. The name is “Candlewood Suites IRVINE WEST” but actually is in Santa Ana. (I would never have booked if I knew it was in Santa Ana.) We arrived there and were put in a disgusting old room that smelt terribly of smoke even though it was a no smoking room. It smelt like someone had smoked an entire pack of cigarettes and then locked all the doors up for a week. We didn’t bother complaining as I was so exhausted and didn’t have the energy to pack up our stuff and move again, we just slept with the window open so that we didn’t feel sick. The sink was grotty and also smelt bad. The insinkerator clearly had some stuff stuck down there that had been rotting so when you turned it on it smelled awful. My wife's friend came to visit me and was worried about me leaving her guitar or any of her valuables there if I was going out because it just felt unsafe and sketchy. Lo and behold our car got broken into in the parking lot on Christmas Eve - smashed window and stolen purse full of gift cards worth over $500. The hotel were very unhelpful. They said there were no cameras/cctv (really, in Santa Ana??) They said they would try and help with the cost of fixing the car and they were going to put a claim in for us. They gave me the run around having to speak to a bunch of different people, call multiple times, email back and forth, only to find out 2 months later that they denied our request and there’s nothing they can do. This place has a nursing home vibe. I felt unsafe from the beginning before the car was even broken into. Very disappointing for IHG. I’m surprised they own this property. Really unhappy that they mislead you into thinking you’re staying in Irvine, then have no CCTV in the parking lot, and then say they aren’t liable. Seriously do not stay here. I’m shocked that they not only put us in a dingy, smelly room but then did nothing to help us, even as IHG members.

The Manager has BEYOND the BEST team working for her. The Manager is ALWAYS going ABOVE & BEYOND to assure that ALL her guests are COMPLETELY taken care. PIA is a VERY STRONG part of this team. PIA is ALWAYS willing to help a guest to a fellow Co Worker with any task thrown her way. Our Ms Gnocchi will vouch for her all day long. MONICA is another VERY STRONG part of this team. She is always going ABOVE & BEYOND to get done whatever task needs to be completed. YOUSSEFF is our shy yet goofy guy who will make you smile and laugh even on a day when you are not having it. He will be GREATLY MISSED THE MANAGER, PIA & MONICA have saved us on a couple of occasions when we were in a desperate way in need of help. We both refer to ALL three of them as our GUARDIAN ANGELS. WE ARE SO GRATEFUL AND BEYOND BLESSED TO HAVE THEM HERE AND BECAUSE OF THEM IS WHY WE STAY HERE & NO WHERE ELSE SINCERELY, ROBERTO, JENNIFER & MS. GNOCCHI HERNANDEZ 🐾🙏😇🤗🤗🐾

We stayed at this hotel while my son was hospitalized at Hoag Hospital. The hotel was easily accessible from Hw 55. This is an older hotel, but the rooms were nice and clean. The price was extremely reasonable. The staff was amicable, particularly the breakfast staff, maids, and front desk. They have a nice pool and spa and an adequate gym. They also have an airport shuttle service and free parking. The property is safe; they gave security and surveillance cameras. It's close to restaurants. I recommend this hotel.

Nice. We had a few minor few problems but two employes, Christy and Patty, stepped way up to take care of us, we couldn't had nicer and better people helping us than them. The only negative about is ”The Bistro” prices are way to high but you can walk a block either way from the hotel and there was great places to eat.

Stayed at the Hilton Orange County airport Doubletree in July for a softball tournament. I just want to recognize Michael who worked the front desk for the majority of the week while I was there and was superb. He made us feel like at home when we checked in, would have a nice conversation during the week and, was very very friendly. The hotel was nice and clean and updated and had a fresh vibe. Also, Adam, the manager was also very helpful. Recommend this hotel.

So 2 of my colleagues and myself, checked in on 1/3 for a company training for one week. The company paid for room, tax, parking and breakfast daily. I was asked for my card for incidentals (who even has incidentals anymore since everyone has a cellphone and a Netflix account, but I digress). My card was charged $1,000 for incidentals. Yes, you saw that correctly, $1,000. When I called down to the front desk, I was told it was a mistake and they apologized. They also comped my dinner for the evening. No worries, continued my week of training. I noticed however, at the end of the week, the $1,000 was still on my card. When I asked why, I was told by a different front desk agent that the hold was put on my card ”just in case my bosses card did not go through.” What? So if I was traveling on vacation, would they ask for my best friend's card ”just in case my card didn't go through?” Again, the apology, and EVENTUALLY the money was put back on my card. Fast forward to our 2nd week of training. This time, I called the hotel directly to express my displeasure with the previous week. I was assured that there would be no issues. And was told they had staff that was training. Myself and my same 2 colleagues check in again on 1/10. I give my card for incidentals. A $40 hold this time. Perfect! We are off to a great start. The stay went well. And no issues when checking out. Until today. There is a $20 and a $48 CHARGE, not a hold, to my card. I call the hotel, and was told the $48 was for parking and they have no idea what the $20 charge is for. What? So they did a credit for the $48, but said I need to call the bank for the $20. Marriott is normally my go-to for travel but i have never heard of this crazy policy of charging a guest's card ”just in case the company card declines.” Needless to say, I will be letting my company know about this. They should definitely find another hotel to put employees in when coming to town.

