The Keyuan Museum in Dongguan is located in the west of Boxia Village, Guancheng District, Dongguan City, Guangdong Province. Its predecessor was the Dongguan Keyuan, one of the four famous gardens in Guangdong during the Qing Dynasty, which was established in the 30th year of the Daoguang period (1850). The Dongguan Keyuan Management Office was renamed the 'Dongguan Keyuan Museum'; on November 1 of the same year, a plaque hanging ceremony was held. On April 22, 2008, the new museum of Keyuan Museum held its opening ceremony. The museum covers an area of 17,900 square meters. The Dongguan Keyuan Museum is a thematic museum that relies on Keyuan garden architecture to collect, display, and study classical garden architecture and Lingnan School cultural relics, and disseminate Lingnan architectural culture and Lingnan School art. It has display exhibitions such as 'Lingnan Traditional Gardens and Houses', 'Juchao, Julian and Keyuan', 'Mo Bozhi and Lingnan Architectural Art' and periodically updated mobile exhibitions. It integrates collection protection, display exhibitions, academic research, art exchanges, and cultural leisure.
