One glance and you'll want to dive right in, green is the most beautiful start of spring

The new buds of the camphor trees on the ancient Huangge Trail are just unfolding, beautifying the time and dazzling the years. This ancient trail paved with bluestone slabs meanders through the dense shade of the tung trees, once a necessary path for merchants from Sichuan and Guizhou through the ages. A gentle breeze carries the faint special fragrance of the camphor trees through the air. Most of the ancient trail has disappeared without a trace, but walking on the bluestone path, surrounded by lush towering trees, climbing the moss-covered inscribed steles, the ever-burning incense at Laojun Cave halfway up the mountain, the old street of Huangjueya at the mountain top, and the hidden former residence of Sanmao, all tell the long past of this ancient trail to the visitors. Dunhou Slope Old Street is one of the passages connecting to the ancient Huangge Trail, also known by tourists as the Chongqing version of 'The Place with Wind'. The Laojun Cave hidden halfway up the ancient Huangge Trail is known as 'Chongqing's number one Taoist site', extending the tranquility of the ancient trail. From Laojun Cave, one can overlook the Yangtze River, get a close view of Nanbin, gaze into the distance at Jialing, and take in several Yangtze River bridges and the mountainous Yuzhong district at a glance. 🚉Transportation Strategy: Take the rail transit loop line to 'Shanghao Station' exit 4A, ask a passerby, and walk for 5 minutes to the entrance of the ancient Huangge Trail. Follow the steps to the quaint Dunhou Slope, walk to the end, pass under the bridge, and you officially enter the ancient Huangge Trail. Continue uphill, turn right at every road, and finally reach Huangjueya Old Street. Exiting the main gate of Laojun Cave, walking down the steps on the right will take you back to the ancient remains of the Huangge Trail's Five-Foot Way that you passed earlier. Following the same route will take you back to Shanghao subway station.
