My husband and I just stayed for three nights and I highly recommend Lorimer Guest House to anyone visiting St Andrews. Check in and communication are great. We had a deluxe double suite facing the front of the house. It was so clean, spacious, and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and we enjoyed chatting with Scott and with other guests. The location is perfect for walking to the golf course, the castle, the cathedral, and many shops and restaurants. Highly recommend!

We booked this as a very last minute break away, our usual haunts in St Andrews were booked up but we recognised the address and gave Lorimers a try. First impressions were great, lovely house in a perfect location. Room was spotlessly clean and had all that was needed for a few days away. I have to admit, the room we were allocated was the one that I had saw on the website and hoped wasn’t ours (pine bedroom furniture gives me crappy memories of the 80!) (This is completely based on personal decor taste ) The room was really small, but was ok on this occasion as it was a short break, although I may have struggled if it had been longer. We didn’t try breakfast so can’t comment (we do like a lie in!) We would definitely come back but would book direct next time and upgrade the room. Thanks for a lovely stay. We met Scott when we were checking out and he was lovely.

What an absolute joy and delight!!! We stayed for 5nights and wished we didn’t have to leave. Scott has truly perfected the B&B experience. From the booking, extremely easy entry, clean rooms (done up each day) breakfast, advice, to check out; our stay could not have been better. Our room was absolutely beautiful. Beds so comfortable. Sunny and bright with block out curtains. Bath was roomy with lots of storage. Great closet for all clothes. Breakfast was awesome; we had full Scottish Breakfast, and porridge. Delicious each morning. Wonderful conversations! Scott had wonderful suggestions for eating and visiting the town, which was easy to walk to. We plan on returning and can’t wait. It’s like coming g home… Thank you Scott!!!!

Scott is a great host and provides great conversation. Check in was a breeze. The rooms are clean and very well kept. Breakfast was great each day and he will cater to dietary needs. Everything you need is within walking distance. Scott is a golfer and understands what you may need throughout your trip.

If you’re looking for a short stay in St Andrews then look no further than here The room we had was very clean, comfortable and reasonably priced The owner Scott was a lovely guy and very amenable, he also cooks a great breakfast 👍 It is in a prime location and worth a visit

Best ever hotel in my life that i expereince.cleanliness,nice room comfy bed,breakfast food is so yummy,best pancakes i ever taste in my life.location is great,close to everything.you dont need a car.4 minutes walk to st andrews old course.if you are a golfer this is where you want to stay.right in the town center.walking distance in everything.excellent host SCOTT is very helpful.i will definitely be back at st andrews and stay again here.highly recommended.Thank you Scott
