Ciyun Zen Temple

Ciyun Nunnery is located on Southeast Street of the ancient city. It was built in the first year of the Tianqi era of the Ming Dynasty and was later destroyed. The existing main hall has three bays in width and three bays in depth. Inside, there are seated statues of the 'Three Saints': Shakyamuni, Manjushri, and Samantabhadra. Some remaining murals, all of which are original works from the early Ming Dynasty, can be found. When visiting Ciyun Temple, pay attention to the opening hours. The temple opens at specific times, so it is advisable to check in advance.
