Ulu Temburong National Park
Opening Hours: Open from 8:00am-6:00pm
Ticket Price: 5 BND
Recommended Length of Stay: 1-1 Days
Location: Ulu Temburong National Park, Brunei
After seeing enough of the scenery of Bandar Seri Begawan, we went straight to Temburun, Brunei's more primitive scenery. Ulu Temburong National Park is located in the east and covers an area of 500 square kilometers. The entire park is covered with lush tropical rainforest. From the capital, take a water taxi, cross the winding waterways, pass through the lush mangroves, arrive at the small town of Banga, then transfer to the Temburon River, take a long motor boat, go upstream and enter the park. Delve deep into the pristine rainforest of Ulu Temburun National Park. Rafting on the Temburon River, the bottom of the boat is surfing, and both sides are picturesque. The branches that depended on the water drifted wildly, occasionally touching the top of the head. Except for the blue sky in front of me, all I see are these shades of green, strong and lush.

There are 30 stilt house villages on both sides of the Brunei River, which are full of rural atmosphere and are known as Aier Water Village. There are about 32,000 people living here, almost all of them continue the traditional way of life. If you feel lonely in Brunei because it is too quiet, you can take a walk in the water village and enter the homes of the water village residents to experience their daily life. Life here is full of fun, and after more than 5 centuries, the floating city still retains its former style. It is even more interesting to visit the water village in the evening. Standing on the shore and watching the water village on the Brunei River, the stars meander for 8 kilometers, forming a fire tree and the Milky Way. If you take a yacht along the Brunei River to the backyard of the palace, the scenery on both sides of the river is even more charming. The harbor view restaurant on the shore is also an ideal place to watch the night view of the water village. Sitting in the semicircular restaurant facing the water village, the panoramic view of the water village is in front of you.

pinkpig: Absolutely must visit when in the capital of Brunei! Take a cheap $1/way boat ride from mainland to the water village and just roam around exploring the mosque and several cute stalls and houses. There are also many boat tours available if you want to travel further down the river to see some wild monkeys and the royal palace.. #gowithfelix
Hermansyah 1107: Initially, Kampong Ayer was founded by the people of Brunei Darussalam, who at that time did not bother to clear the forest because the terrain was difficult and hilly. Finally they decided to build houses on the water with wooden pillars as the foundation and support the house.
