We visited in August and found the best winter getaway - 30+ degrees in the daytime though the swimming pool water was only for the brave. Highlights were the welcoming Friday evening braai and the night walk and stick bread, compliments of the great staff.

It was raining for most of the time we were at the lodge ,but the two days it didn't rain , we were able to go out with the kids and enjoy the play areas as they had a couple ,as well as the pool ... The stuff is truly the best , they made our stay the so nice .the resort is about an hours drive from Gods window so we went there . They also have a dinosaur park in the vicinity, we took the kids there also , they had tons of fun ...great place to visit in general

My husband and I visited Sudwala Lodge on a mini vacay/mission trip. We have visited South Africa on other occasions but had not visited this particular lodge. We booked through RCI and arranged for additional stay outside of RCI because we wanted to check out the Sudwala caves. We stayed here right before Father's Day and my husband received a Father's Day gift mug from the lodge. I feel this lodge is a great value for the money. The staff is excellent : reception, cooks,housekeeping, and security guards are amazing. If you have a large family the rooms at this lodge will comfortably accommodate you at a fraction of the cost.

Lodge is well located within the mountains giving and unforgettable view. Close to the Sudwala caves with a zipline, Dino park and butterfly effect nature garden. Many swimming pools, gym game room jacuzzi and take away restaurant. Early morning stroll we were greeted with buck and lovely melodies of birds.
