Punch in at the new "industrial style" landmark - Hanggang Park

Hangzhou Grand Canal Hanggang Park, referred to as Hanggang Park, is located at the intersection of Lianlu Road and Tianxiang Avenue in Gongshu District, Hangzhou. Hanggang Park was established in 2004, when Hanggang Group built it as a recreational and entertainment spot for the employees of Hanggang Plant and tourists from other places. In the 1950s, the predecessor of Hanggang Park was the first steel plant in Zhejiang Province, which solved the demand contradiction caused by the insufficient steel supply in Zhejiang in the early days of the founding of New China. In the following decades, the steel produced here played an important role in the infrastructure development of Zhejiang and even the whole country. The high-strength cold heading steel and welding materials produced by Hanggang were applied to the Shenzhou 5, Shenzhou 6, and Shenzhou 7 spacecraft. In 2015, Hangzhou Steel Plant was completely shut down and gradually faded out of everyone's sight! With the development of the times, the former steel plant began to "transform and rebirth", and Hangzhou Steel Plant made a gorgeous comeback as the new image of Hangzhou Grand Canal Hanggang Park while retaining most of the original industrial relics. It has become another popular spot for young people along the Grand Canal! Nowadays, the public space part of Hanggang Park has been officially opened, retaining industrial relics such as blast furnaces, silos, and steam locomotives, and integrating ecological green plants, making it a great place for photography. At the same time, the other two blast furnaces of Hangzhou Grand Canal Hanggang Park will also be transformed into trendy art centers.
