Datong Hotels with Gym

It was a very satisfying stay. The service is excellent, and the staff are very helpful and friendly. Their breakfast buffet is diverse and plentiful. The location is perfect for all the city sights. I'd definitely stay there again.

Environment: The room is clean and tidy, and the check-in experience is very good. The service is thoughtful and enthusiastic. The mineral water in the room is delicious. When we checked out, we took the remaining water with us. The breakfast is also delicious, with freshly made knife-cut noodles and millet porridge. I drank three bowls in a row. It is also very convenient to travel, whether by car or by taxi, but it is quiet in the bustling city. You can walk to the ancient city by turning right. This kind of national hotel is comfortable and I will stay here next time I come to Datong.

When we arrived we were given the wrong room in B tower with single beds, we had to go back downstairs and show the booking again to request the correct double room in A tower. The rooms and amenities are old, and the fridge is broken. I called reception who told me to bring any items I want to cool down to the reception and use their fridge, when I asked if we can swap the broken fridge for a working fridge, they said all of the fridges are like this. They won't admit the fridges are all broken, but all of the fridges in the hotel are warm and won't make your food / beverages cold. The hotel is in dire need of an upgrade, and they need to replace the fridges.

I loved this hotel. It has an old-fashioned charm that made me feel right at home. My room was very large, comfortable, and well-equipped. All of the staff and service people were extremely courteous from start to finish. The Chinese restaurant on the 7th floor has a great choice of dishes! Highly recommended, and excellent value for money. A great base for exploring the sights around Datong.

I have stayed in so many hotels, both cheap and expensive, but I have never encountered a leaking water pipe in the room. The water supply was cut off in the middle of taking a shower. It was speechless. Although the staff actively solved the problem every time, Weidu is considered a mid-to-high-end hotel in Datong. Why is there so many problems with the infrastructure? But to be honest, the hotel bedding is very comfortable and the knife-cut noodles for breakfast are delicious. But can the room facilities be maintained?

I like this kind of old hotel with a sense of age. The floor decoration is very gorgeous. The service attitude of the lobby staff is very good. The breakfast is rich and the dinner is also delicious. I highly recommend the smoked chicken. The only regret is that the shower head for rain is fixed.

After struggling with several hotels, I finally chose the Garden. It turns out that it is really good! First of all, the location is excellent. Located in the ancient city, 200 meters away is the popular Zi Ni Restaurant, 250 meters away is Long Ju Xiang, about 400 meters away is Jin Xi Dao, and about 1000 is Feng Lin Ge (the above are all popular and delicious restaurants, with queues ranging from 30min to 2h). Therefore, it is recommended that if you arrive in the afternoon, you can really queue up to get a number and then check in at the hotel. Secondly, the service attitude of the service staff is excellent. Everyone has a smile on their face. They greet each other at the meeting and say hello, good morning! It is very warm to live here. In the evening, someone will send the Datong Evening News and crispy shark snacks to each room. In today's less developed paper media, such a simple evening greeting is really attentive. Finally, the most important thing is of course the famous breakfast. There are a full range of varieties, both Chinese and Western, knife-cut noodles, mutton offal noodles, and fried eggs are all excellent and delicious! There will be service staff to guide the seat, serve coffee, etc. The service is great! When you come to Datong, you can really live in a garden, it will definitely be worth the trip.

Wenda and all of her colleagues were wonderful! English is spoken here. Fantastic service, friendly, helpful, very clean and spacious rooms, really nice view over the river and at night with all of the lights. Breakfast is good, the facilities are clean and presentable. The room was quiet and the window can be opened if you want fresh air or to cool down the room a bit, the ac works too to cool it down in winter but that’s recirculated air with some people smoking in non-smoking rooms (typical). Our room did not smell which was great and although we had neighbours we could not hear them, so good for light sleepers. Only downside is the bed is firm. Quick 10 minute didi to the ancient city, malls, delicious lunch and food places. The hotel organised a driver to take us to the hanging temple, yungang grottoes and then to a delicious local restaurant very affordable, helpful, reliable and kind driver (WeChat: 永恒). Also recommend going to the art gallery and museum only 10 mins away. It’s a good location.

Facilities: The facilities are very complete. The room card and electricity card are also separated. There will be no power in the room after taking out the room card. This is very convenient. If you order takeout in the middle of the night, the robot can deliver it to the door to avoid embarrassment~ Hygiene: very clean Environment: Located in a relatively prosperous location in Datong, you can order a lot of takeaways nearby, and it’s very convenient to go anywhere. Service: Very considerate. Warm water will be prepared to drink on the way when checking out. There is also a laundry service, which will be delivered to the room after drying. This is the most satisfying hotel I have stayed in.

The location is very good. I stayed in another homestay on the list the day before. I was not satisfied and moved to Yunzhong. Then I found that the location is much better. The bell tower and drum tower are around. It is very convenient for dining and sightseeing. It is the fireworks we want. But the inn is very quiet, and there is no noise to affect the rest. The service is very thoughtful, and every staff is very kind. We ordered fruit for takeout. Not only did they put it in the refrigerator for us, but they also told us that the inn has its own watermelon. If you want to eat it, just tell them. We changed the ticket temporarily, and they helped us contact the car to the high-speed rail station at 2:30 in the morning. The most touching thing is that the inn also arranged a brother to send my daughter to the car waiting on the street outside. When the door opened at 2:20am, the brother was sitting quietly in the yard waiting, getting up earlier than us. I am really grateful. The business car of the inn feels bigger than the general business car, and the master who took us to the airport is also very polite. Helped us upgrade the room, and it was not crowded after adding a bed, and there was a smart toilet. The courtyard with several entrances is very tasteful, but it’s a pity that I didn’t have time to take a closer look. We also gave local souvenirs before leaving. We spent 9 days in Shanxi and this was the most satisfying homestay.
