Me and Moroccan partner got married on 21st September 2024. We went to a few different hotels after our wedding to enjoy our honeymoon and relax. When coming back to meknes where his family stay so we could spend time with them we decided to try book the ibis as its central and close to them. We had stayed here in May earlier this year so knew it was nice and relaxing. When arriving the girl on reception told us we could not stay, both wearing our wedding rings having photos of proof, having my certificate of impediment from the uk to show the date of marriage both me and my partners names date of birth address etc was still not enough, she asked why his passport was not the same as mine, I responded saying he does not have visa yet which is why they are different, she asked for marriage certificate I replied everything was with solicitor for visa. I then asked to speak with a manager or supervisor she said there was nobody there. Her attitude and the way she treated me and my husband was a disgrace. I will never ever return back to this hotel. We stayed at many after our wedding and was never refused or questioned. I’m disgusted that during our honeymoon period we were refused and turned away from this international hotel. I sent a complaint and 3 days later still no response which is bad customer service, this should have been responded to within 48hours
