Iga Ueno Castle.

Iga Ueno is laid out like a chessboard, and the temples and samurai residences in the city have retained their original appearance. Iga Ueno Castle is known as the "White Phoenix Castle" for its elegant white walls. It is also known for having the highest stone walls in Japan, which is why it was chosen as the filming location for Akira Kurosawa's "Throne of Blood." This is the birthplace of the famous haiku poet Matsuo Basho (1644–1694, who is as famous in Japan as Li Bai is in China). Even though he traveled all over Japan, he always thought of his hometown. To commemorate this great poet, the Haiseiden was built near Ueno Castle in 1942. The building is designed to resemble Basho's traveling attire, with a round roof symbolizing a hat, an octagonal eave symbolizing a cassock, pillars symbolizing a cane, and a plaque symbolizing a face. This is also the birthplace of the Iga ninja. The Ninja Museum next to Ueno Castle is said to have the largest collection of ninja artifacts in the world.
