 But we are self-driving tours. There is no paid large public parking lot. The so-called parking lots shown on the mobile phone map are private or supermarkets. But there is also a way to find the  white ground line  meter ． on the street can be parked for free until 9 am, and then continue for two hours . In short, if you drive over, don't look like we stormed  looking for a public parking lot in this area, you can't find it, put it on the street.
 There is no picky place to live. There is also a cute small terrace that is to study how to open the iron curtains for a while. It turned out that the switch was on the back of a wooden frame, not on the window.
The cleanliness is high, the space is large, the cabinet is very beautiful, and it is also equipped with a dishwasher, which is very convenient. This is our dinner.  Everything is good. If you want to be picky, the two cooking pots are not very useful. I hope to finish these small things. It will be perfect. Next time I come to Zurich, I will live in this room, because the check-in is simple, he will give you a password and press the password key at the door and fall off, and there is a lock at the gate, the whole seat is safer, there is also an elevator Don't worry about luggage . It was also good idea because anything you needed was right there or a fairly reasonably priced eatery next door. For the price I paid compared to other EU countries it's worth less than half the price but it's Zurich so everything is expensive. The location is excellent easy it's easy walk to the train station. I would stay here aging if the price was much lower. Remember the are no elevator so you must log your suitcase up many flights of stairs.

The Alexander Guesthouse and Hotel was convenient, centrally located in the old town, and just a walk from the Zurich HB (hauptbahnhoff, or central station). The location is the first point towards 5/5. Next is the service. Upon arriving, carrying at least one bag too many, I left my partner at a bench, while I went to check in. As I checked in with the front desk, they sent a man to collect her. He carried our bags (from around the corner, and down a block), and with a friendly smile, and great welcome brought our duffels and packs inside. The service was welcoming, and as they informed me that they’d given me an “upgrade” I was pleased to find our corner room on an upper floor, with a pleasant view of the small plaza below. An Alnatura grocer is situated right next to the hotel, which is also convenient. The area around the hotel is a pied a marché, where there are many shops, restaurants, and, as is the only real problem with Zurich, smokers. But the hotel is a winner. Relatively inexpensive, well situated, and staffed with excellent people.

First we had No.21; there it smelled strongly of cigarette smoke and the pizza supplier on the ground floor, the cutlery, the glasses and plates were dirty in the kitchen cupboard, the microwave was dirty, the extractor hood buttons were missing, the same was true of the stove. The bathroom had stains everywhere and was also dirty. At the second apartment No. 41; Luckily it no longer smelled of smoke and was ”cleaner” than the other one. In turn, it had also had many dirty places. For example the mold edges in the fridge, the make-up stains in the bathroom, the dirty (-not washed clean-) bath towels. The walls of both rooms were dirty and very thin. The gentleman on the phone was very snippy, arrogant and only agreed to give us another room when we really put pressure on him. Really a sad picture.

|1.04km from city centerThis was my second stay at this property having enjoyed one earlier in the year. The accommodation is simple enough but comfortable. It has a kitchenette with fridge which proved very handy given the heat as I kept it stocked with drinks. The electric plug in fan was also useful for same reason. Bed very comfortable although the softness of the pillows took a bit of getting used to. Building in the main very quite although if there is events going on outside you will hear. Great location tram/bus stop a couple of hundred yards away as is a nice pub, supermarket, main train station also walking distance as is the centre if Zurich so ideal for exploring. Definitely will be staying again in future.

Upon arrival we do a “self check in” where to my surprise I received the keys to apartment 51! It shouldn't be a problem, but… the hotel has NO ELEVATOR 😱😱😱😱😱 They believe they rented a room in a building under renovation and without an elevator!!! I went up 5 floors with all my bags walking up the stairs!!! Finally, a nightmare! My money back would like to receive, if I hadn't made the advance payment I wouldn't even have entered here! Horrible! I do not recommend!!! O hotel está em reforma!!! Tudo sujo, cheio de terra, máquinas e pessoas trabalhando! Na chegada fazemos um “self check in” onde para minha surpresa recebi as chaves do apartamento 51! Não deveria ser um problema, mas… o hotel está SEM ELEVADOR 😱😱😱😱😱 Acreditam que fizeram a locação de um quarto em um prédio em reforma e sem elevador!!! Subi 5 andares com todas as malas andando pelas escadas!!! Enfim, um pesadelo! Gostaria de receber meu dinheiro de volta, se não tivesse feito pagamento antecipado nem teria entrado aqui! Um horror! Não recomendo!!!

|0.39km from city centerNice hostel, much better than a regular hostel and gives more privacy. Also nice and cool in the dorm room. Vending machine takes card and receptionist was helpful. Though we were told we needed to scan our card to enter the room but the door just appeared unlocked so no sure how secure this is as we didnt need to scan. Perhaps at night once the receptionist leaves you need to scan then. Showers are nice and they supply towels and hair dryers. Only other thing was the slamming of doors, you think it would be common courtesy not to do this but it would appear not. Staff could possibly install something on the door to stop it slamming or some sort of silencer. Could also do with the house rules inside the capsule as some guests need reminded that they are sharing with others. Would stay here again.

