There are all kinds of marine life in the Ocean Park, there are all kinds of precious fish that are rarely seen in ordinary times, and there is also a special shark hall to display such rare creatures. The water source of the marine aquarium's filtered water comes from Manila Bay, and it has been treated with a special process in order to ensure that the water quality is suitable for the survival of marine life. It has an educational activity area and is a room with unique features for special events and shark and stingray viewing.

Reviews from Real Guests:

Raine G: One of the best ocean parks in Asia whose extensive aquarium exhibits reflects the wide diversity of Philippine seas. Displays include tropical fish endemic to the region as well as some freshwater fish found in the Amazon river. Kids would love the jellyfish tanks lit up with neon lights, as well as the wading pools where you can touch and feel starfishes and seashells. The penguins and sea lions are a big favorite too because these are interactive features. They have something new every so often, and its worth coming back for over and over again.

ping: This is a place you must come to Manila. Tickets to the Manila Ocean Park will have many options. Choose the more places you want to visit. The price of the ticket will be relatively high. So you have to do enough homework before coming here. Not just choose all the tours. Because you have to see it all in one day. Not very likely. Animal show shows such as sea lions are also time-consuming. The park plans a series of activities. Also attracts many tourists to go. A good attraction to visit once and again.

Trip.com User: we need not travel far frommanila have an adventure. Located in the heart of Old Manila, Intramuros Manila (“within the walls” when translated literally from Spanish) is one of the Philippines’ biggest cultural and historical landmarks. The Walled City and its famous citadel Fort Santiago were the seat of government during the Spanish colonial period. Now, it is still very much a living, breathing city with universities, government offices, banks, hotels, and restaurants—and it is well worth the visit. The best part is you can enjoy most parts of Intramuros Manila without breaking the bank!

It's a bit long while walking so prepare your feet and wear comfortable shoes and clothes. You can also rent a rickshaw or bike so you can tour the entire Intramuros. Founded in 1571, St. Augustine Church is the oldest stone church in the Philippines, and is listed in the World Cultural Heritage List as a representative of the Baroque church. Located in the city center, the church is a symbol of Philippine history. At the beginning, the church was built with bamboo, coconut leaves and mud, but it was destroyed by fire and rebuilt in 1599. The Church of St. Augustine survived five disasters and two world wars, which is considered by many to be a miracle. The reliefs in the church are meticulous and realistic, and there are precious religious paintings in the collection; the stained glass refracts sunlight, which brings out the elegance of the church. The top floor of the choir at the top of the church overlooks the church. Inside is the St. Augustine Museum, a private museum managed by Friar Tober, displaying 26 icons, antiques, and more. Several Filipino dignitaries are buried in the basement. At the same time, the St. Augustine Museum exhibits colonial religious art, priests' clothes, and wood carvings reflecting the 1614 choir.

The roof is made of coconut boards, the pillars are made of coconut tree trunks, the walls are made of "coconut bricks" made of wool fibers and cement from coconut shells, and the gate is inlaid with geometric patterns composed of more than 4,000 coconut shells. There are countless coconut products in the palace. The dining room has a 36-foot dining table inlaid with 47,000 pieces of coconut shells of various shapes. Reviews from Real Guests:

Trip.com User: I visited this sight on a business trip to Manila. Check with your hotel about cost of admission, times, and how to get their. Used as a guest house for official visitors to the Phillapines, it is said to be made entirely out of products of the cocanut palm. Brings back memories of the days of Imelda Marcos and her geusts such as Muammar al-Gaddafi, Brooke Shields and George Hamilton. Definitely weird but worth a visit when in Manila.

