I stayed here on the first day of my trip to Dubai. It was a nice hostel in a good location for a cheap price. However, the check-in area was quite difficult to find. Go to room 1609 to check in. There is no shampoo for the shower, so you need to bring your own. There is a washing machine, and they will give you detergent if you ask.

Room is a decent size, the brown woodwork etc makes the room look dated, the furniture is nothing fancy but manageable. The tv was not bringing up any channels etc and the water was cold but the next day i called up and they managed to sort it out fairly quickly. I was not on the beach front side, but the view at the back is nice. Price was pretty fair for the location, and i was on my own, so it was more than i needed. I think the furnishings let it down a little- it wouldn't cost much to repaint the wood and update the bathroom to make it more appealing.

AC was on and it was too gold, I asked admin to make lower he just ignored me. At the night I just left the hostel and asked admin to cancel my second night, he said OK and promised that money for 2 nights will be back, I wrote an email to concerned department they also said they will return, now almost 1 month passed they just ignoring my calls and messages. The hotel is located in Bur Dubai, about 500m from the Burjuman metro station. There are shops nearby. There is a pool and gym. The rooms are a reasonable size. Some of the WiFi works well and some doesn't work at all in the rooms. There are few sockets and only on one side of the bed. There is a hair dryer. There are bedside tables. there is climate. However, this one tends to be too cold. The bathroom is nice but could be bigger. Even so, the shower is cramped. There is some counter space at the sink, in the shower too. The water pressure is a bit low. There are towels, shower gel and soap. There is a fridge, kettle, toaster, kitchenette with utensils, microwave, TV with 14 channels that don't all work, there is no safe. There is a cupboard, a table and a chair and storage space. The beds are a bit hard. Unfortunately there is a full length mirror. The bathroom has a window. There is an elevator. The staff is ok. The hotel is partly clean. Unfortunately, you cannot completely darken the room with curtains. Breakfast is offered but currently not a buffet.

I regret to say that my experience at ROVERS hostel was utterly disappointing. From the moment I arrived, it was obvious that cleanliness was not a priority. The bathrooms were not only filthy but infested with an alarming number of ants and cockroaches 🤢 making it nearly impossible to use them comfortably. The attitude of the owner was runing our stay , displaying a complete lack of concern for the state of the facilities or the well-being of guests. Moreover, the staff's rudeness reached new heights when they had the audacity to talk to me while eating, instructing me to ”close my mouth while eating.” As if these bad things weren't enough there is an absurd rule prohibiting guests from lingering in the living area past 12 am only added insult to injury. Save yourself the trouble and steer clear of ROVERS hostel !! if you value even the most basic standards of hygiene and hospitality as a human and a tourist in DUBAII!!!
