I recently stayed at this hotel for two nights with friends and have mixed feelings about it. The well-maintained property has a unique atmosphere, and the service from Mr Manoj and the staff was excellent. The food was enjoyable, with a touch of Sri Lankan taste, and the room amenities were solid. The surrounding view is pleasant, especially if you appreciate nature, and it's close to attractions like Knuckles Forest Reserve, Dumbara mountain ranges and Meemure Village. On the downside, the hotel is quite isolated, and the misty climate creates a somewhat eerie atmosphere at night, which might be inconvenient for solo travellers or single families. Additionally, there is no mobile network signal, and the hotel's wifi is unreliable. The full board per person cost is relatively high. Despite the narrow road, it's navigable for regular vehicles. A highlight is the beautiful surrounding nature, complemented by a small natural pool in the estate's water stream. I'd give it three stars, taking into account the mentioned drawbacks, but it's important to acknowledge the commendable service provided by the hotel staff.
