Turtles Nest Bahamas

I was travelling solo for a few days in Exuma and couldn’t have found a better place to stay! Mark and Beatrice were incredible hosts. Full of information, recommendations, tips and stories as well as so welcoming in their stunning home, which had brilliantly themed rooms and the other guests seemed really friendly too. The breakfast was delicious and they helped sort taxis/pick ups for me. I walked to Hoopers Bay where the turtles were as it was so close. I would highly recommend staying here to anyone travelling, be it solo, couple or family.

My wife did a ton of research on where to stay on Exuma and we decided on Turtles Nest. As other people have said, the place is fantastic and you couldn't ask for better hosts than Mark and Beatrice -- they are wonderful people. This was our first time on Exuma, and having them right there to ask questions and help with different things was really helpful. Mark also took us to his favorite snorkeling spot one afternoon (and took family pictures for us one evening on Jolly Hall beach). We stayed in the 'apartment' (with full kitchen) and a couple of the individual rooms for our older teenagers, and it worked out better than we had hoped. Everything was clean and nice -- comfortable beds -- well stocked kitchen -- really nice towels -- air conditioning worked well (those are the things that come to mind). We wanted to go to alot of the different beaches (so many to see) and this location was perfect with Hooper's Bay and Jolly Hall beaches being right there (5-10 minutes away). The road to get to their place is a bit rough, but every road on Exuma is like that, besides Queens Highway -- you just have to take it slow. After a couple of days you get good at avoiding potholes. I'd highly recommend staying at Turtles Nest. If you go, I would also recommend making up a batch of frozen pina coladas one afternoon and have Mark tell you some of his stories. Be sure to ask him about his mom and the octopus -- it's hilarious.

A little paradise we’re you’re treated as family and we’re you feel like home. Everything was as perfect as it seemed online. Beatrice and Mark are the most thoughtful host, they provided us with all the information we needed, helped us with the taxi, car renting, groceries and even lent a kayak and diving equipment. The apartment is really comfortable, clean and kitchen contains everything you need. The balcony is perfect to eat our meals or drink a coffe. The location is good. They went way beyond to make our stay comfortable and memorable. Thanks for everything Beatrice and Mark. Oh, and Sasha, she is the best company. ☺️

Mark and Beatrice are the most amazing hosts you could ask for. They made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived and they are very knowledgeable about the island and can help you plan your activities. Their bed and breakfast is absolutely beautiful. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with all the amenities you need for a relaxing stay. Sascha, their dog, is so friendly and loves to play with guests. Mark and Beatrice went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. They showed us around the island, took us shopping, and even went snorkeling with us. They also cooked us some delicious meals. They truly have the motto "come as a friend and leave as family" down to a science. We had such a wonderful time at Mark and Beatrice's B&B. We would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and unforgettable vacation in the Bahamas.
