First Day Upon my first visit to the Kyocera Museum of Art in Kyoto, I was deeply captivated by the contrast between the modern architecture and the surrounding traditional scenery. The museum showcased numerous exquisite ceramic works, ranging from ancient daily utensils to modern artistic pottery. Each piece reflected the artisans' dedication and creativity. I was particularly impressed by an exhibition themed around the four seasons, where the rich glazes of the ceramics mirrored the essence of nature. In the afternoon, I participated in a pottery-making workshop, experiencing the vitality of clay flowing through my fingers from shaping to glazing. With my own creation in hand, I concluded the day on a perfect note. Second Day The next morning, I returned to the Kyocera Museum to attend a lecture on the evolution of ceramic techniques, gaining a deeper understanding of how this ancient craft integrates with modern technology in everyday life. After the lecture, I strolled through the museum's commemorative garden, appreciating the intricate landscape design and contemplating the symbiotic relationship between humans and nature. In the afternoon, I visited nearby Okazaki Park, explored other cultural facilities in the area, and enjoyed a leisurely cup of matcha at a riverside café, soaking in the tranquility and beauty of Kyoto. This journey allowed me to rediscover the depth and possibilities of ceramic art.
