Best Five Star Hotels in Datong

It was a very satisfying stay. The service is excellent, and the staff are very helpful and friendly. Their breakfast buffet is diverse and plentiful. The location is perfect for all the city sights. I'd definitely stay there again.

Environment: The room is clean and tidy, and the check-in experience is very good. The service is thoughtful and enthusiastic. The mineral water in the room is delicious. When we checked out, we took the remaining water with us. The breakfast is also delicious, with freshly made knife-cut noodles and millet porridge. I drank three bowls in a row. It is also very convenient to travel, whether by car or by taxi, but it is quiet in the bustling city. You can walk to the ancient city by turning right. This kind of national hotel is comfortable and I will stay here next time I come to Datong.

When we arrived we were given the wrong room in B tower with single beds, we had to go back downstairs and show the booking again to request the correct double room in A tower. The rooms and amenities are old, and the fridge is broken. I called reception who told me to bring any items I want to cool down to the reception and use their fridge, when I asked if we can swap the broken fridge for a working fridge, they said all of the fridges are like this. They won't admit the fridges are all broken, but all of the fridges in the hotel are warm and won't make your food / beverages cold. The hotel is in dire need of an upgrade, and they need to replace the fridges.

We spent two wonderful nights at Yungang Hotel in Datong. First of all, our deepest gratitude to Yang wen yuan - 杨文元. When booking from Europe, we did not realise correctly the time required to get to the caves and to the hanging monastery (a must view when in Datong). We thought that by using public transport we could manage to do both in a short period of time. So wrong! We arrived and Yang wen yuan - 杨文元 reassured us and in less than 30 minutes he was able to help and book for us a private car for the next day. He made our stay unforgettable. Thanks a lot from both of us if you are reading ! Plus, this hotel is wonderful : super new, technological and the staff is super kind (from the ones in the lobby to the ones in the restaurant/cafeteria). Breakfast is amazing. You can have everything, freshly made for you.

The hotel environment is very good, the decoration in the room is great, the facilities are very complete, and the hotel service is especially worth mentioning. I think it is not inferior to international five-star hotels. The waiters are very nice. When I returned to the hotel at 1 o'clock in the evening, I saw security personnel patrolling. Because there were many people in our group, many things were left in different rooms of the hotel when we left (including cash). Hotel staff Hailan and Xiaoyu called us immediately and contacted SF Express to help us mail it home. When I left the hotel in the morning, I found that all the car wipers had been lifted by the staff to prevent them from freezing due to snow. It was very considerate! ! ! Next time I come to Datong, I will stay again!

The hotel is located in a good location near shops Nd the old town sights. The rooms are large and the service on the executive floor was excellent, fresh fruit everyday not just once. The restaurant and room service are open lunch and diner time only, no late meals. Extensive breakfast is available. There is a bar but did not see many users. Did not see any gym or pool but it is possible I missed them. The bed was very comfortable and the high speed station (less than 2 hours to Beijng) is about 30 minutes away by taxi. Very enjoyable would revisit.

The location is very good. I stayed in another homestay on the list the day before. I was not satisfied and moved to Yunzhong. Then I found that the location is much better. The bell tower and drum tower are around. It is very convenient for dining and sightseeing. It is the fireworks we want. But the inn is very quiet, and there is no noise to affect the rest. The service is very thoughtful, and every staff is very kind. We ordered fruit for takeout. Not only did they put it in the refrigerator for us, but they also told us that the inn has its own watermelon. If you want to eat it, just tell them. We changed the ticket temporarily, and they helped us contact the car to the high-speed rail station at 2:30 in the morning. The most touching thing is that the inn also arranged a brother to send my daughter to the car waiting on the street outside. When the door opened at 2:20am, the brother was sitting quietly in the yard waiting, getting up earlier than us. I am really grateful. The business car of the inn feels bigger than the general business car, and the master who took us to the airport is also very polite. Helped us upgrade the room, and it was not crowded after adding a bed, and there was a smart toilet. The courtyard with several entrances is very tasteful, but it’s a pity that I didn’t have time to take a closer look. We also gave local souvenirs before leaving. We spent 9 days in Shanxi and this was the most satisfying homestay.

1. The hotel is in a good location with a good surrounding environment. It is more than 10 kilometers away from the ancient city. 2. Parking is convenient, and there is a hotel-specific parking lot. 3. The scale is large. The hotel is a separate building with 27 floors. One elevator has a large shake! ! 4. The lobby is quite grand. A small part of it is used for wedding photography. Guests can rest. There is a sofa, but it is not easy to find. It is hidden behind a wall. Some comments say that you can't sit on it. I specifically looked for a place to sit, but it is not easy to find. 5. The room is very large, the bathroom is very large, the facilities are average, and the TV is very small, about 40 inches (not quite accurate). The carpet is a geometric pattern, which is very dazzling. I personally don't like it. It depends on the person! The room is not well lit. There is a very weird table lamp on the table. It is not very bright and it doesn't look good as a decoration🤭🤭 6. The free bathing project feels like a marketing method. I didn't go to it after reading the comments! 7. The breakfast is rich, with many varieties and tastes good. The mutton offal powder has a bit of mutton smell, and the knife-cut noodles are OK!

Double bath tickets (excluding towels, bath towels), hotel room fruit and yogurt are presented every day, no requirements are also actively cleaned, this time is recommended by my colleague, we choose to stay for two nights, the only hotel in Datong Facilities: very new and very stylish Service: Warm service, especially the staff of Gu Xin's manager on duty, Xiao Cao Xiaolin. Hotel cost-effective, convenient parking, recommended. Breakfast is delicious and rich!

Staff: definitely the top reason to stay here, they made our stay unforgettable and went the extra mile to help us out organize our excursions, thanks for everything!
