Aomori Nebuta Festival

#Summer Festival 2024 The Aomori Nebuta Festival is held in Aomori City, Aomori Prefecture from August 2nd to 7th. Every year, more than 2 million tourists visit. It was designated as a national important intangible folk cultural property in 1980. It is considered to be one of the three major festivals in Tohoku. One of the real pleasures of the Aomori Nebuta Festival is that if you follow the rules, you can become a honeyto and everyone can participate in the festival. Costume can be purchased and rented at local department stores.