Für mich als reisende Frau war aber besonders die Tatsache, dass es keinen Frauenschlafsaal gab, ausschlaggebend. Das Hostel liegt im/nahe dem Rotlichtvirtel von Zürich, was bei mir dafür gesorgt hat, dass ich Abends nicht mehr rausgegangen bin .. Das einzig positive war das Personal. Als wir anmerken,daß wir uns nicht wohlfühlten,haben wir sofort ein neues Zimmer bekommen. Auch sonst war das Personal immer freundlich und hilfsbereit

Der Preis ist günstig, ja, aber davon sollte man sich nicht locken lassen und lieber ein paar Franken mehr ausgeben. Die Lüftung war so laut dass kein Gespräch mehr geführt werden konnte. An den Wänden waren Blutspuren (????), im WC waren Kotspuren, die Türgriffe wurden wohl noch nie geputzt da sie klebrig und schmutzig waren, es gab keine Handseife, das Bett war kaputt (Kopfteil war tiefer als Fussteil), Nachttische gab es keine und das Bett war wohl nicht frisch bezogen. Der Boden war dreckig und die Haupttür hatte gar kein Schloss sodass jederzeit jeder sich in dem Gebäude aufhalten konnte. Zudem wurde durch die Lüftung ein starker ********geruch und später auch ein starker Zigarrengeruch ins Zimmer geblasen, der den aufdringlichen Thaiessengeruch, der vorgängig im Zimmer herrschte, sogar fast überdeckte. Es gibt kein Personal im Hotel welches man ansprechen kann. Der Lift wirkte nicht sicher, einige Knöpfe schienen nicht zu funktionkeren. Wir haben uns nach kurzem 15 minütigen Aufenthalt dazu entschieden, nicht in diesem Zimmer zu schlafen. Zum Glück ist das auschecken genau so unkompliziert wie das einchecken, sodass wir den Schlüssel einfach nur in die check-out Box werfen konnten und gehen konnten. Dieses ”Hotel” sollte direkt geschlossen werden.

The apartment was clean and spacious and so was the bathroom. Well equipped with the kitchen and appliances.
But unfortunately our stay was not comfortable. We were travelling as a family so we booked two studio apartments but the apartments were at two very different floors. The room was really really hot with no air conditioning. They did provide a fan which was not good at all. We requested for an extra fan but they didn’t provide that and because of heat we couldn’t sleep at all.
They do have a parking but one needs to pay extra for the parking which is quite expensive. We paid 80 euros for 3 days but even then sometimes our parking spot was taken by the others. Even after paying this much amount, one is always under stress because of your spot is taken by someone else and you’ve parked somewhere else then there’s a possibility of getting your car towed away. We had to make multiple calls to the service office as they don’t have any service counter. One needs to make calls(not cost effective at all) or communicate through the email to get in touch with them which is very inconvenient. Also they didn’t offer cleaning services even once during our stay.
Also they don’t have any house shoes in the apartment.
So if you have any other option then please go for it. I wouldn’t recommend anyone staying there especially in summer months.

|2.47km from city centerWith the stay in a 6-bed dorm room being just an ordinary experience, the best about this place in my opinion are outside the room and specifically the ”wide corridors” nicely spacious to walk around & the ”huge lounge” downstairs with plenty of work-spaces (big tables & chairs all around). And yes, also pretty ”nice & filling” was its buffet-styled breakfast with really a variety of items (actually food available throughout the day with lunch & dinner as well but which you have to pay for unlike the breakfast included with the stay). If coming here from the Zurich Central (HB) Station, there's the train first to Hardbrucke (just one station from HB) followed by the bus to Jugendherberge (about a 15-minute ride and getting off at the station just before its last stop of Morgental). And if going downtown from here to the area with the city's ”main churches” (Fraumunster, Grossmunster & St. Peter's), there's a tram at just about a 5-minute walk ”straight from” the front entrance (and likely at a frequent interval).
