Beijing Parent-Child Exhibition｜After seeing this exhibition, it made me re-examine my own views on parent-child education

It is said that children are a mirror of their parents. Over the weekend, I went to the UCCA Lab in 798 with my child to see a parent-child exhibition🖼. The works were completed by 15 artists in collaboration with their own children👨‍👩‍👧‍👦. In this exhibition called 'Book Like a Mirror'🪞, we saw the diversity of parent-child relationships and the details in parent-child life that we easily ignore, but they record and magnify in their works🔎. ⭕️Exhibition highlights: ✅13 works from 15 artists and 13 families, all completed in collaboration with their children, presenting a fusion of maturity and innocence ✅The exhibited works involve painting🎨, photography, material installation, fabric art, video imaging🎥, etc., with rich forms ✅During the exhibition, adults will have their own vision and understanding, and children will have their own intuition and views. This exhibition is very suitable for parent-child viewing 🔸Children's exhibition experience Almost half of the exhibited works were completed by the artists' children themselves, and their immature brushes resonated with the children who visited the exhibition. For example, in the circular light box💡work 'Landscape' created by Yang Guangnan and his daughter Yang Xianxian, the child could tell me what he saw in the painting🖌, and the answers were imaginative. I believe that Yang Xianxian also had the same freedom when creating. 🔸Thoughts brought by some works ☑️The work of artist Li Shurui and musician Li Daiguo with their baby Chen Wo, using video🎦 to show some daily life of family education during the 😷mask period. These fragments of life will resonate greatly with every parent-child family👨‍👩‍👦 who has personally experienced and experienced that special period. That special period when family education time is longer than school education time, brings us as parents the thought of 'how to better educate children' and 'how to educate children to face difficulties in life'🤔. ☑️The work of designer Zhu Sha and her daughter Zhu Kankan, Zhu Sha made a large-format same-name picture book📔 of 146 works🎨 created by her daughter from 2-7 years old. The work also includes the child's own statement about the work. Visitors can flip through and listen with gloves and headphones🎧. The child's daily scribbles that we may think are 'messy' are carefully arranged by the designer father using his own expertise, and printed and exhibited in the art gallery🏛. In addition to clearly seeing the child's growth and progress in art during the browsing📖 process, it also reflects a father's affirmation and respect for the child's art. We used to accept 'father-son' education, and then slowly advocated 'friend-style' parent-child education, but this parent-child work reflects a deeper parent-child education method and relationship, which is worth our deep thought, discussion and reference. Children👦 see the fun and imagination in the works, while parents will bring more thoughts about parent-child education through these works.
