The temple built by a theater troupe.

🏡Wat Lakhon Tham was built around 1851 during the reign of King Rama II by Mr. Boonyang, the head of an outdoor theater troupe. At that time, there were two famous theater troupes: the indoor troupe of Prince Krom Luang Pitak Montri and the outdoor troupe of Mr. Boonyang. 👨👩👦👦Mr. Boonyang was very wealthy and had great faith in Buddhism, so he built this temple. The villagers helped name it Wat Lakhon Tham. 🙏Wat Lakhon Tham held its boundary marking ceremony in 1970. During this ceremony, King Rama IX presided over the cutting of the boundary stone. The important and interesting features within the temple include: 🏠The ordination hall, built in 1970, is surrounded by a crystal wall.
