Vaasa Hotels with Wi-Fi

An older two part hotel (new and original on the other side of the street) in city center of Vaasa. Easy access to the market square, nice for the summer months... Breakfast offered on the original location on the other side of the street, don't worry there is a underground access to there... Bicycled can be borrowed from the lobby at no cost but there is limited number of those. Swimming pool and a sauna on the top floor, nice.

We spend our weekend here in one of the renovated rooms. It was clean and good enough to spend few nights. Bathroom isn't renovated though. Still worth the money. Goal of our holiday was to have some good time in Tropiclandia with our 6 year old. Tropiclandia is very kid-friendly place. Clean, but outdated. But still great place to give you children some good memories in warm waterpark atmosphere.

Going to Vaasa on a business trip, the client suggested this hotel. The location is very good, in the city center, the room is large, especially the bathroom, there is a Jacuzzi, sauna, shower, the shower water is big, very comfortable. The shower gel shampoo provided is also a Swedish brand, not bad. However, the bathroom is not separated from wet and dry. Other furniture facilities are a bit old, but overall it is not bad. The breakfast provided is OK. There are not many Chinese buffet dishes, but it is enough. As long as it is about 10 Euros, it is cheap. Remember to bring toothpaste toothbrush slippers, they don't provide disposable utensils. Service is OK, there is a question and answer is more enthusiastic.

Original Sokos Hotel Vaakuna is a high quality - non smoking - enjoyable hotel in the centre of Vaasa. The hotels excellent location right in the heart of the city provides you with excellent shopping opportunities. The idyllic marine view is only a five minute walk away. The cosy rooms and the excellent meeting facilities offer discerning travellers -groups and meetings flexible services. All rooms are equipped with their own cooling system. There are five meeting rooms for max. 120 guests providing excellent facilities for successful events.

Our room was tidy and clean. The room was very small, and no space to put things neither in the room or in the bathroom. Not very practical for travellers. The marketing information about the room mentioned 'air condition' but there was no air condition of the room (to adjust the temperature; 'ilmastointi' in finnish), there was only a regular ventilation system ('koneellinen ilmanvaihto' in finnish). Location of the hotel is not very practical for a walk and see the town. Very limited space for car parking.