Disappointed with the service. When I arrived all over California the hotels were serving breakfast but this one was offering just a pancake without any juice because the juice machine was broken. I decided to go to a Target to buy my breakfast and I forgot to bring a plastic knife and fork. The front desk told me they couldn’t afford that as they already closed the breakfast area. I insisted if the guy couldn’t just walk in the area and grab one for me as he said no. Also my room there was one light that was not working and again I contacted the front desk and he said they couldn’t fix it because I won’t leave the hotel in the next day. He didn’t even offered me another room. The hotel elevator was completely wet when I arrived and very slippery and it was the same on the next day. If an elderly person step in could get injured. The funniest think is that I walked to Hampton Inn and Suite just across the street to check if they could give me a plastic knife and fork and the front desk invited me to their breakfast as it would close in 15 min and I could have something for eat there.

First of all, the environment is OK, relatively quiet, the nearby Plaza can be driven for a few minutes. Disadvantages, the facilities are old, even damaged, some rooms have a smell, accurately is damp moldy smell, concentrated in the living room, very affecting the accommodation experience. The SPA pool is very foamy and the disinfectant bleach tastes very strong and is not very good. In short, if you want affordable suite space, it is OK. But after all, it's a penny, don't expect too much from here. If you want a good suite, choose some high-end hotels.

The rooms are spacious, had room to set up two work stations. House keeping was great and kept us supplied with coffee. The outdoor pool is heated and the Hot Tub was welcoming; even in 66 degree weather. Toast to Toast is a full service restaurant in the hotel, the Breakfast Buffet was fantastic. Management and staff were very friendly. The bar was the highlight, Lorrie was the best bartender!, keeping everything going in the evening. The manager made a great Bloody Mary for breakfast too.

We stayed in several BW plus properties near UC Irvine and this was the closest, most convenient, and most business like compared to other BW plus in the area. It is located in a hotel row, right beside the hampton inn, but with a more friendly rate. The room is not the largest but fits a family of 4 - two teens, comfortably. It does have all the BW plus amenities, including a full hot breakfast (one plate per person, keep your voucher, menu varies daily), although not self service but sufficient for your needs, plus it keeps the rate low. We actually stayed twice in this property, and the first time, I was going to quibble that the hotel has a BW plus label without a waffle machine for breakfast, but on our second stay, about a week later, the waffle machine was there (although not self-service). So I am grading 5 for location, cleaness, rate and convenience, and grading a 4 for room size and breakfast. All in all, I think this is the place to stay when in Irvine for a quick stay.

We had the opportunity to stay at this location for the last part of July. We had a number of swimmers that were attending two separate swim meets and the hotel was beyond accommodating. Check-in was a breeze: friendly and quick. They gave me what I asked for: the quietest room. So, when I started noticing problems, I decided not to ask for another room. I've stayed at Motel 6s, so I knew that the spot next to the window usually has a table and chairs. My room didn't; it was just a big empty space. I was alone, so I didn't really need the table; I sat in the one chair along the desk at the side of the room. I went to plug in my computer, and... there was only *one* free outlet in the entire room -- except at the bathroom! (See the photo.) (Hint: I've learned to bring a long extension cord and power strip for rooms like these.) I tried to turn on the light over the desk; it didn't work. When I looked inside the fixture, the light bulb was *missing*. The light fixture over the big empty space on the floor had just one working bulb; the other was either missing or burned out. Luckily, the light over the washbasin was bright, so I used it to light the room. I went to the basin to wash my hands. When I turned the faucet to hot, only a tiny trickle came out. (See the photo.) I decided to wash my hands in the bathtub. Then I noticed that the tub spout wasn't clean: it had a film of minerals. The tub had a couple of tears, some rusty stains, and... two co**** black hairs several inches long! I went to get a hand towel; there was only one, and it was hanging out of the towel rack (see photo)... there were no washcloths. I plugged my computer into my extension cord to use the WiFi. The computer said the signal was strong. As usual, my browser opened a login page, but then I waited... it took almost a minute for the login page to appear! I went to the speed test website (TripAdvisor probably won't let me give the URL). I had 0.99 Mbps download and 0.50 Mbps upload -- which is super-slow. (This was at 4:30pm. The speed stayed the same for hours after.) I tried to upload pictures from my phone's camera to Google Photos... uploading 80 photos took two and a half hours! When I logged in again later, I noticed a space for an ”upgrade code, if purchased.” Maybe the motel entices us with their sign by the street advertising WiFi, but making us pay more if we want to do almost anything with it? Luckily, I didn't need it so I didn't try it. There was a fair amount of paint missing from parts of the exterior walls and gang graffiti by the stairwell at the back corner of the motel. For some reason -- although the days of soda and beer in bottles are mostly gone -- there was an old rusty bottle opener fixture attached underneath the washbasin. I'm not heavy, but the bed sagged in the middle. At least the parking lot was clean.
