GGuest UserShiba Park Hotel is a beautiful, clean, quiet, elegant, fairly priced, stylish & cozy place. The rooms are large enough and the bathroom is modern, with all the amenities. In the room there is a safe, a large TV, comfortable sleepers and 2 brown cotton robes to wear when relaxing. We recommend to stay in this hotel to any tourist visiting the city, as it’s close to Daimon subway station and to many other attractions (Tokyo tower and Zojo-ji temple). Nice service, although the receptionists are a little slow. At floor 4 there’s a self service laundry (washer, drier and ironing board) that you can use with just 400 yens, at floor 8 there’s a water dispenser, and at floor 5 you can find a vending machine with cold water, sodas and beer! You can drink unlimited free coffee and tea at the main floor, and there’s a full restaurant at the entrance.
MMaY ChpThe hotel is clean, looks new and nice design too. Rooftop is the bonus as can see Tokyo Skytree and Sensoji Temple clearly. Nice view. However, the location bit far from Asasuka station by walking. But if you walk through Nakamise street, you will find it interesting as lots things to shop and eat😉
A helpful staff during our check in as she went extra miles to assist us to call the parking lot management and enquired their charge rate. Sorry I’ve forgotten to ask her name.

CCorinna FinneyMy partner and I stayed here for 6 nights and it was our favorite place that we stayed during our 3 week trip to Japan. It has some of the largest rooms at a very reasonable mid-range price for Tokyo and it really feels like a four-star hotel. The rooms are still small, but they're definitely more spacious than you're going to find anywhere else at this price range. We really liked the buffet breakfast that was served in the restaurant downstairs every morning. The room is very clean and the shower is a separate room from the toilet and sink area, and the toilet fan works very well. The shower was high enough for my 195 cm partner to be able to shower without crouching, not that small, and had high water pressure and hot water. The hotel staff were very helpful with any questions, the gym had to be reserved for an hour block to be used and only allowed one person at a time, despite being just a block in from the busy Asakusa area, it was very quiet there. One thing that was strange to us was the many, many girls dressed in maid outfits standing on the main street (not outside the hotel) mostly in the evening. It took a while but we finally learned that they are advertising maid cafes or similar style cafes. None of the outfits are particularly provocative and the girls never tried to hand us a flyer since we always walked together, but if you will be male and walking around alone you can expect them to try to hand flyers to the cafes to you, but it's not that bothersome at all. The Asakusa area is known for it's technology and gaming stores, so expect to see a lot of those around. The subway stations are very close by and easy to get to, and the area is extremely safe. Both there and on the rest of our trip we never felt in danger at any point.
We both have dietary restrictions that make eating in Japan challenging or extremely limiting at best, and the breakfast had plenty of options that allowed us to fill up and make it until dinnertime before needing another full meal. I am gluten-free, and while some of the rotating breakfast items had gluten, a lot of them didn't. There were eggs and bacon every morning which are an easy win for me, and the different foods are labelled with the broadest allergens (wheat, dairy, egg, etc.) but aren't specific with the ingredients beyond that, such as corn.
MMichelle0037Conveniently located right next to Akihabara station and the main streets of the ”Electric city” itself, we got around very easily using the JR lines. Good place to find great food and plenty of convenience stores around. The room was pretty small (not suitable for those with large bags or long-term stays), but for us it was enough. And the bathtub was surprisingly spacious too :)
AAnonymous UserAbout 7 mins walk from the Ikebukuro station. Will walk through an entertainment area from train station to hotel, so it might feel a bit uneasy for girls at night. The public bath is a bit small and cannot accommodate many people at the same time. An average score given the price.
DdyhxNot my first time staying here and as usual, they don't accord complimentary early check in, even when they have availability. They are truly a 3* that's pretending to be 4* but charging rates of a 5*. Paying through the roof just for the location. The rooms are dated and small, yet having paid over SGD340 per night for a single room (1 super single bed), and the entire room came with just 1 powerpoint socket. I'm further disappointed that having stayed here almost annually for 5 years in a row pre-covid, they've never bothered to track my preferences and I really dread a room far away from the lifts where I have to drag my heavy luggage through carpeted flooring and dragging my feet after a long day of walking. Goes to show how much they value repeated guests. The front desk staff have lost their smiles except for the 2 younger ones managing the luggage storage. The staff on the day I checked out were a little friendlier but yes, don't expect complimentary late check out either.
Room is also only made up upon request, if you fail to place the magnet on your door before 12nn, it'll not be cleaned.
AAmy05Nice hotel in Ginza and very nice and friendly staff. One elevator can be quite slow in peak times. Did not try the breakfast so cannot comment. Rooms are very small but expected for Tokyo. The hot spring is also very small but nice.
GGuest UserThe hotel uses self-service check-in. This time, we have two adults and a one-and-a-half-year-old baby. The room looks very big in the photo, but it would be a bit awkward to put two suitcases in. This time, I was more disappointed when I entered the room. I found that the cleaning was not very clean, there was a lot of hair from the previous tenant, and there was dust on the refrigerator. The towels provided by the hotel have a strong smell of bleach, so it is recommended to bring your own towels.
The location is about 15 minutes from the station. The only good thing is that the eel rice next door is delicious.
LLiz Arabelle Tan-RevillaWe enjoyed our stay here! Although the hotel is farther away from the Tokyo Metro than we anticipated. It is near the Tsukaba Express line, about 5 minutes walk; but you will mostly use the Asakusa Line, Ginza Line etc all part of the Tokyo Metro, to get to most places. The Tokyo Metro is about 15 min walk from the hotel. But we appreciated that it was near the hustle and bustle of Asakusa.
You'll be near the Sensoji Temple, a lot of restaurants and shops, most especially the 24/7 Don Quijote. There are also pharmacies nearby for any emergencies.
We arrived at around 4pm, and there was a front desk staff present to help us check in. They speak good english and understand it well too, so you wouldn't have any trouble communicating with them. They aren't around in the morning, I believe they are only there from the afternoon til night time. We checked out really early, around 5AM and no one was there but upon check in they instructed us to just leave the keys in the box at the front desk. Also, they leave notes on the front desk that can be helpful for you. Like they leave the telephone out just in case you need to call a cab, or call whomever; and if you ever need any toiletries, towels etc refilled, you can easily grab what you need at the hotel lobby where they have everything ready for you.
The hotel also has an elevator, which was so convenient given that we were carrying 4 baggages, and we were almost at the top floor.
The hotel room is just enough for two people. The beds were two single beds pushed together. The bed and pillows were comfy to sleep in especially after a day of walking 20k+ steps in the city. There is space for your luggages under the beds so we didn't have any trouble with that. We had two 26” luggages and one 30” luggage and one duffle bag.
The bathroom has toiletries ready, hand and body towels, toothbrushes, shampoo, conditioner, body wash etc. Also a hair dryer and extra toilet paper rolls. I'd say I have all that I need in the bathroom. The toilet has an automatic bidet and heated seat. Shower and toilet is separated by a door. Shower and bathtub has a heater.
I wasn't sure if they offered laundry services for clothes, but there is a nearby self-service laundromat that we used before out trip ended.
Overall I'd recommend this to someone who is on a budget, wants a comfortable stay, and most importantly is ok with walking long distances (but tbh if you're going to Japan you definitely have to be ok with walking A LOT).
