The hotel breakfast is toast, bacon, yogurt, eggs, and coffee. There are no vegetables and the air conditioner is a little loud. The bathroom is exhausted, and there will be mosquitoes, bed pillows are comfortable, the room has alcohol handrub for disinfecting hands, toothbrushes and slippers are not provided, there is water and coffee supply in the lobby, there is no kettle in the room, and you can sleep by listening to the sound of the waves at night. Had a fantastic stay at the Cortsland Hotel. I stayed there for two nights at the beginning and end of my holiday for easy transfers to the airport. The first room I stayed in had a patio with seating. Rooms have ironing board and iron. Kettle with teas, coffee etc. The room was a fantastic size and bed was comfortable. The air conditioning was superb. The second room I stayed in had a kitchen that was accessed through glass sliding doors. Washing up liquid supplied. Extensive range of crockery and utensils. This room was massive. The hotel is immaculate. Pool is large with seating and comfortable loungers. I had this area to myself during my stay. All hotel staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. On arrival I was too late for dinner. Emily ordered me a pizza and drove me to collect this. I only ate breakfast here. It was a buffet breakfast and had fruit, orange juice, cereals, teas and coffee on offer. The hot choices included scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon and herb potatoes. There is a bar near the hotel offering food and drinks that can be accessed from the back gate of the hotel. The gardens are well maintained and extensive. I also ran out of cigarettes during my final stay. Hazel, the hotel owner, personally drove me to the supermarket to buy these. Shout out to Donny and Kella who made me feel welcome. I stayed here myself and felt incredibly safe. The bar was not open but drinks could be ordered at the reception. I would highly recommend this hotel. Customer service was second to none.

Really enjoyed staying a couple of nights at Connie's whilst waiting for our delayed flight. The staff are friendly and really helpful- thanks again to Brittany who was able to accommodate our ever changing situation. The room lives up to the name, it's super comfortable, well air conditioned, cleaned to high standards. The amenities provided in the room are good and there are takeaway shops and grocery shops within walking distance. I would highly recommend!

The location of this guesthouse is perfect as a base in Antigua, or even to wander around St Johns day or night. There are two routes to walk into town. 15min walk down past the gas station will take you to the supermarket, markets and West bus station, and 15mins heading right will take you to the port, gift shops and food outlets. The guesthouse is on a residential street in a residential area, and make no mistake it is a very safe and friendly area! It can be noisy with the wildlife ( dogs, roosters and tree frogs) and noise from passing cars with music blasting out day and night, but welcome to Antigua where you will hear this everywhere, and it just adds to the experience! Prince is the most hard working Man we have met in a guesthouse setting! Prince is constantly looking at ways to improve the guest experience and after staying there for a month, we are in a position to say that he genuinely cares for his guests and chases people constantly to sort out repairs, and limit inconvenience to people. The guesthouse is spotlessly clean thanks to Prince and his housekeeper Miss Jacobs. We are happy to call them friends after the care we have received. Prince will arrange transport and advise/help book trips etc. Set your expectations to the fact that you are staying at a guesthouse where other guests come and go, you will have use of the communal kitchen and outside space, but will have your own private bathroom facilities. We used this setting as a way to meet new people and listen to their life experiences from all walks of life and from many different countries. We absolutely without a doubt will stay with Prince when we next visit Antigua. Thanks for the opportunity to meet you and Miss Jacobs.

I am a world traveler and have stayed in many resorts and by far this has been the worst experience ever. Here are the incidents throughout my stay at Royalton Chic Antiqua. (1) I paid for ocean view but was put in a pool view, (2) the safe and door stop working due to low batteries, so I had to wait to retrieve my valuables and stand outside in the heat until they came and let me in, (3) There was no room service on the second day with trash running over and no towels. It was around 1:00am when I got to my room, so I just borrow towels from my girlfriend's room few doors down. (4) After I complained, they cleaned the room, but there were leaked ink marks on bed covers, dresser, walls, front door and my backpack, decorative pillows for bed were left on the floor. After reporting these incidents to the manager (Makeba) I was told she would reach out to upper management and get back to me but did not. Upon on check out I spoke to another manager (Alton) and requested adjustment to my bill for wasting hours of my vacation time dealing with multiple issues and he promise me he would refund a day. I have yet to see any adjustment. I sent email to reservation department, no answer. My reservation confirmation number is 41718SE010367, my expectation is for Royalton Chic Management team to honor what was promised. If not, I will be reaching out to the general manager. while I understand issues may arise during vacation, but not throughout the entire stay...totally unacceptable.

Good day, I hope everyone reading this is in good health, let me start by saying when i got to the hotel and checked in, it was then disclosed to me the hotel is under renovations and the elevator is not working! After climbing three flight of stairs got to room which was clean and well made, there was two towels and one wash cloth for two people, fine. Went back down to front desk to ask questions and was met by Carlos that seemed more occupied with a security issue and talking on his phone on whattsap. I asked this gentleman if there was any water available for sale, his response was NAH IT HAVE ALL KIND OF PLACE OUTSIDE OPEN YOU CAN BUY WATER OUT THERE!! Fine. Told them tv is not working the next morning and can i have fresh towels with Two wash cloths, on my return from meetings at 1:30 pm that was not done. I walked back down the 3 flight of stairs and made requests again, also told the front desk personnel i was going to get a quick lunch and could this be completed before my wife gets back from her meeting, i was assured it would be done. 2 hours later on return to the room the ac was turned off and the tv was still not working, so i called the front desk to complain yet again, sat on porch to have lunch ( this is after turning ac back on ) for about half an hour before my wife went inside and told me be careful when you come inside the room is FLOODING!!! and to my surprise to room was flooding from the ac! I have video proof of my wife with the house keepers mop and bucket trying to save the day. I immediately went back down to the front desk to show the staff the video, and actually raised my voice when Carlos now asked, DO YOU NEED SOME ASSISTANCE ??????? I ASKED REALLY !!!!!!! I been screaming that from last night!!!! Then the angel of mercy came to my assistance, Latoya!!! This young lady went above and beyond to accommodate us, She even went out of her way to take us to our new hotel ( The Royalton ) which was an amazing experience. This hotel will lose a great asset if this young lady was to leave. All in all I would not recommend this GOVERNMENT MANAGED HOTEL to anyone until all major renovations in what could be an amazing hotel. Regards Lincoln Adams
