AAnonymous UserFabulous stay. Love the quiet, serene ambience although there are sounds of dogs and animals which is common in nature. The host, Mr Zhang is so warm and helpful that we felt treated like old friends coming for a visit. There is a dog and many cats in the house but non threatening. They make themselves scarce, somehow if guests are afraid of them.
As the BnB is up on the mountain, it’s easier to get around if there a car. The host goes out of his way to help and provide advice on where to go and how to get there. Perfect host!
The only room with twin beds is the family room for four. The other room is spacious to with king or queen beds.
A good place for a retreat.

GGL64Hotel provides free afternoon tea and snacks for guests, as well as supper. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location is good, within walking distance to the night market. The hotel emailed us as we had left some items in our rooms while hurriedly packing our bags. My sister and I were caught in the earthquake on 0403. Thanks to the professional front desk agents, we were able to get to the train station in hope of catching an afternoon train back to Taipei. Unfortunately, after waiting for about 3 hours, we were informed that all trains were cancelled. Our guide, Mason, who took us on the Taroko gorge tour the day before, was super super kind and helpful who went out of his way to rent a car and drove all 7 of us from the tour group to Kaohshiung. We spent the night there before taking the hsr to Taipei. Mason is truly exceptional, authentic and passionate. We are really grateful to Mason. Indeed, we are blessed to have met kind hearted souls in Hualien. Our thoughts and prayers are with the people of Hualien, Taiwan.

GGuest UserPerfectly located across from the train station. Bus station is also only a 3 minute walk. Staff was very nice and helpful. Surprisingly they have a simple yet efficient breakfast service to start your day. I don't eat ham but they had cheese, peanut butter, butter and jam selection. The lady who is in charge of breakfast was working very hard. She was constantly replenishing items for breakfast.
I stayed in a dormitory room. The beds were very comfortable. I stayed for one night. The toilet and shower are inside the room of 4 beds. So if you are staying more than 1 day if you are lucky to have quiet roommates. It may not be easy. If I have a suggestion that would be alcohol spray and room spray since 4 people can use the toilet at any time.
Overall, I recommend the WOW hostel Hualien. Their art work on the floors and decorations are very nice.

GGuest UserThe location is very convenient. It takes 20 minutes to walk to Xinxin Noodle House and 5 minutes to Dongdaemun Night Market. There is no breakfast attached to the B&B, but there are many delicious restaurants nearby.
If you arrive early in the afternoon, you can park in the parking lot of Dongdaemun Night Market (free)
The dog in the B&B is very cute and coquettish. I stayed for another 2 nights. The boss reminded me that there is a washing machine upstairs that you can use for free. It dried in the sun overnight. It is a different washing machine than the one used to clean the bed sheets in the room. This is my second time here. I will consider this place next time!

GGuest UserYanbo Hotel Hualien is a good hotel: it has a window with a good view, a bathtub (high ceiling), drinks in the small refrigerator, many lights, mirrors everywhere, especially makeup mirrors, a TV with projector, and high-end Bath products (valvola Faramo), pick-up service, some ”so special” emphasis, such as bedding, environmentally friendly ideas, etc.
It’s a pity that I didn’t experience the sauna because I was too tired555
I love Yanbo. I will stay here next time I come to Hualien.

BBenjaminHotel is good relative to price. Nothing fancy but clean enough, good location in close proximity to station. Room has all you need- a bed, a fridge, bathroom with shower and toilet. The room was clean, though I found a strand of hair on the tap. There is tea and coffee downstairs and maybe sometimes they put snacks but not when I stayed but I literally stayed for one night. Overall I think it's a good base if you are going to to a Taroko or explore Hualien.

天天下美景悠遊The design of this hotel is very creative and unique in the industry. It is based on foreign prisons. It is a trendy creative design. The design is mainly for comfort and use, and it cannot be the same as ordinary hotels. . Therefore, the price is actually the main one, and it is worth less than 1,000 yuan. . The check-in is designed automatically, and the service is contacted by telephone or Line, and everything is self-service. . I have never seen any service staff in the hotel since I entered and exited, which is really a unique feature.

@@travel_with_the_sunIt's clean, it's close to the train station, where you can rent a scooter to explore Taroko National Park, also have a gas station next door to refill your scooter and you are next to the main road to go to the National Park. There is enough stuff to cook yourself something. Communication with the landlord on self check-in went well and I could check-in earlier because my bed was free, actually I was the only guest in the dorm on my first of two nights.
It was calm and the entire hostel & bathroom was very clean. I liked, that you can buy razors, one-way towels, toothbrush kit for a small fee, even if I didn't need it.
The only downside, and that's why I gave it -3 stars in amenity was, that the mattress was so hard, it felt like sleeping on the floor. The room had a bit of strange moisture smell, but I could get used to it quickly. If there would be a thicker, less hard mattress, that place would get total points.
On the back door / balcony you have a nice view of the mountains. (The picture attached is taken from the road, but if you crop the lower half, it's what you see)
