Great Ocean Road, Loch Ard Gorge

Here, there is an interesting history. It goes back to 1878. There was a large junk named Loch Ard sailing from England to Melbourne for more than three months. It crashed into Mutton Bird Island. In this area, almost everyone on the ship died. Only two teenage boys survived, a man named Tom Pearce and a woman named Eva Carmichael. Therefore, there are 4 interesting points here. Three of them are on the cliffs: 1. Tom and Eva Lookout, two stone pillars named after the two surviving children. 2. The Razorback is a large, narrow cliff that juts out into the ocean. The overall view of this point is beautiful. 3. Mutton Bird Island Lookout, a viewpoint of Mutton Bird Island where the ship crashed and sank. The other point is below, which is the main name of this place, Loch Ard Gorge. It is temporarily closed.
