Discovering HK's past

Tung Chung is often seen as a New Town extension that came to life along with the Airport. However, there are still hidden places that are a testament to Hong Kong's small and humble past. One of these are at Ma Wan Chung fishing village which is a nice moderate walk from Tung Chung MTR station. Although small in size, there are still numerous seafood restaurants as well as other restaurants and shops that remind you of the bygone days. Hong Kong Isn't all about skyscrapers and tall buildings as there are still small pockets for you to stroll around. Nearby, you can also go to Yat Tung estate to take the bus back to Tung Chung.
