Wifi is detectable in the room but not acceptable at all. Had to connect in the lobby only.
If you depend highly on hotel wifi from your room please check carefully with the hotel otherwise I don't recommend this for your stay.
Other than that is okay.

Do not stay here!! One night max then floor about for much better hotel for good price. No English. Smoke smell in non smoking room. Heat ok shower head calcified but hot water ok. Fridge growing mould. Breakfast a joke you are better buying bread and fruit from outside front door. Close to huge new mosque but you are in old business part of town. Smell from kebab shop next door and walls between rooms paper thin. Hear every cough sneeze etc.

Very pleasant hotel right in the middle of town and walkable to just about everywhere. Parking on the street, not dedicated to the hotel. Nice breakfast terrace upstairs. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Location is ok, the hotel is located in the city centre, walking distance ~15-20 minutes to Kars Castle. A few small supermarkets and local market nearby. The hotel was kind of empty when we were there. We booked a triple economy room. To be honest Room design seem old fashion and needs a makeover. Room is generally clean and bed was comfortable. There is a kettle in the room but bottled water is not provided. There's a bidet spray for my fellow bidet users. Breakfast was limited but it was understandable as there were only a handful of guest around. The same male staff was taking care of the reception counter the entire 2 nights/3 days we were there. He spoke English fairly and was very helpful. He was able to arrange a taxi to and from Ani and the train station for us. There were no tours by the hotel at that time.
