🏨Hotel History: Its predecessor was the first resort hotel on Lake Como, Casta Diva, built in 1797 as Villa Roccabruna. It was later owned by opera singer Giuditta Pasta. After several changes of ownership, nearly two hundred years later, it was taken over by the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group. Thus, it became the first resort hotel of the Mandarin Oriental Group in Italy and even Western Europe.