Manila Cathedral

Opening Hours: Open from 7:00am-5:00pm

Ticket Price: Free

Recommended Length of Stay: 1-2 Hours

Location: Cabildo, 132 Beaterio St, Intramuros, Manila

The Manila Cathedral was built in 1581 near the Citadel of Santiago and is the main building of the Catholic Archdiocese of Manila. The church has experienced constant damage from typhoons, earthquakes and wars, and the building is now rebuilt for the sixth time. The weather-beaten Romanesque architecture and elegant dome are quaint. In front of the church is the Plaza de Roma, which used to be the bullring, and next to it is the ruins of the city hall. The carriage will pass by the church from time to time, adding a strong sense of simplicity. Outside the church, the cathedral has a magnificent ornate appearance. Three huge arches are located above the steps. There are six white statues of believers on the front wall, and two lovely little angels and a solemn cross are carved on the top. Before coming to the arch, look carefully, and there are fine patterns carved on the top of the progressive door. Inside the church Walking into the church, the spacious space and golden tones are very grand. A gilded altar, a pipe organ with 4,500 sound pipes, and rosette-shaped windows with delicate stained glass are all worth admiring. There are also three chapels next to the cathedral, whose mosaics are very beautiful. Religious activities Manila Cathedral has regular religious activities such as mass, confession, baptism, etc. If it is just in time, you can watch it quietly from a distance. Wedding services are also provided here, so it is common to encounter newlyweds holding weddings or taking wedding photos here.

Tell your story in the comments 👇

Trip.com User: Manila Cathedral is more than 400 years old, but it is still very delicate and chronological, although it is a post-World War II reconstruction version. I believe if I'm into art or if I'm into exotic feelings like this, I'm here to spend an hour in the church, waddling and sitting in a chair for a moment of peace. It was a special feeling for me, not Catholic or Christian, and it was my first experience sitting in a church with some travelers (although most people were sitting on their cell phones). Come here and recommend everyone to feel the current atmosphere, there is also a colored collage glass inside. The church is very dark and just contrasts with the thick baroque window, exquisite and charming and strong religious. It is very solemn at the moment.

Day 6 | Afternoon

Now we come to another great highlight in the city: Intramuros.

Intramuros

Opening Hours: Open from 8:00am-6:00pm

Ticket Price: Free

Recommended Length of Stay: 0.5-1 Days

Location: Bonifacio Dr & Padre Burgos St, Manila Luzon Philippines

Located on the banks of the Pasig River, Intramuros is the old site of Manila and the ancient city district of Manila. The city is surrounded by trenches and medieval walls with 7 gates. There are the governor's residence and 12 churches in the city. You can experience the city by taking an ancient carriage shuttle on the streets. Here you will enjoy the elegance of Spain as it preserves the architectural features of ancient times. There are many attractions to visit, including Manila Cathedral, Casa Manila Museum, St. Augustine Church, Santiago Castle and many more.

Reviews from Real Guests:

Trip.com User: Intramuros (La Ciudad Murada/ The Walled City) was capital of the entire archipelago during the 300-year rule of the Spaniards. Housing the provincial houses of the major religious orders, their schools, and the palaces of the civil government as well as large warehouses for Spanish trade goods and military ammunition, Intramuros was the center of the humongous Spanish Empire in Asia. If there is one sole original structure within Intramuros, it is none other than San Agustín Church, the only connection of any person to the history, art and culture of pre-War Intramuros. It is an exquisite repository of local Baroque designs and fixtures. Built in 1581, it is a UNESCO heritage site. If there is one museum in Intramuros you must visit, it is this one. Inaugurated in 1975 by the former Principe de Asturias (eventually King) Juan Carlos de Borbon and former Princess Sofía, it holds a vast collection of Augustinian and ecclestiastical arts and artifacts saved through the years. The former monastery gives visitors a veritable feel of the religious life in one of Intramuros’ seven convents, with its manicured gardens and patios, stone staircase and cloister or clausura lined with religious paintings. Plaza San Luis Complex. A reconstructed compound, it resembles a Spanish colonial residential enclave. Entering it gives you a semblance of what it was like to enter the mansions of pre-War Intramuros. Currently, it houses souvenir shops and Barbara’s, one of a few dining options in Intramuros. Although the Barbara’s in the upper floor is quite formal in set-up, you can enjoy a more relaxed dining experience at the first floor, surrounded by plants and white-washed stone walls. Sometimes, rondalla music would accompany you here. Manila Cathedral. Destroyed during the Liberation of Manila in 1945, the current building was rebuilt in 1958 through the efforts of the first Filipino Cardinal, Archbishop Rufino Cardinal Santos.

JayHalagoNear: Plaza Roma, Intramuros, Manila The Book Stop is back at Plaza Roma (in front of Manila Cathedral) in Intramuros, Manila!
