Holiday Inn Express Hotels in Lisbon

We enjoyed our week long stay here. Located next to Rossio train station, 10 minute walk to the water and many fine restaurants. Room was bight, however our standard room was a little small but didn’t take away from the property. Many days we were left, cakes, nuts, fruit etc. My only problem was the lack of English TV. CNN was not available.

I’m gonna go through the pros and then I’ll go through the cons of this establishment. On my original arrival I was an early booking and early arrival so I was given the choice of either paying $30 a night more for the room and allowed to check in early or wait to 3/4 hours while they stored my bags. I elected to go with the latter and chose to have lunch in the restaurant, which was a huge mistake because the Aqua restaurant had horrible food on a fixed price menu, and even though I clearly did not like my servings, and there was no recourse offered by the staff to change my selections or be refunded so I just Waited until my bags were ready to go to the room and went and relaxed at that point. So the front desk which was my first experience of the intercontinental, was a fiasco, and I will always have that first impression of not being taken care of on the other hand, I will say that the room service was really good for breakfast And that the concierge and Bell hop option was their winning strategy because they have really good people working in their hotel, and I was able to get some great tips and advice from the locals. I will also say that they have several sports channels which was great, because I wanted to watch the French Open while I was in town and that the beds are extremely comfortable. There are numerous pillows and the sheets are magic, the towels are also quite good and keep in mind that this hotel does not have a pool or a spa so there’s no massage services offered

I appreciated how this hotel was able to accommodate me on short notice after the original hotel I had booked with canceled my reservation. The rate was reasonable and it was located where I needed to be. The Grand Lisboa Hotel is part of a chain of VIP hotels in Lisbon. It was quite clean but slightly run down. The room was basic and since I just needed to sleep and shower, it was fine. All the money has been put into the bathroom with modern fixtures. The bathtub is high and slippery. There was no mat to prevent falling and stepping out of the tub felt a bit precarious. The rest of the room was spare. The bed was quite firm. A table and chair in the room had some sort of dried spill on them. Bottled water was complimentary. I did not make use of the bar or restaurant facilities whilst there. To change money, on goes to a sister hotel, the VIP Zurich-walking distance-and receives a poor exchange rate. Live and learn. The service, overall, is helpful. I was given suggestions, directions, maps, etc. All the things one expects from those in the hospitality business happened. No complaints, there.

A Korean’s enchanting three-day hotel stay It was a truly happy three days of honeymoon. The staff at the hotel worked tirelessly to create a truly happy time. I left very impressed with the service, from the smallest details, to always smiling and not hesitating to deal with any difficulties for us. Although I met new faces on a rotational basis for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, their warm smiles and friendly guidance were common features to me. The staff in charge of ordering and serving breakfast were extremely friendly, and I was happy with the service I received no matter what my requests were. My wife and I were very happy to be able to start our honeymoon, which had been postponed due to the coronavirus, in a truly magical hotel. Hotel sales have achieved great results every year... If I go to Lisbon again, I will definitely visit that hotel. 1. Location: There is absolutely nothing better. It's an alley right next to the square, so it's safe and you can go there late at night, but be careful because there are homeless people on the opposite side of the street (no need to go there;;) 2. Hygiene: Once you go on a real trip, it is very clean, almost like a new hotel. 3. Service: The most perfect in the world 4. Facilities: The space between the bed and the front shelf is a little narrow, but the bathroom is spacious (you can sleep) and the space next to the bed is spacious. Stayed in August for 3 nights. Lovely hotel with very friendly staff. We arrived late in the evening and didn't want to eat out so ate in the bar/restaurant. The guy in there was brilliant, so friendly and helpful, nothing too much trouble and the food was great. Likewise the breakfast staff, especially the other guy. The coffee to die for, better than I've had anywhere. Would definitely stay in a Vincii again, and definitely stay in this one if in Lisbon.

The hotel location is very good, located in the center of the old town, a few steps to the shopping center, there are many attractions nearby, even walking distance, the room layout and design is very good, the facilities are very good, the hotel service is very good, especially the kids club , Very suitable for family travel, breakfast is very rich, everything is very beautiful, but I think the shower settings need to be improved, should not have a bathtub, it is not convenient for children and the elderly to take a bath, in fact the bathtub is very impractical.

Perfect location with the hotel about 20 walk downhill into town centre or 2 minute walk to the Metro - Marques de Pombal. We used a viva viagem card for zapping our way around . Can get anywhere in Lisboa really quickly and cheaply . Rooms were spotless and kept that way during our stay . Room could have done with a chest of drawers or some drawers in the bedside tables as storage was not generous. Breakfast was a simple but tasty buffet with hot or cold choices. Staff worked hard to refresh buffet and keep the tables free. Place is all you need for a good base to explore Lisboa.

Great value, great service, great room, great breakfast, great staff. We stayed between travel arriving from Paris at night and needing a great close to the airport place to rest for the night and this was the perfect fit for our family of four. We loved our two queen bed suite with a sleeper sofa room.
