A Tranquil Stroll: A Journey of the Soul

In my numerous travels, Kyoto always carries a unique charm that captivates my heart. This time, I chose to wander around Kiyomizu-dera in the early morning and at night, allowing myself to be fully immersed in the tranquility and beauty of this ancient capital. In the early morning, Kyoto's streets are only gently caressed by a light breeze, bringing a touch of coolness. I strolled along Chawan-zaka, a quiet alley compared to the bustling Kiyomizu-zaka. Chawan-zaka is the birthplace of Kiyomizu pottery, and the old pottery shops glimmer softly in the morning light, exuding a faint scent of clay. Walking here, I couldn't help but slow down and savor the historical essence. As the sky brightened, I arrived at Kiyomizu-dera. This symbol of Kyoto, often crowded during the day, was a serene haven in the early morning. Facing the magnificent Niomon Gate, the sunlight filtered through the leaves and fell on the stone steps, making me forget the surrounding clamor. Standing on the Kiyomizu Stage, overlooking the entire Kyoto, the alternating cherry blossoms of spring and maple leaves of autumn create a kaleidoscope of colors. Every corner here seems to tell stories of the past, making me intoxicated by the weight of history. As night fell, the soft lights illuminated the streets, creating a different atmosphere in Sannen-zaka and Ninen-zaka. Walking along Sannen-zaka, the old wooden buildings looked particularly charming under the lights. This place is not only great for photography but also the best choice for savoring Kyoto's history. Holding my camera, I felt the surrounding tranquility. Occasionally, tourists passed by, adding a touch of vitality to the serenity. While shooting, I used a telephoto lens to capture those beautiful moments, as if time stood still. Finally, I arrived at Yasaka Shrine. At dusk, the afterglow of the sunset cast a mysterious hue on the shrine's eaves. This place is bustling during the day, but I prefer to quietly appreciate it at this moment. Standing in front of the shrine, gazing at the surrounding scenery, my thoughts drifted with the breeze. This tranquility and beauty allowed me to find a moment of peace in the bustling city, as if all worries were blown away. This trip to Kyoto, with the early morning Chawan-zaka and the nighttime Sannen-zaka and Yasaka Shrine, made me deeply appreciate the charm of this city. Whether it's the bustling crowds or the tranquil moments, Kyoto attracts every traveler in its unique way. Each visit is a spiritual cleansing, deepening my love for this city.
