📌🚆 From Chengdu, you can take the high speed train to Emei station (峨眉站). From here there are buses you can take to various points of the mountain depending on your trip. We took a bus to the bottom of the mountain and started with the cable car. From here we hiked from about 8 hours to the second cable car which took us to the top. Please note the second cable car stops after 18:00 so if you don't wish to walk the last part, it's best to start the hike before 10am to be safe. 🏔🙊 There are some temples along the way and some cheeky monkeys! Make sure when you pass through the monkey areas, that you keep your valuables inside your backpack or pockets. Of course the biggest attraction is at the top of the mountain! I've visited here in both winter and summer, and I would highly recommend going in winter. The view is much more spectacular! The pictures posted are from my latest trip in Summer. 🏠 After the second cable car there are limited hotels at the top. Personally, I've stayed at the top twice and my favourite hotel we booked was the Jin Ding hotel. 🥢 The hotel itself doesn't have a restaurant however there is one just across the way from the hotel (1min walk), and the hotel provided free breakfast there. 🍎 There are many tiny shops along the way to the top that sells necessities such as water, snacks, juice, chocolate, noodles. I would suggest bringing light snacks of your own just in case. 📝 12/10 ~ highly recommend if you enjoy hiking! It's a tough climb, but so worth it for the sunset/sunrise!

🏔️ Mt. Emeishan in Sichuan is an absolute paradise for hiking enthusiasts and nature lovers. The stunning landscape, adorned with beautiful temples, leaves a lasting impression. The 9 bends and the monkey ecological center are particularly captivating. Walking alongside the river and through the gorges is a breathtaking experience, although be prepared for the challenge of navigating thousands upon thousands of steps. 🥾 I embarked on a 10-hour hike from Baoguo Temple to Wannian Temple, maintaining a steady pace throughout. Along the way, I made sure to visit each temple, but my personal favorite was the enchanting Yixintian with its gorgeous garden at the back. With snack and noodle shops conveniently located along the route, I didn't have to pack an excessive amount of provisions. 🚌 It's important to note that buses depart from Wannian and Leidongping promptly at 6 pm, so proper timing is crucial. I highly recommend this hiking experience, but be cautious about carrying plastic bags, as the monkeys can be aggressive. The terrain is awe-inspiring, with misty clouds floating around ancient trees of various species. If you have a deep appreciation for hiking and nature, Mt. Emeishan should be at the top of your list. You could easily spend days exploring this vast park. #hiking #China hiking #tranquility

Sichuan province is famous for its mountains. Emeishan is one of those impressive and tourist friendly mountains/national parks. But if you want to see the Golden Summit it’s not a walk in the park.. don’t let those stairs deceive you. You will face over 40km of stairs climbing up.. And it gets steeper the higher you go. It will take about 2 days. And as we speak of winter trips, the last third of the way will be covered with snow. But I promise you, every step will worth it! You will see real nature and go through temples. In some of them you can stop for a night. And you will be basically alone the whole way.. you know why? Because not many people choose to climb this mountain. Yes, there is another way 😅 Bus + cable car. But I really advise you to hike the way up and use the easy option for coming down. You won’t regret it. #wintertrip

Mount Emei, considering the highest of the Four Sacred Buddhist Mountain of China, is a 3,099m-tall mountain in Sichuan Province.
