The accommodation is really great for the value - I was positively surprised. It has very good location - just in front of the bus stop that you can easily reach the city center and on a 5 min walking distance from the Metro station Colombia. Rooms are new, very clean, stylish and spacious, bathroom is big enough, the room had a big balcony to the inner yard (not noisy). Internet connection is more than perfect. Room was cleaned every day. The reception is 24/7 and very friendly The windows are soundproof but unfortunately the walls are not - they are rather thin so you ca hear every little and not so little noise from the corridor or next room (or maybe because the bed was just next to the corridor wall). Some guest were rather noisy late in the evening/night and makes it difficult to sleep The TV had no English channels

The place looks really shady inside. They only have inflatable beds which are extremely uncomfortable. No lockers, but you can ask the reception to open the warehouse door where everyone stores their suitcases and important stuff and this warehouse is locked at all times.

The hotel location is remote, but there are supermarkets around. The room has no advantage except that it's large. It is 10 minutes' walk to the subway station. The facilities are too poor. That refrigerator is estimated to be of the 1980s. No slippers are provided. And no tissues. The room was cleaned in three days.

The only time I leave google reviews is to warn people, but if you decide to stay here, be aware of my honest review. For one, DO NOT up pay for a private room. There is no proper air ventilation, and it almost resembles a prison cell. Regular beds are just beds in the main room divided by curtains as walls, so if someone makes noise, sure you will hear it. I notified the receptionist about the air quality in the private room and was ignored several times, so I contacted the primary host about it. They accommodated by putting a fan in the room, and I was grateful. Regardless I slept with the door open. They left me my first and only bad review on Airbnb, stating I cheated them out by paying in pesos (Mexican money). There are two issues with this. For one, I live in the USA and do not own pesos, and for two, I only paid using my credit card except for a tiny cup of tea and three pieces of paper that accumulated around 3 euros. I DO NOT RECOMMEND.

When we arrived there I stayed a little plow because it's a kind of older school for students, which rents the overlooking rooms. I had made a double room and I was sure that it wasn't, in fact, we had to ask for a second towel game because there was only one. But it's a curiosity place, the rooms are thought to the millimeter, enjoying each free space. The bed is down with a button because if not, it doesn't fit in the room. But it's very comfortable. The rooms were very clean and the horse we were afraid that the horses wouldn't let us sleep... it was out, the rooms are very soundproofed and the doors have a soft closure, so you don't know when they come out or come in.

I stayed in this guest house for a weekend. It is located in a calm area of the city, but it is super close to the underground station so it is easy from there to reach the city centre and more vibrant areas of Madrid. The fact that the check-in is contactless and you do not even need keys to get in (you get an email on your smartphone with the instructions to enter) is a great pro. My room was nice and neatly arranged. The shared bathroom and kitchenette were clean and functional. The free wifi worked perfectly. The place was generally quiet, though maybe the room were not super sound-proof to I often could hear people in the nearby rooms chatting (earplugs solved the issue perfectly). Another small con was the absence of elevators - not a big problem for me but better make it clear for people reading this review. Overall, this guesthouse served its purpose well and was the perfect choice for a weekend in Madrid.

Staying here for two nights before heading to Sarria to start the El Camino hike. We have the four-bed family room with private shower. Basic room which does the intended purpose. Very friendly staff. Breakfast is good and the breakfast room staff is very nice and helpful. There are shops and fast-food restaurants (e.g. KFC and Subway, etc.) nearby. Estrecho Metro station is right around the corner. Overall a pleasant stay.

Well, I spent 5 nights in this accommodation and my impression is actually positive. + the accommodation is located in the renowned Salamanca district and everything looks tidy. A walk to Gran Via or Retiro Park: approx. 35 minutes The house is generally well maintained and there are a lot of entertainment options already on the ground floor - not least the roof with the pool (more an XXL bathtub, but with a nice atmosphere). There are also some vending machines on the ground floor where you can buy drinks (water 65 Cents) and sweets (M&Ms 1 Euro) at very moderate prices. The single rooms are actually quite nice, although not entirely new anymore. The room has - of course - a dormitory touch - but hey, that shouldn't come as a surprise when you book a RESA. The beds are a bit basic (looks like a folding bed) but the mattresses are good. The small kitchenette with refrigerator and microwave is very pleasant. Neutral: even if the accommodation is centrally located, it is between a few Metro stations and you always have to walk a bit. There are also a number of shops and cafes/restaurants in the area, but no supermarkets or drugstores (or I just didn't find them). What is perhaps also important: there are a lot of students living there, and although they are all very kind, if you are a little older - like me - you feel a bit strange. But hey, that can NOT be blamed on the accommodation if you book a student resistance first and then feel a bit ”inappropriate”. It's probably just me and I'm already just too old :-) And: as I booked I asked for a room on a higher floor, but was not given a definitive answer (like you get mostly in Hotels). I thought there might be an internal reservation system where such requests could be taken into account in advance - but no. In the end I got a room on a higher floor - but the process of requesting was a bit annoying. There were actually only a few things that were not so great: - The bathroom is tiny and the silicone is moldy, the old PVC floor has a 1980s charm and some things are slowly falling apart (like the desk base cabinet). And: there should be ”Do not disturb” signs like in hotels, because it's a little annoying when the otherwise very nice cleaning lady knocks at 8:30 on two days. All in all, the accommodation is absolutely recommendable and I would give it 8 or 8,5 out of 10. Would I(!) book it again: maybe not, but the only reason would be that I don't fit here or to this concept. For all the others: GO FOR IT! PS: even breakfast is included!

