Cute Capybaras at the Foot of Omuroyama

After visiting Omuroyama, you can head to the Cactus Animal Park at the foot of the mountain. The entrance fee is 2700 yen on weekdays and 2800 yen on holidays. If you have an Omuroyama cable car ticket or a 1-day or 2-day Ito bus pass, you can get a 200 yen discount. The zoo not only has various types of cacti but also adorable animals like desert foxes, alpacas🦙, prairie dogs, and the ever-popular capybaras! There are so many of them! Due to the hot weather, these top stars are lazily lying on the ground, and you can pet them as you like! For just 100 yen, you can buy feed and feed them to your heart's content! They are super cute😘😘. From November to April each year, there is a special event where capybaras take yuzu baths. Although it wasn't the special season when I visited, the gift shop had plush toys to 'quench my thirst.'
