The Riviera Maya Edition at Kanai

I rarely leave reviews for things but our experience here was so great that I have to. We just returned from spending 6 nights at this property and we couldn’t be raving about our experience more. The property itself is absolutely beautiful upon approach, it’s extremely secluded and does not feel like you’re 30 minutes away from the airport. Once you’re inside it’s stunning and every detail is beautifully designed and well executed. We had an ocean view plunge pool room on the ground floor which was also a really nice choice, however we did not end up using this much after the first morning because the two other pools and beach were far too nice to not use instead. The room itself was very big and had lots of space, lots of closet space to store luggage out of sight. The service and experience at the So’ol Beach Club and the beach itself were 10/10 - so many options for ordering food, on Sunday they had a special menu with grilled seafood also had a DJ which was a fun touch. Every hostess and server here was absolutely phenomenal especially Willie and Marco to name a few. The boutique in the hotel also was really nicely curated and had some interesting brands which is nice to see for a hotel boutique, I did buy a couple things. The spa in the hotel is also beautiful - it was my birthday while we were at the hotel and the spa manager invited us for a complimentary thermal experience to celebrate this which was extremely generous and appreciated. All of the restaurants at The Edition were amazing as well, there’s also golf carts to take you over to the St. Regis (we definitely recommend going to Toro for dinner - the staff and manger were all wonderful over there also) however the dining options within The Edition are good enough to warrant staying there - the experience at Ki’is was beyond and we haven’t stopped talking about. We ended up dining there twice, after going back for a wine tasting - once we were done we just decided to stay for dinner there, Roberto and another gentleman who did our wine tasting and second were truly outstanding and gave us some of the best service we’ve ever had in a restaurant. The breakfast service at Kitchen was also great with a large menu and like everywhere else had amazing service by Fernando. The concierge team was also great as expected, Joshua especially who was able to secure us a last minute reservation for Toro, so many other people could be named because everyone was out standing. We have zero complaints about this property and our time there and we could not recommend it more - we’re already looking at booking another stay over the coming winter months. Incredible property. Easy access from CUN, secluded/safe with highly attentive staff and wide arrange of amenities. Traveled with two large families and felt that the resort accommodated our joint party of 10 for meal seating, pool/beach cabana reservations and excursion planning at A+ levels. The 2 bedroom Edition Suites are top-notch; incredible design, views and comfort. Huge value over adjoining St. Regis property, with nearly identical rooms/amenities at reduced booking rates (+ the Edition was much quieter during our stay). This will be a top 10% Caribbean Mexican Resort in the next 12 months as more reviews/experience is spread....
