The hostel is very well-maintained and the cleaning staff is carefully taking care to keep everything clean. It is located in a small village in the middle of Delhi, which was very authentic but I also had to get used to it a little bit as it was my first time in India. But in general the location is a great place to explore the city from. The staff was very helpful even though I checked in at 5am and helped me to book trains and plan my itinerary (cheers Ujjwal 😉)

A very conveniently located hostel near centrally placed Paharganj area which makes access to all landmark areas near central Delhi quite easy. I stayed here with my partner for three nights and it was the perfect place for our first few nights in India. The hostel feels very safe, the WiFi is excellent and there are the most adorable pugs!! The rooms are away from the streets so all of the noise from the Main Street is blocked out but you still have access to all the restaurants/ shops etc. Definitely get the airport transfer!!! We declined and ended up trapped in a travel agents for two hours while people tried to sell us tours. The taxi driver was all part of the scam and tried to scare us into leaving Delhi saying it was polluted and dangerous. He also told us he couldn’t drive in Paharganj due to Diwali traffic and someone from the hotel was coming to meet us. He even fake called ‘someone from the hotel’, so we trusted him. Obviously no one came to get us. We were taken to a place called the Tourist I centre near Connaught place- it had a blue front. Do not trust this place. A rep told us he was going to Kashmir the next day and that we should go with him. However, we saw the same *** outside the next day trying to scam someone else. When we realised there was no one coming to collect us we got in another taxi. On arrival at the hostel we saw the messages from the hostel ***ager who expressed lots of concern for our whereabouts and safety, which we really appreciated. This hotel is great as it helps people to report these scams! In a nutshell Kuldeeps is amazing and definitely get the transfer.

The *** at the check in counter on reception was unaware of my booking and was rude at check in and made me pay upfront. The photos posted online depict a very clean and modern place but upon entry you notice it is very run down and poorly ***aged. The next day I decided to check out and leave and they started de***ding payment again and when I explained that I already paid they wanted to know too ***y details regarding the same. If you want a peaceful and stress free stay in Delhi I would suggest you stay away from this place and chose a better hostel.

Everything about this place suited us perfectly. It just looks like a regular residential house from the outside but it has been carefully adapted to offer a lounge and bedrooms on each of the three floors. The staff are so helpful, they will fix you up with transport or whatever you need and they take a pride in giving a really good service. The food is very nice too. The area itself is perfect. Quiet leafy streets and a ten minute walk to a small village-type area around a square where there are good shops and restaurants. (Also an electrical shop where two lovely gents will sort your Indian Sim card if you need one. It's quite a procedure but they take care of it all if you say you are staying at Colonel's Retreat). It was too hot to spend much time outside when we were in Delhi but we were happy to relax in this homely place. Very highly recommended.

We discovered this hotel in a Time Out article and we were seduced by the fact that the article stressed that The hotel was located in a quiet street, not too far from a central neighborhood (a short distance by taxi from the Airport and Connaught's Place Metro Station). The hotel is very comfortable and the rooms are very comfortable and comfortable. For those who arrive from the airport, here is a little useful advice: the red line from the airport metro to the Airport metro station (the nearest station of CP Villa) is incredibly easy to navigate. So booked this hotel last minute through Agoda because the earlier booking got cancelled due to the wedding season demand. Location wise it is in the Mahipalpur by pass so no cabs or autos are available and you have to book an uber. The hotel claims to have parking but you have to park it behind in a lane with no security. On check in the payment was taken upfront which was ₹1629 inclusive of taxes and Agoda clearly showed that upto 2 guests were allowed. However once checked in they charged another ₹500 saying the rates were for single person. The room and linen were clean but very compact in size. There is no cupboard or almirah to keep luggage or clothes. No toiletries and toilet paper was provided only on request. Similarly kettle had to be asked for. They only provided two 500 ml bottles of drinking water and charged for the 2nd bottle. Honestly ₹2100 for one night in the middle of nowhere with no facilities is too expensive!

Rams Inn is definitely a home away from home. The property is in a narrow lane very near to Connaught Place(CP). The location is bang on for a tourist. It has all the restaurants, shopping centers, 2 metro stations, 1 bus station(Shivaji Stadium) a stone throw away. The place is so calm and quiet with a small garden. It's actually a heritage building converted to an inn. So rooms are quaint and fittings are old but functional. Decent for a family stay. We took deluxe rooms that came with garden views and balcony. There is no lift but that wasn't a problem for us. It has a small in-house kitchen that helps in case of kid's needs. Food cooked was really good. I have to thank the room service guys and Heera specially for their warm hospitality. I would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone for their stay in Delhi as you are right on CP. We loved our stay and definitely come back to Rams Inn if in case we visit Delhi again.
