Romantic Hotels in Melbourne

Given the rate we paid for our accommodation I was dubious as to what we were going to find. And my low expectations couldn't have been further off. The Vibe Hotel is excellent! Location is fabulous with trams out front, off site parking within stones throw (and with a voucher making it cheap as chips for city parking) heated indoor pool to name a few. The rooms aren't huge but are exceptionally comfortable with all the amenities that you need. Breakfast was excellent and given it was included in the rate, was an extra wow factor as I was expecting something simple (continental) but nope! All the staff we encountered were lovely, helpful and just added to a great stay overall! Only 4 star rating I would give was with sleep quality - but that was my choice of room location. There was some street noise (city views were worth any noise issue though) but it certainly didn't keep us awake. It may be a bother to some though.

Exceeded my expectations. Best hotel in Melbourne. Had not stayed there before, but so glad i did. So close to the city, but just far enough removed for it to be quiet and calm. Typically i would stay either on southbank or in the CBD proper but will definitely go back to the PH next time

It was a nice stay with a great room and the Manager was lovely his English is. Terrific. And I have a feeling that he does all this work on his own.

Generally speaking, there is nothing wrong with the room. The location is excellent. It is in the free area of ​​​​the bus. It is very convenient to go to the airport bus and Tangren Express. There are many bars downstairs and it is very lively at night. It's just that holidays on Fridays and Saturdays in big cities are more expensive. If you stay on Fridays and Saturdays, the room rate is astonishing. It’s better to book in advance.

The location is great, being just a short 10-minute walk from Southern Cross Station. Arriving at the hotel early (around 10 am) on the check-in date, there are not much people waiting for the front desk. However, it still took us 20-30 minutes to complete the check-in process, and we were informed that the hotel was fully booked with no available rooms at that time, leading to a delay in our check-in until a 'reasonable time' (around 5 pm) when we returned to ”complete the check-in process.” While we could leave our luggage with the concierge, the hotel couldn't deliver them to the room due to understaffing, so we had to carry them ourselves after receiving the room key card. Interestingly, despite the lengthy morning check-in, we still had to finish the self-check-in from a tablet upon our return to get the room card. I provided my Australian contact number during check-in for notifications or urgent matters, hoping for a call, WhatsApp, or SMS when the room was ready. Unfortunately, the hotel only notified us via email,

It was a good experience, we stayed 2 nights in this hotel. The hotel is pretty new, located in Dockland ( last stop of the free tram zone), only take 20 minutes to city by free tram, great saving of transportation. We got 2 Queen bed room for 3 peoples, free water, free coffee. Also had swimming pool and gym located in level 6 Highly recommend place for people who want to travel around Melbourne cbd

The room is fully equipped with electric stove and microwave for simple cooking. There is also a laundry room for guests to wash and dry clothes. Unfortunately, the soundproofing is poor and you can hear the residents in the neighboring rooms talking. Fortunately, the residents were considerate of each other and did not cause any noise.

After many years of delayed construction we stayed at the Ritz Carlton this past Sunday night. I grabbed a rate of $491 through the Marriott website which is comparable or a bit cheaper than other 5* hotels at the other end of town. The hotel is situated at the western end of the city near the main railway station which isn't the best location in Melb for a luxury hotel. However when pulling into the entrance to have the car valet parked ($75) it's another world. The guys at the entrance were friendly and very helpful. We were escorted to the lifts and whisked up to Level 80 for check in. We were given lots of information about the hotel and facilities and the man checking us in was pleasant and tole us that we were as close to the top on Level 77. The room is spacious with a separate toilet, luggage compartment and big bathroom with bath and a large desk. The views were incredible looking across the city to the east and the bay. Unfortunately our room was a couple of levels above the neighbouring tall building so I could hear the air con all night. As typical of luxury hotels the bed had too soft pillows for my liking and we should've asked for firmer pillows, I don't know why hotels continue to provide such soft pillows. I went to Level 64 for a swim in the shallow pool which was great with incredible views. We met friends and family for drinks in the lounge where the service was prompt and friendly but the drinks are very expensive which is to be expected of a luxury hotel. On the Sunday night near midnight there was a 3.8 richter earthquake in Melbourne but I didn't feel it but my wife said the building moved slightly and I did notice the clock had moved slightly. Breakfast on the long table is fantastic and we thought the breakfast was reasonably priced a la carte only with good selection available. I would stay here again given the right rate but keep in mind the hotel is a tram ride into the shopping and most of the restaurants are up the other end of the city.

Excellent apartment.Great staff and service.Nothing too much trouble.Very clean and well maintained common areas.Reception a very welcoming space. Staff very friendly, confident and efficient. Perfect location for Southbank,the City and attractions. Would highly recommend.

Our stay here was amazing, the apartment was big and spacious even equipped with a dishwasher, washing machine and dryer. Overall the hotel is very new and clean, and right next to a small shopping mall with a grocery store, eateries and a cinema. It is rather far from melbourne city area but easy to get to with a cab.