It is an old house, but very comfortable and well equipped. It is located 500 metres from the metro and the Chamartin train station where you can take the suburban and high speed train. It is also 300 metres from the metro. I offer pick up service from the airport or any other point as long as it is in the afternoon until 22 at night. The room is what you see in the photo. I can host another person in the same room with another mattress, if you need it. Ideal for people who want to travel to different parts of Spain and come back to Madrid in the same day or just stay in Madrid. I live in the house. I am Spanish, but I have lived many years in China and I speak, read and write Chinese. If you need it I can help you as a tourist informer as well.

Clean spacious apartment w full fridge. With children, the 2nd bathroom helpful for getting ready. Great location to walk to the museums. Grocery store right at the corner. Soft pillow not too bulky. Comfortable mattress not too soft. Full kitchen amenities (utensils, coffee maker, pots, colander, plates, bowls, toaster, etc). Shower hot w good pressure. Fluffy towels. Wi-Fi worked well in kitchen/living room, but not in the bedroom. Hiccup with the washer dryer not working on arrival. Repair man came to fix it the next day, but did not open the water valve and only reconnected the outlet tube to the drainage pipe loosely, resulting in water flooding the kitchen. We figured out the water valve and connected tubing more securely ourselves, but this should have been resolved prior to our arrival. Aritz at the main desk was friendly and very helpful on arrival.

Very central apartment! Unpretentious but with everything absolutely necessary. To highlight the cleanliness and that our beds were made daily. The heating worked very well and in no time you had the space warm. Quiet and fairly quiet building. The beds were quite comfortable and the pillows too. I'm only going to give two negative points. The first, even if the heating worked perfectly, we don't like to turn it on at night and we miss an extra blanket in the closet. Secondly, the pillows had no protector. The normal thing, and more so in a hotel/apartment, is to put a protective cover between the pillow itself and the outer cover. I did miss that since I find this lack of protection unpleasant. Leaving this aside to say that I would return with my eyes closed!

the pros: The hostal's (not a hotel, not a hostel) online photos do not do it justice. It is even better looking in person and you really get good value for your money especially because of its PRIME location. The room I stayed in was the right size for a solo traveler. The bathroom is VERY small. It is hard to maneuver in there even to get in the shower. This is not a big deal but something I think travelers should know ahead of time. Again, the best thing about this place besides the price is the location. The Cons: The front desk staff are very short with you and have snippy attitudes. The hospitality industry is one where it is 100% guaranteed that you will encounter tourists from all walks of life, countries, and backgrounds. So if this is something that bothered them I do not understand why they chose this profession. They seem annoyed even if you say good morning or hello to them in Spanish. You can't seem to win with these folks and I'm not a sensitive person, coming from NYC, but it is universal in the hospitality world that it is bad business to treat your customers like you don't want them there. If this is a deal-breaker for you, then this might not be the right place to stay. But for the affordability of the room, I dealt with it. Secondly, not too long after my first day, a smell that resembled raw sewage seeped through the hallway and persisted throughout the entirety of my stay. It was only in the hallway and front desk area but not in my room thank goodness. Overall, I still liked my stay enough to not be turned off by the negative side and I think it would be much improved once you hire more personable staff.

