A great place to take the kids on the weekend: Yunluo Botanical Garden

Yunluo Botanical Garden is located at the southern foot of Baiyun Mountain Scenic Area in Guangzhou, covering an area of 86.6 hectares. It is an urban botanical garden built by Guangzhou to promote biodiversity conservation and sustainable development strategies. Upon entering the park, the first thing that catches your eye is the eight special gardens, including the Bougainvillea Garden, the Fragrant Plant Garden, and the Kapok Road, which conserve more than 1,500 species of native and rare plants. Among them, the three "treasures of the garden" - the "Five Sparrows" Bougainvillea, the Baobab Tree, and the Queen's Staghorn Fern - are must-see attractions for visitors. The "Kapok Road" aerial walkway is one of the highlights of Yunluo Botanical Garden. It stretches nearly 2 kilometers through the canopy of Baiyun Mountain, allowing visitors to overlook the entire botanical garden from mid-air while gazing at the skyline of downtown Guangzhou in the distance. In addition, the carnivorous plant exhibition and the Gesneriaceae exhibition held in Lanting Hall A and B respectively also provide visitors with a rich science education and viewing experience. When visiting, it is recommended to wear comfortable shoes and bring sunscreen and water. There are several dining spots and cultural and creative stores in the park where you can enjoy food and buy souvenirs. Yunluo Botanical Garden is open from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, and tickets start at CNY 20, with discounts for group tickets and specific events. In terms of transportation, you can take a bus to Yuntai Garden Terminal or drive there. There are Baiyun Shuangyan Robot Parking Lot and Yunshan Tiandi Parking Lot nearby.