Extremely poor customer service! Their payment link sent by an email did not work, yet they kept blaming my credit card. My credit card was working fine everywhere else. Form Santiago de Compostela, I called over 20 times and have a phone record to prove. They don't even have a voice mail. In fact, it's obvious that they just refused to answer my call because when I had Spanish people call, they answered. They only answered twice both when I had Spanish people call. I emailed numerous times. They just kept blaming my credit card and told to me (a guy named Samuel) to go to the Santander Bank to make the payment, which I did but the bank (I have photos from the bank to prove it) said that they don't do services like processing a payment for their client. I wasted two days trying to make the payment and going to the bank in Santiago. In spite of my repeated emails and phone pleas, they refused to enter the credit card number manually or accept cash, insisting their payment link only. They were going to charge me the full price (non-refundable Booking.com) if I didn't show up so I could not book another property. I showed up at the apartment but they had no one there. I called, again no answer. When I had a neighbor called, they immediately answered, and then entered my card manually. Why didn't they do this before? I don't know perhaps they hoped that I wouldn't show up so they could charge me the full price without my occupancy. The place was freezing and the heater switch was not working, just blank. Again, nobody answered. After a freezing night, I emailed them saying that I will share this experience online, then finally they sent a maintenance man to fix the dead switch. I am a seasoned traveler who visits Spain annually. Never had I experienced such a terrible customer service. I paid 498 Euros for 4-night stay in the one-bedroom basement apartment, not cheap, but I wouldn't go back there even if they offer me a free stay. NOT EVER!

We stayed here for a few short days in Madrid. The location is very convenient, both in regarding to walking distances and metro stops and buses. Plaza del Sol and Plaza Mayor can be visited by foot or transit. As well there are shops and restaurants nearby. The hotel is on a higher floor within a secure building and entry is by key code (and buzzed in when you first arrive). It is nicely decorated and kept very clean. The bathroom has a shower with good water pressure and plenty of light. Our room was 2 twin beds with nightstands, lights, and conveniently placed plugs. There was also a desk, TV, and area to hang clothes. Our room looked out to the inner courtyard and was quiet. The air conditioning worked though we found we didn’t need it at that time of year with the ceiling fan sufficing. The staff were very kind, professional, and helpful especially since our flight was a very late night arrival. I would definitely stay here again.

We have stayed with my husband in this hostel, which is at the nearby hostel Veracruz for a week. Small staff and available 24 hours a day ....Even if a message about a problem emerged one night in hostal ...Fortunately without follow-up, I haven't received any answer. The room they reserved was small as well as the bathroom, but very clean and tastefully furnished, and the window was over the small indoor courtyard, so very silent but also very little light. I suggest that we provide the environment and the bathroom with some additional support bases (at least one bathroom would be inside the fact that most of the room box is closed at key and therefore not useable).

Resaltar sobretodo al señor de la recepción, amable, resolutivo y lleva el hostal de 10. Cuando regresemos a Madrid repetimos alojamiento. Ruth y Judith con cariño desde Barcelona y Girona.

The hotel was very comfortable and very comfortable. The rooms are very comfortable and the rooms are very comfortable. The room was not very big as it was individual, but enough for one.

Our family of three had a tiny room barely big enough for the beds and no space for luggage. The door didn't even close without having to push it past the bed. But the main reason for the 1 star is that our room was broken into our first night while we were out to dinner. The door frames are very cheaply made. Oddly, nothing was stolen but it was upsetting. We had to repeatedly ask the management to fix the door and nothing was done to make things right. We were told we couldn't be moved to another room until our last night there, even though the room next to us became available. There are no additional facilities - no common areas, no self-catering. Just a room and that's it. Some of the rooms seem to be of a good size but as stated ours was very small. There was no fridge. The hotel has security problems. It can be accessed by anyone through the back by entering through the main building doors which were never locked. There was even a ladder propped up near the back windows making it easy to climb up to access the unbarred upper windows. Repeated attempts to address this were met with indifference by the front desk staff and I was told to contact the owner. I emailed, called, and sent a whatsapp and never got a response.

It's not easy to find, it's not easy to find, I got out of the taxi and went around for a long time, but it turned out to be near where I got off. The hotel facilities are simple, the service is okay, relatively quiet, very close to the Royal Palace of Madrid and pedestrian streets.

I stayed 2 nights to which I added a third and I have to say everything perfect. Beginning with the kindness and courtesy of Manuela who filled me with attention. All staff was available and kind. I am no longer a kid and I found myself very well, the operation of the structure has been explained to me well, everything is kept clean and the visitors also have to say very educated and quiet. For what I read elsewhere of some criticism is true that there are not many bathrooms, but I have never had any problems to find it always free. Even the capsules are not as noisy as some describe, it depends on the guests even if it is obviously better.

Hotel with the necessary services. Sparano, but clean. Excellent location for metro (Ventas and Manuel Becerra), restaurants, services. Silent street. Not offering breakfast, but turning the corner there is the embarrassment of the choice. A friendly staff and able to meet the needs. Excellent communication also with whatsapp. Possibility of late check in up to 2am.
